Yeah i def agree! It needs some locking tuners for sure. The pickups are honestly amazing. Still going to end up with some BKPs tho. I love mine, build quality is leagues past my ibby iron label

What bit of tape do you have over the finish to protect it? What is that called?

I'd rather take the scratches over the tape, the adhesive will mess up the finish over time
This guitar is probably a demo model, which they plan on selling later, so I believe this is just some kind of plastic wrap, to protect it from losing value. I highly doubt they would put glue or adhesive straight on the guitar.

I've been pondering about this guitar...However I don't usually buy entry level guitars...how is the quality and does it stay in tune?
Unlike Misha and his lower priced range Mark actually uses this live and in the studio. He has one version with an evertune bridge that he uses for one particular song but other than that what he plays is the one you and I would get from a store. Take from that what you will but for me it gives a lot of reassurance, unlike Misha's more affordable range which he never uses in a professional environment. As soon as the stores are back open I'll be hoping to get one for myself if it plays as well as I hope it does.
It is an extremely nice guitar, and stays in tune pretty well for me, and I switch from drop f# to drop a lot. The pickups are nice, the frets are rolled well, but the action is set juust too low when u get it, so you’ll need to swap out the nut. Everything else is amazing, and I absolutely love mine, which is the gloss version
@@benbishop7512 I‘m not sure, so it‘s just a wild guess but the „PRS-SE“ Mark Holcomb uses live and in the studios might be a Core PRS in disguise. At least I wouldn‘t be too surprised if it was. From a marketing point of view it would make a whole lot of sense.
@@flowryan5829 Mark actually uses his SE's in the studio and live, just look at his Instagram and youtube vids of him live. The only thing he switches is Knobs for comfort, Locking tuners, and sometimes the nut, other than that nothing. And once his luggage was missing and he went to a store asked to borrow his own guitar from the wall to play live, used it live, returned it to the store like normal until his luggage arrived
