Loosing your rear in measly 100 km per hour 😳 i have mille too and i never even got close to that, thats crazy, must have really pumped that gas hard on the exit.
What a king to take this bike to the 'Ring. I owned a '99 grey/black/silver Mille as the first owner, sold it after 20 years to move to a more sedate bike. Thing was bullet-proof, never failed me. Still sometimes miss this bike, it was a wonderful machine.
Have got the same 99 model ,have had it since 2000,absolutely bullet proof, just ticked over 90000km and still going strong ,most reliable bike I have ever had and I have had many. Will never sell it,it will go down the hole with me. Can still manage 500km days on it but the old 70yr old body creaks a bit when I get home due to dodgy knees and hips,😂 well worth the pain though.😊
Some great riding there including the save. You lost your rear the corner after I lost my front (which I fortunately saved too!) also on TH-cam. Its nice to see the old Mille still being ridden as they should
Wow! What a tremendous track and great riding my friend! I'm so excited, I just purchased a 2002 RSV Mille R with only 300 miles on it?!?!?! I'm hoping I get to ride it home this weekend. V-twins are so glorious and the Mille was amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Just right tires and right setup after a bit of km pushing every time a bit more. In fact the lap could be much more faster, but I'm only a "sunday rider"!
great video good to see the old mille`s getting a good roasting well done , im on my 7th gen 1 love them so much fantastic bikes and not all about top speed
Richtig geile Runde, hast das kleine Biest super unter Kontrolle! 😲 Freu mich schon auf die Saison die kommenden Freitag beginnt, die Mille wartet schon. 😀
@@Nick-dz4ml I have not owned a 4 cylinder in recent memory, I rode a BMW GS 600(something) and after getting off that an onto the Aprilia it felt ultra smooth and refined, the BMW was like a farm vehicle in comparison.
@@Nick-dz4ml Yea the Rotax in the Aprilia made the BMW feel like a farm vehicle. It's been a few years since I sold it but my recollection was a very smooth engine and immense torque.
Just bought a '99 one. Ill receive it tomorrow after sitting for 4 years. Amazing riding skills pushing it to the limit. What was the bike you were chasing? Gsxr750? Thanks for sharing this!!
Well...as you can see, it was not "raining", there were only a few drops. This, with hot tires, and a good feeling with the asphalt, permitted me to keep pushing. :)
He started accelerating a bit sooner than me from behind the Porsche, that's the reason. The two bikes goes exactly the same (the gixx is equipped with a shorter gear ratio)

Well done, that’s a very stable well sorted road bike, 👍😃
It is! In effect it's quite efficient despite to the low hp amount! ;)
Literally felt sick at 05.55. good save
Greate drive and good shot whith an old bike who is always fantastic ! thanks
That was a GOOD fast lap. Some of the corners on the GP circuit look tough, I was surprised!
Had one of these - brilliant machine - carried SO much corner speed. Nice riding too
Awesome track and a very good handling of a classic bike!
Casso anch’io in pista stesso giorno è stato uno dei miei giorni più belli. Spettacolo, bei ricordi ❤

They say not to chop the throttle in a slide but that’s exactly what this rider did and it is the reason he didn’t crash.
