Because of The Raid movie, I can't enjoy other action movie anymore. because of their slow hand-to-hand combat
in the first movie they fight for real , I dont know about the second

@@s0meRand0m129 yes based on the movie history all fighters were trained stuntmen and fighters so each blow punch or kick was landing they took it like champs
They may have used fake glass and weapons but the weapons were sometimes hard rubber or plastic so they would still hurt regardless of what they were made of the assassin is a national champion of the fighting style sylat and travels all over showing it off
There were very few wire stunts in both movies
Lastly the main reason i hate American action movies is cause after a punch is supposed to land they just cut to him reacting to it you never see it land so its slow and clunky and looks terrible

Karambit is actually a traditional Indonesian weapon, specifically the Minangkabau people, closely associated to Pencak Silat, although also considered traditional in Philippines. Pencak Silat btw, is the martial arts practiced by all the major characters in this film and the basis for the fight choreography.
Many Luzones people ex. Pampanga area can understand each other as per records because many Kapampangan settled in Sumatra, Malacca as based of Operation.

Hi Smith, it's time to know about panchak silat it's indonesian traditional martial arts that owned karambit as a weapon from were Kali practitioners adapted. both actors are not only screen played martial artist but in real they are from the panchak silat discipline background and one of the awesome movie. nice reaction keep doing it.
even manga as popular as jujutsu kaisen is inspired by the style of pencak silat in the raid 2 movie in the choso vs yuji scene

The fighting style they use is called Pencak Silat, an Indonesian martial art style! They basically make use of every single part of their body to fight, which is why it's so deadly and effective! And the karambit knife they use is notoriously hard to defend and steal from an attacker as well!
I love this martial art it’s very fast man and interesting thing that they do, using your elbows to target the knees and the low spinning round house kick

When it comes to silat on the weapons side there main target is the neck, arm, legs, and of course under the arm, that’s for the karambit, when it comes to straight edge weapons they do target the same area as the karambit as well but except they go for the arm and followed by the neck, when they go for the arm is multiple stabs and followed by a nice deep slash and then the neck, they go for the arm in that way to prevent someone from grabbing the weapon or your arms/hands, it’s a scary and deadly martial art
Although Silat is mostly weapons based but they do teach unarmed stuff and the attacker would have to eat hospital food just looking at the unarmed stuff is just as deadly as if they had weapons

FYI. KALI style is originated from the Kingdom of MAJAPAHIT which outhorised the lands of Indonesia in general, Malaysia, Singapore, Philipine, South Thailand and so on which is called NUSANTARA Archipelago. The Capital of Majapahit was located in East Java of Indonesia.
The style of Majapahit martial art actually had 3 known styles, called ; WATU, KALI, and the other one I forgot. But those three then only remains one that still exists now in the world populerised in Philippine. The Philippines named the inheritance of Majapahit martials art as KALI MAJAPAHIT.

Salah, Kali atau biasa dikenal dengan Arnis atau juga Eskrima itu original asli dari Filipina atau FML (filipino martial arts). Kali Majapahit itu beda lagi. Jadi Kali original ama Kali Majapahit itu beda.

I'm a bit confused with the hashtag, Philippines martial art? This SILAT, from originally from Indonesia, and every south east asia have they own version. Malaysia got 1, Borneo got they own version. But i believe Indonesia got they few own version too
Indonesia don't have "few" version. In fact Indonesia has the MOST number of Silat styles in the world since it's the place of origin.
Indonesia is the mainland of Silat as is China is the mainland of Kungfu.
Silat is just a nickname of Pencak Silat. It originated in Indonesian islands (Java & Sumatera) and spread out across South East Asia through migration of Indonesian people in the last several centuries.
In the Philippines it's adopted, adapted and became known as Kali.
In Malaysia, they called it "Silat Melayu" but it's basically the same.
Philippines also have their own version of Silat. Though, only the Moros use this. They don't want to teach it to non-moros.

One example for this martial art is Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon which also my favorite, not too brutal to see but the reason how Pencak Silat was in the film is Raya's style to fight including the stances

funny, I’ve never heard that musical score with this scene; maybe a different international version? In my opinion the original (or the original music I know of for this scene) is subtly more intense and builds to the end of the fight
Also they really over emphasized the sword blade sounds with Karambits here compared to the original.
