Looks like it holds up pretty well for a small SUV. Lot better than some bigger SUVs.

Plus it’s easy to drive, requires low maintenance and economical with oil

Daughter just truned in her 2018 Nissan Rouge S. But I'll share one opinion about the car and this crash test. She hit a car in the rear a year ago. She was getting into a turn lane on a 4 lane hwy. She swears she wasn't doing but maybe 15 at most. $8000.00 later, yep, 8K to fix it. The Airbags didn't even go off. The car she hit was a GMC Terrain. Little bit of bumper scuff. First est was $4000, but once they got into the job, it was way more damage. So, IMO, n matter how it looks in this video, this car i crap.

That's going to be a similar story for most new cars. The front "bumper" is mostly fragile plastic and sensors anymore. Those things cost a fortune to replace.

All new cars are made to absorb the force of crash to the car body and not let it transfer to passengers. That's why all modern cars dismantle these even in slow speed crash.

The car is supposed to deform when hit. It's doing its job. If the car got your daughter home alive from her accident, then it sounds like you bought a good car.

Crash tests aren't about damage to the car, they're about survivability in accidents. The entire point of these tests is so that the outside of the car absorbs the impact and deforms, and there's as little intrusion into the passenger compartment as possible. And at the end of the day, let's be real; would you rather have that $8k, or your daughter? I had to junk a car that was totaled after being rear-ended by a drunk driver doing 50 mph at a stop sign. But, both I, and my baby daughter who was in the back seat, made it out of the crash alive. She wasn't even injured, though I had pretty bad whiplash.
