Bryce, yours is the first video I've seen that talks about and shows both the Haldex fluid change AND the front and rear differential oil change. 👍Up until a few days ago I thought the Haldex was the rear differential. I think you're going overboard on your Haldex changes though 20kmi seems excessive but better safe than sorry I guess. The rear diff oil didn't look bad at all a little darker but it looked pretty good unlike engine oil when changed. Thanks for the video.
Glad you liked it! Yeah it’s a bit pre mature, but I’m very very hard on my cars.. I like to think of it as cheap insurance lol. Also, racingline and others sell magnetic drain plugs for everything, engine trans both diffs and haldex, highly recommend!
Informative video thanks! You seen to have changed the bevel box/ transfer case/ angle gear oil on the front. Front diff on the otherside of the pipe, on the driver's side i think
I’m assuming you did this but didn’t film it. On the haldex service, once it’s full you need to start the car and prime the pump. Then, top back up with fluid to the correct level. Also, something I saw on the Audi groups is running basic settings on the haldex pump so the pump can be set to the correct pressure. Your pump filter / screen was incredibly clean though !
Yeah I went over this in the actual diy I made, tried to cut out some BS for this mini walkthrough just wanted to show the folks where things are and what parts are needed.. alot of people don't realize we have diffs that need serviced. They think haldex and trans fluid and that's it 😬
been watching your vids because hopefully i’ll be getting a mk7r next month and i wanna do the front and rear dif service done asap before i get to modding, i’ll dm you when i’m ready to make sure i get everything i need and do it right, thanks for the vid bro!
Hi again When you did the transfer box oil change did you run your car in gear with the wheels off the ground for 2 minutes as the VW instruction tell you to do?
So just to recap, if I may: The front and rear bevel gearboxes (diffs) each took about 1 litre of oil and the Haldex took the entire bottle of 850ml? Did you need extra oil in any of these boxes?
Do there is dsg filter & oil, a Haldex oil and filter (filter u don’t change, just clean), and a rear differential oil that u also change? I never knew About a rear differential?
Bryce Jordan Productions so there’s a front diff AND a rear diff that needs servicing + DSG + Haldex. Wow ok. The front and rear diff services are new to me! Thanks so much for a quick reply. I’m from Sydney Australia, love ur channel. I’ve got a 2016 MK7 R running APR stg2 with 62,000km on the clock. Serviced my Haldex and dsg at 20,000km and plan on doing my Haldex and dsg again right now in a couple days time. Thinking I may aswell now change the oil in my “front and rear diff” now. Can u please tell me the exact genuine part number for the oil that I need for the front and rear diff service? Is it Just a matter of draining the oil in both and refilling both is it? How much do they both take and how much oil do I need for each? Thanks Bryce.
@@BryceJordanProductions oh okay so basically I need just under 6L for engine and how many for the trans and also is it 1L for the haldex? So how many bottles in total do I need

Excellent DIY, simple and on point
Thank you sir!

Now you got me confused imma have to go back and look lol pretty sure I did them properly
in germany you have to change diffoil front every 3 years or all 30000km, DSG-oil every 60000km.
Great vid, thanks for posting. on the do list on my r 👍
Thanks for posting this. I bought differential fluid and fill/drain bolts last week so was looking for some pointers.
🤙🤙

@@BryceJordanProductions ...I was one of those people, you can scratch me off that list now thanks for the video.
Glad I could help man! Stay up on that maintenance!
Do you have the books for Mk7 Golf R's ?

@FFly774 thank you for watching!!
Hi again
When you did the transfer box oil change did you run your car in gear with the wheels off the ground for 2 minutes as the VW instruction tell you to do?
Yes you should do that then top off again
perfect vid, about to do both my diffs! cheers man
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
How dirty were those front and rear diff fluids?
Not as bad as I expected honestly. But not great there was 73k on them lol
How do you like your Haldex tune? Was there a big difference? Who’s tune do you have?
Love it, big difference when pushing the car to it's limits, don't really feel a difference daily driving. I have United Motorsports haldex tune

Correct 1 bottle for each basically. And no extra
Hi how did you get the fill plug back in the transfer box the way you did it?
Thanks for any help
Just gotta feel for it really man, it's tight up there

About a rear differential?
There's a front diff as well.. plus haldex, rear diff, then of course engine trans brakes in terms of fluid services

So let me get this straight so all the oil changes on a Audi s3 8v is the haldex & transmission and engine right nothing else ????
No.. engine, trans, front diff, haldex, rear diff.

Want to order all the parts but want to confirm first
