Honda EU2000i Inverter Generator Overview

- Going of the basics and demonstrating the operation of a Honda EU 2000i generator. Is ridiculously quiet, and as an inverter can run at less than full throttle and still produce 120 volt.
Saved me last week in a two-day power outage. Ordered a setup off Ebay that lets it tap gas from a 5-gal separate tank - nice! $75 Add Sta-Bil also!

All’s I want to do is run my refrigerator and some lights. Does this generator supply enough power for this?

Have a small travel trailer 13,500 BTU A/C. Many owners say the 2000 is going to support that. From your video, I'm suspicious. Can I harm the generator by trying to power the A/C? I may rent one from Home Depot to see if the 2000 has enough power for the trailer (and A/C) but don't want to damage the equipment.
I don't think it'll harm it, but wont really do all that well powering it either. The most common setup I've seen for RV use is running the EU2000 along with a companion EU2000 wired together with it. You still get the portability, and have some head room to run other things in addition to the A/C.

Google 'clear gas' stations. They're typically near marinas, etc.

You lost me at overheat at 30 minutes
Generator ratings are for max load, but cannot sustain that load indefinitely. The generator can put out 2000 watts, but only for 30 minutes, the most it can produce constantly is 1600 watts. All generators are this way, something to look for when buying one.

Not sure why they do this, but all generators are this way. They have one rating that can be sustained for long periods, but the max rating is only sustainable for a brief time, then it overheats the machine.
It was a joke. it's 1600 full power and a 10 sec burst @ 2000w for start up of a motor.
I am not a big fan of swearing since it shows a person has a limited vocabulary. However in this case, his swearing was both entertaining and helped to emphasize the points he was making.
