You've certainly been a really busy lady in the sewing room. I made a Charlie dress in a viscose challis called Tokyo Nightlife from Lady McElroy and it is the most luscious dress to wear. I also love the Pattern Emporium patterns - I wore my Take the Chance Maxi today and was complimented on it - it seems to get alot of comments. I think your collection of 2022 makes are inspiring. @@thedahliasewciety I actually found out today from a Korean lady that the "writing" on that print I mentioned is Korean, Cheese and Japanese which I thought was interesting. Thought I'd share that with you as something interesting.
Hello Kristen, what a collection of beautiful makes. I have to say that I am one of those who you have inspired to dust off my sewing machine and find my sew-jo again. Thank you so much for that. Sewing has most definitely helped me through some challenging times over the last couple of years.
Out of my makes in 2022, I have 3 favourite garments that I have absolutely loved making and wearing this year.
Fringe Dress and Top by Chalk and Notch, Lisa Dress by Tessuti and Ora Pinafore Dress by Soften Studios. I have worn these makes so many times.....just love them.
So enjoy your platform and content.....and always look forward to your volgs.

happy new year Kristen. glue the lace on? what a great idea for Christmas day, that made me smile from ear to ear and then the I'm to lazy to trace the patterns lol you are a girl after my own heart. i love all of your makes and, in fact, went back to watch this episode twice, because i did not have the time to finish it yesterday. If you did not want to permanently attach the lace again you could use black hook and eyes and stitch the eyes to the bottom of the garment and the hooks to the lace and just hook it on when you wanted that look. I hope you have a great year thanks for the content. Mayzie PS i have 4 dress patterns that i have brought because i saw them on your channel, all still waiting to be made up.

My favourite is the pink Nova coat. I have to have it on My make 9 as I have had it cut out since Winter. But I also love your Wanda in the linen/silk. I have Some similar coming from my sewwrapped prize, without any idea what to make, so it will be a puff sleeve top of some sort. Love your round up.

The fabrics are gorgeous!! I've been away from the channel for quite a while, doing some consulting work that took a huge amount of time. That is done for now, so hopefully I will be able to watch your videos once again! All of the makes were so pretty and flowy which is what I like. The pink short jacket/coat I think was my favorite. It looked so nice on you. I also liked alot of the dresses that had the big red flower prints and the little bird pattern dress. You were so busy this year and it sounds like the business side is going well for you too. Congratulations on being able to accomplish all of this! It's from the BBC and they each go for about 15 minutes. A really good series I've found. Might be of some interest to you? Happy New Year xx

Happy New Year Kristen. So many lovely makes, and so much inspiration, that it's hard to pick out favourites. Your two coats stand out in my mind, and that pattern-matched dress.
I like the idea of your new series. I made the Charlie Caftan. Loved the pattern overall but had some issues with that central front placket, possibly due to material choice: I find that my delicate but relatively heavy viscose pulls down at the front because of all the weight in that placket so I keep having to hoick it up. Am wondering if it would be less of an issues in a lightweight linen or cotton lawn.

I loved the Closet Core Charlie Lagrange from that gorgeous blue fabric with those vibrant red flowers, and also the robe (I think, or was it a wrap dress?) With the gorgeous very large print on it. I love large prints, but am never sure of what to do with them. (Of course I will look back and see what pattern you used but TH-cam doesn't let me stop writing and check back on the video.)
