Mines putting out 114 at the wheel, and mine needs a light tune up and it's booked in with a professional outfit called Aprilia Performance. Apart from a single silencer bog standard mate. You need to go to them before you do anything to the bike.
Gemini Man they haven’t got a rolling road, nor can they dyno one, so personally, I don’t need to see them at all, the guys who tuned this bike for me where fantastic.
@@Pj-rk7ih but Griff is THE Mille expert and knows these better than anyone. That said he'd be the first to tell you that the guys you used were good but can offer so much more insight to that motor and to detailed fine tuning and reliability mods. They are the go to guys at AP. Open airbox, modded collector, Forza200 Eprom and pulse trim pots for injectors fine tuned using gas analyser. Dyno simply confirms the numbers...nothing else. Expect 117 to 120 rwbhp with these mods if not a little more.
@@ReferenceFidelityComponents I don’t agree mate, to you they may well be the dogs b@llox, but me personally don’t get that from them. I was more than happy with how the day went, but my opinion on Ap is far from the same as you.
People don't understand that dynos do not get the exact number one dyno could say 116 but another will tell you 120 its for your tuning the air fuel on the bike and getting the most out of it, bike looks well mate, what air box mod did you go for?
i have a 2005 tuono factory gen1 ,57 tb`s, garbo mary 4 chip , jollys spoon carbon scoop, pipercross air filter ,modded 2-2 gen2 collector fitted and twin akras ,pc3 fitted . any idea what dyno result could be , bikes done 6.5k miles from new
john griffin that bike wasn’t chipped or bigger tb’s so I can’t see why you couldn’t get 120 at the wheel, just depends on the map I guess. Give your local dyno garage a call and have a chat with them, they will be able to help for sure
Although didn’t get very high numbers, it was such a big improvement on power delivery. Mid range was just another level. I didn’t think I’d feel it as much, but definitely worth getting done.
Bullshit! You ever actually ridden one? As for weak, try this for size: this put out tge same as or more power at the back wheel and more torque in 2001 than the R1 which claimed 130bhp then but at the crank. Nothing weak about the rsv mille but that’s the sort of comment a schoolboy playing top trumps might throw in. It’s still a bloody fast bike today just not in the same league on track as any modern hyperbike with silly 200bhp motors you cant use on the road to anywhere near the same amount as that glorious mille!
@@ReferenceFidelityComponents I think you may be a bit confused here? I said the bikes motor was weak, as in its numbers aren't what they should be. The power commander was a waste of time also in this case. Trust me here when I say I definitely know these bikes, I've owned four of them and still have a rsv and a Tuono 19 yrs later.
@@ReferenceFidelityComponentsYip, agreed, I also thought it should’ve made closer to 120bhp, engine not 100% right? Still lovely bikes though I have a 53 plate RSV1000R Gen1
Why music? Instead of V twin.
Some great numbers!! looks and sounds great!

Mike Mccartney the open air box came with the bike when I purchased it.

Sorry the background music isn’t to your liking, but you can hear the sound of the V Twin being put through its paces quite clearly
Ive got Mille 2001 .. u camera sound don't do it 50% justice. Feeling and sound together warps the soul 😍🙏🏽
Why stupid music???? Why!
How did the bike feel after mapping

it's power commander 3 or 5 on this bike ?
thony thony I believe it was a 3 none USB unit I had with the bike when I bought it, so though I’d put it on.
Weak engine and the power commander has done nothing... waste of money sadly.
