Secret Facility - Dystopian Dark Ambient Journey - Mysterious Alien Music

  • A deep and hypnotic composition in which, as usual, I tried to convey the atmosphere of a mysterious dystopian world, using a multi-layered soundscape and a wide variety of gloomy textures.
A few words from the author: I dedicated this channel to the dark and dystopian side of ambient music. Here you will find such moods of ambient music as cinematic ambient music, dark ambient music, meditative ambient music, cyberpunk ambient music, sci-fi ambient music, futuristic ambient music. Most often in my compositions I use rain sounds, hypontic drones, deep soundscapes, and various synthesized sound effects. You can use my music as ambient music for sleep, ambient music for meditation, ambient music for reading, ambient music for studying and ambient music for work.

"There isn't much reason to come outside anymore, what with how the world is...make no mistake, the grass still grows and the trees still have leaves, but the creatures that now roam outside...none of them want us to live. Whenever I do though, as I sometimes need breaks while trying to heal this now savage world of ours, I wonder as I look at the forest and the facility we work in, if we truly are healing our world...or if we're just in its way."

Ever since they genetically engineered the various chimeras and unleashed them from the deep underground facilities, the outside is a constant risk. The wilds have returned. The forests are vaster, silent and immeasurable now.
Come...it's getting late, we should return to the secure quadrant on level 4....soon the upright canids will be active come nightfall and we need to seal all doors on levels 1 - 3....we cannot risk another breach!

We don't know what lies outside of this compound -- but we also have no desire to find out. No one has left or arrived in decades. We have enough food, purified water, medicine, fuel, and weapons, to remain here indefinitely. This place is both fortified, and remote. From what can be seen immediately surrounding us, there are birds, but few to no land creatures. On occasion, we scan radio frequencies and radar...but there's always nothing. The communications rooms lay largely dark and vacant. Our lives here are quiet, reflective -- peaceful, but without purpose. There is sunrise, sunset...and existence. A confined world of safety shared by a handful of living souls. A kind of vapid sanctuary.

Maybe a safe place for discussion. Have you ever thought about places still within existance such as this? Thier has to be some! And I dought they would be over run with militant or large group mindsets as the dark nature of the concreate appearance and history would already be to powerful for a healthy sustained environment with that type mind! If you had a small group of scientists with an artistic mind and a positive fenced off outside network for inspired idea's, you might have a good way to reuse junk buildings from the past? Thiers probably alot of these places within existance, if history serves correct? And then it could be a seperate space, althought didn't seem like they had the thought process for that back then? No thanks dark, really I wonder about the science! Was nice to see the old world war gun turret turned into an art museum on the hill side in Vancouver!

A random fragment of a script I just wrote:
` `It's been 6 years, 6 years since it happened, the fog lingers outside forever, plant life and fungi still grow outside despite a few of them having... Mutations, the air remains rather breathable but the fog, it's there forever now. The things out there own this world now, we're simply tenants who haven't paid their rent yet, and our rent is our lives. Those things dont want us here, they've claimed the world now. All we can do now is to try atleast a little bit to regain small bits of it, we send out teams of three every three days, some come back, some come back with less people, some never even do. We give them the stuff we luckily managed to gather, regular operator kits, gas masks, helmets, plate carriers, limb armor for the, "bitey" ones.
Rifles, mostly MK-18s, sometimes ones with a bit more "umpf", AR-10s, but we can only give them so much equipment, we can't sacrifice much of the more "useful" equipment. We do give them devices, a sort of, "reality anchor" we cooked up in the labs we have scattered around the country, these help stabilize the "warpers" a little to give the teams an edge in killing them, for most of the time the most action the majority of us gets are attacks done by those things on the base, the angled slope on the concrete walls prevent them from climbing, barbed wire and electric fences help a bit too.
Being a guard outside the perimeter is always so eerie, just walking around the fences, maybe a few cliks outside the perimeter, a few meters within, whatever the commander gives us. When I stare at the fog and thick forest I feel like something's staring at me back. Attacks when you're a perimeter guard are a lot more intense than being the ones sitting uptop the base, atleast uptop you wont have to worry about getting killed.
Sometimes I do get sent outside, scurry the local towns, sometimes even cities for food, the gun stores and old military blockades for ammo. They're always everywhere, and after a week long expedition you usually come home dry of ammo because of how, unpredictable, the nature is outside, even the deer, wolves, house pets have turned into "them"...
I only encountered the, "warpers" as the docs call them, a few times, it seems like most of your rounds dont even hit them, it's like they're ghosts... They're so quick it's only a blink of an eye before a squad member dies, luckily we've been able to take them down for now, at costs of course... I don't know how long we can still keep up this empty struggle to live when the government has been unheard for since 4 years ago, it's only us now I guess, Outpost - 001, and a few others a few kilometers away. God help us, if he's even still able to... ´ ´

The structure and it's immediate surroundings make no sense; and I love it. I'd like to camp outside to see who comes and goes.

I work in a government office. It's not like this.
Well, _our_ Division isn't, anyway, but we travel a lot. Our IT group, on the other hand...
Seriously, going to visit IT has always seemed a little eerie to me, and not because they're weird. Well, not _just_ because of that. I'm pretty good with weird as a rule - I deal with small business owners who don't always get to talk to other people enough to be healthy, so weird is par for the course - but our IT people are next-level weird in subtle ways.
They're on the seventh floor of our building, so they should get plenty of natural light, but it's always pretty dark there whenever I stop in on business because they keep the overhead lights off for some reason, and use desk lights instead. Visiting someone is like finding a cabin in a dark forest lit by a small lamp: cozy enough, but it makes the darkness outside all the more oppressive.
Their cubes are set up with entryways instead of just openings, so you can't tell who's there that day just by passing by. If you're looking for someone specific, _their own coworkers_ often don't know who's in the office on any given day without going in to check.
A bunch of the cubes are given over to electronics boneyards, with boxes of random cables and computer parts that haven't been sent off for recycling or secure destruction yet. Since people trade cubes every so often as staff come and go, some of these storage areas still have people's nameplates on the outside wall of the cube.
...I _swear_ I was just trying to make a joke at first, but looking at things all together, now I'm going to be thinking of this gently creepy ambience the next time I need to get a password unlocked.

I wouldn't mind living in a world that is that grave.
There is something comforting about living in a world that transcends us.
This architecture reminds us behind each soul Gods have their plans.
Now it's just us witnessing our petitess, waiting for our destiny to unfold.
All we can do is care for ourselves, and vigil the world as it turns to wet cold metal.

That is a sludge in what was a forest, mixed, like concrete truth above sensitivity as spritely evil they'd say concern.
Don't become astoundingly depressed for any reason as unconcerned, too.

Like hell Obama ever laughed along with Africans like an article mentioning exchange students learning how Americans buy houseplants, when as the rumor goes, purgatory let him in the late 1980's, a decade after the outrageous to God as children's serious development, "green slime" was a popular industrially produced toy. Noone can imagine what a New England woman and her right way balanced husband cancels literally in ways using more than out of reach unlimited but as her sense existences mislabeled outside Harvard it's true as purgatory.
