@@barryfinkle1755 bro, it's 100% true. I have been following Radiohead my whole life, and there are few things about them that I don't know. This is 100% true. My Iron Lung was recorded in the studio for the My Iron Lung EP. When they were making the bends, they didn't like the recorded version of it and used the live track from the Astoria as the track for the album and just re-recorded the vocals. Literally look up any reference about that song and you'll see it's exactly like this. In fact, this is directly from Wikipedia: "Radiohead recorded versions of "My Iron Lung" at RAK, but were not satisfied with the results. Instead, they used a performance recorded in May 1994 at the London Astoria, with Yorke's vocals replaced and the audience removed.[16] Leckie said: "Considering it was recorded in the back of a truck outside the hall - not the best sound to get something from - we did quite well."[17] The Astoria performance was included in the video Live at the Astoria, released in March 1995.[18]"
The day Kid A came out me and my mate both took the day off school and sat listening to it over and over again. We were very suspicious at first but by the end of the day we were obsessed. The general reaction was one of puzzlement which over the course of a couple of years grew into a universal acclaim and love. You'll definitely love In Rainbows. There's a couple of great tunes on Pablo Honey, but its like a very early alpha version of Radiohead.

Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead formed an offshoot band with drummer Tom Skinner in 2018, and have put out three albums: one in 2022 and two in 2024. A lot of people compare them to Radiohead because Thom and Johnny are the creative leads of both bands. If you like Radiohead, you’ll most likely love The Smile

As for The Bends, I consider Street Spirit to be one of the greatest songs they’ve ever made. My wife has “Immerse your soul in love” tattooed on her 😂. In fact, Thom Yorke says he almost always performs this song towards the end of concerts because it is so dark and literally saps the strength out of him. Kid A was a positive shock for me - loved it straight away as an already established fan after OK Computer. All my other music pals went the other way though, lost interest. They only came back after In Rainbows, years later...they got there in the end though. But I kept the faith throughout - f***ing love this band. Do not finish at 'In Rainbows' though - 'King Of Limbs' and 'Moon Shaped Pool' are excellent records.
After the success of Creep, Radiohead started to despise the song. They wrote Iron Lung about Creep. Just was written as a competition. Thom and Johnny wanted to see how many different chords they could put into a single song.
I got to hear them in order as they came out from the beginning. Pablo Honey is worth listening to for sure, don't listen to the haters. :) Even better if you can, check Live at Astoria (early concert video), its 5 stars.

Love to hear that. With Peggy’s digital and hyper produced style in mind, I’ll throw out two other smaller branches that are just as musically astounding in just how refunding the production is. Brakence and Quadeca. A really interest blend of acoustic, electronic, hip hop, and every song is just as strangely exciting and sonically developed as the last.
Pablo Honey is a good album in and of itself, its just compared to the remainder of their discography its an outlier. It still has some fantastic tracks on it that aren't titled Creep.
I had a listening party for Kid A. Nobody said a word and everyones life was changed. Except for my friend Yasha who kept giggling. Awesome memories.

There are so many wonderful tracks on this album. Street Spirit is one of my top 10 Radiohead songs. Thom's vocals just take over my brain.
