I commend you my man for not using the truck as thumbnail for views, you showed true compassion and respect. You’re are lucky enough to be there for fun- it’s day to day life for the locals.
Stay strong and be kind to yourself
Mitch, you're more than a bike content creator obsessed with riding steep hills, you're a video essayist--and a damn good one at that. The production value, narration, and even self-awareness you've demonstrated is insane. I'm genuinely looking forward to your next video.
Thanks dude, I really appreciate that 🙏
R.I.P to the truck driver. I hope you have healed from that.
Thoughts to the truck driver (I think you did a great job narrating and reflecting on this tragedy). That's such a harrowing experience. I'd be absolutely terrified getting passed on those turns.
You deserve more subs. Top notch story telling
Chelo is my brother. So proud of him! ❤️🇧🇴
Marcelo Rivera Vera ✨👏
Chelo is the best 🙌
@MitchBoyer is correct 💯😎 Celo is a legend...and the best!
I've never seen this channel before but when this popped up on my feed I knew I'd enjoy it!
Same here😊
Same today
24:02 Thank you for including both metric and imperial units !
🫡
Amazing the biggest risk for crashes seems to be those narrow stretches and big falls but that truck seemed to crash in a very unlikely place
I feel very lucky to have found your channel when I was trying to find out what is the best paper for printing and fast forward to now seeing you bike up death road.
So so so good! Might be your best one yet!! Also, new goal: get Chelo that bike! 💜
Thank you for cheering me on through the finish line ❤️
Always ❤
I watch pretty much every TH-cam video at 2x. When this posted, I carved out enough time to enough it at 1x. Great video, awesome trip, and can't wait for more. Great work, Mitch!
Thanks Matt!
Brilliant video. Climbing the Alps at 4000m at top of Barre des Ecrins was my limit physically and mentally very overwhelming. My very fit friend suffered at 3200m getting delirious and needing help. Altitude is tough and very unpredictable. Well done!
Mitch! Whata. Way to tell this story. Truly remarkable! Amazing narrative. Respectful, journalistic, beautiful. Raw. We are proud!
Thanks Carol!
Hi Mitch, What an amazing video.. ! to be honest I was a little disappointed initially when I just saw the one video of Bolivia downhill and was wondering why is there no video on Death Road?.. and i guess it was worth the wait. The accident bit was very scary and must have been really disturbing to witness it. Sending you lots of good wishes and positivity. Kudos to you and the entire group for a monstrous effort! Keep the great content coming.. btw, the BMC looks dapper.. Wish we had a TPC option in India.
This was epic, Mitch! Kudos to the whole group for making it up there. Also well done on respecting the complicated and dangerous history of the road.
Great video Mitchi! Usually, I don't watch youtube video more than twice, but this was exceptional and I had to watch 3 times. great journalism!
Wow, that's awesome, thanks!
Fantastic piece of content, feels like a TV level quality of production with a charismatic host. Bravo Mitch!
This was nothing short of amazing. Such a good production Mitch 💪
Thanks bro! Really appreciate that coming from you 🙏
I did a three day trek in Las Yungas jungle area here with a guide on the old Inca trail and only saw a handful of native people the whole trip. We returned to LA Paz on the Death Road in a combi van. I fell asleep on the ride and woke up to a waterfall going over the van and down the vertical hillside about six inches away. Wild place.
Watching your video was the best thing this Monday! Thank you for the damn good content, story telling, humor and great shots of the scenery! Keep it coming @Mitch Boyer
Great video. Congrats and thanks for visiting La Paz! I am embarrassed to say I never did this ride uphill. It is on my bucket list. I was born in La Paz and used to race with Chelo back in the day. I live now in a part of Texas where everything is flat as a pancake.
Thanks dude! La Paz was incredible. And Bolivia is beautiful, hopefully I can go back someday.
Savage ! Man I enjoyed that video! Was afraid a place like this and experience would be short video missing so much. It was perfect length for that journey and got to enjoy every part of it with no questions left unanswered. Well done sir.
Loving the story telling and narratives... like I said before, living the dream Mitch!
Amazing job, Love it and can't wait to watch more and see more.
What a great video !!
Thx for listening to the few or the couple of us who suggested you should use bigger cogs.
Amazing, stunning, motivating, beautifully filmed and put together. Wow. Hands down your best video yet, or should I say your best film yet? As calling this masterpiece just 'youtube video' would be an insult.
Wow, thank you!
epic! thanks for sharing this journey with us mitch ❤
Hi Charlie! Great to meet you today! Kudos on the amazing ride!
Respect. I came across your San Fran video on my news feed this morning. I didn't ride today, but I've been to NZ, AUS, and Pittsburgh in just one day. These vids are really good!
Kudos to you, Mitch, both for the ride and the engaging video. i can empathize with the altitude "sickness" effects. I remember riding Haleakala and getting a headache and those fluorescent sparkles in my vision above 3000m.
ty for this video! mad, mad props!
Great achievement Mitch that looks one hell of a climb.
I found the audio seemed out to me, your voice was a bit drowned out by the music.
Appreciate it dude! I'll work on my sound mixing :)
Looks incredible. I would want to slerp and ride down the next day. Carefully! 😊
Epic ride and beautiful video. Congrats, man! subscribed.
That was awesome! Your video's are next level.
Best video to date! Glad to have waited until it was finished 🎉🎉 epic ride
Thanks Nolan! 🙏
Now... this riding up 15,000 feet is an adventure. I would like to joun them but I have to walk the dog.
Love this channel.
Great! Loved it all
Nice video! Just have fun riding and get home safely
Great ride, thanks for sharing the journey
What a moving video, the climb, people...
Thanks for sharing the complete experience, including the sobering aspects.
Have cycled at that sort of altitude in the Tibetan/Nepalese Himalaya, but interested in this ride too.
Thanks for sharing ,incredible adventure 🚴🏽♂️💨💨
EPIC!! What legends! Thanks for sharing the experience. THIS is the power of the interweb….and some clever writing.
The onliest thing wrong with this scenario is that an untenable precedence has been established. Where does one go from riding the World’s Deadliest Road?!! You’ve got a wonderful talent for communicating….but don’t kill yourself for the sake of building an intriguing narrative. “This is TH-cam by the way”🤣. (I’ll keep clicking the like button for the narrative!). Nice work!
You've outdone yourself with this one, Mitch.
Chapeau to your self and your mega team mates Bravo lads 🤙🍻
Hey man, if you need to talk let me know. I’ve been a full firefighter/ paramedic for the past 10 years and I’ve seen my fair share of bad calls. I’ve had my own battles and my goal is to help others
Amazing! Thank you for sharing ❤
Amazing. Thank you.
You've got a real talent for this Mitch! I can't wait for your bike packing/mtb arch! ;)
Haha, thanks! We'll see what the future holds!
Wow, great one, Mitch. Semitruck load of cudos to you and all yor new friends 👍
Just found this channel and love it already!
Mitch dude im so sorry. Love you man, but im proud of you for doing all you could for that driver.
I had to stop @:38 to say I already love this. 🤘❤️🤘
Thanks for sharing this. Tough bit.
What an incredible and inspiring video. Dang.
Inspiring content.
Thx 👍💪
Amazing vid Mitch
Beautiful! Thanks!
A ride of your life. Amazing! 🎉👍👏
Amazing ride , Epics views , Bravo 💪👍
Every video is better than the previous. Dude, I’m so jealous of this ride. Incredible. I still owe you how to change a tire without a lever!!!! I am watching this one over and over again! Your wife must have hit you like ten times as she watched what you put yourself through. Haha.
Thanks, Zane! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience--and yeah, Val was not too happy when she saw the footage for the first time 😂😅
MAAP, represent! That’s my best mate’s brand.
Killer gear.
Great storytelling 🙌🏿
Cool video... will you do a feature on Isla del Sol?... I'd love to see more footage on that... I've ridden there from La Paz, and rode around the island on an MTB, including to the top of its highest hill, among other very steep bits of trail to be found there...
Awesome video! Riding in the clouds must have been a trip
It’s was definitely a top ten all time experience 🤯
Clicked on the video expecting typical video, but this was a very well narrated video with great information regarding the history of this place.
Thanks for watching!
You're inspiring me to link Elysian park to Griffith park for that more epic road ride. Great video!
Haha do it!
u are an inspiration for me ...thanks for ur videos
Stunning view great ridee.
Amazing video!
Superb viewing! Thanks Mitch
I love John on this video
Well done! Crazy!
I love this. thanks for sharing
A hardcore ride by some hardcore blokes. Respect!
Amazing footage.
The part where you deliberately ride along the edge got me a little nervous. I don't even have a fear of heights.
Loved the video
I thing i learned early on when i started cycling: always take a light when doing longer rides. One never knows what might happen and the worst thing to happen is to be stranded in the dark with no light.
If the truck driver was wearing the seatbelt, probably nothing would have happened to him.
Don't feel bad about that, you were just a person sharing the same road.
What you can do is to remind people how important it is to always wear the seatbelt, maybe you'll save a life one day.
There's tons of crazy death roads in California. We were amazed at the amount of steep, windy, cliffy roads in your state. What a road bike destination, as good or better than the south of france
The Santa Monica Mountains are a hidden gem for those outside of Southern California. World class riding just outside LA. I feel like the only one who really talks about it is Phil Gaimon. A little secret for those who know 🤫
@@MitchBoyer go check out the Nociamento climb at kirk creek, limekiln state park.its killer.
Yo man send chèlo one of those bikes. Make the man's year come on. You got the money
Thanks mitch. Yall should crowd fund him a new bike. 1, 2, 5, and 10 $ donations. It would be paid for lickety split.
amazing story!
Beautiful video and great story! Love it! One minor suggestion: the commentary volume is a bit smaller comparing to the background music, so can be hard to hear at times..
Appreciate the feedback 🙏 any specific points that were worse than others? I wanna make sure I fix it for future videos. Thanks for watching!
Everyone should ride high altitude at least once to understand that friend who has anemia and stop thinking they're bad :D
Well done!
ok, fine Mitch....I'll do my procrastinated climbing day today...
Amazing!
This video is so good that I’m starting to feel special that I’ve been watching you since the Giant Revolt days. Hmm you you climb Bolivias death road and I make it about me … yikes. Kidding aside, you deserve every accolade this video receives and more.
Thanks Corey, you're definitely an OG!
Should have ridden up White Mountain Road in Owen's Valley for some training.
great video
Nice work
that power at such thin oxigen levels up there, that's massive
You should try riding at karakoam death road. 5 times dangerous than this, lot longer and without any connection on celular phone
Vettel's been doing well since retirement
Mitch… bro… bravo, but you’re crazy…. I have a bucket list of places to ride, but that road isn’t one of them… lol… 🍻
😂 thanks dude!
@@MitchBoyer When you got near the edge, I was like “Brooooooo”… 😂😂😂🍻
@@CycoWarriorx 😂😂
awesome view 👌🙂
You beat Vegan to the punch on video release. Wise play
Haha we went back in May, I just procrastinated on the edit for a long time. 😅
Awesome
Mitch, what could one expect to spend on such an awesome trip?
PJAMM hosts a tour now. I’m not sure on the prices but it might be on their site
