Great video Peter! Love the black paint gear as well! Very tempting hehe. I have a beautiful lens that would suit nicely to your black paint bodies 😍 haha! Ive dm you on instagram in case your interested! More portrait works please!
I suspect the battery base is an alloy painted or plastic. The reflections are a little more shiny than the gloss on the camera body. The gloss on the M11 camera body is more matt (less mirror like) compared to the M10/R.
The full set! Indeed, pretty fancy! I'd go black paint, but only if it's over brass (I think the BP Nocti 1.2 is AL). And yes, I love a brassed up film camera (say MP), but not keen on a digi with patina. Now, BP/brass lenses... oh yeah!
I do own the original m11+noctilux set and also ordered the new set. But I'm thinking about selling it and get an m11-d instead. The fact that the m11 bp is not the p version and the lens is not brass really turned me down. The d on the other hand, has a dedicated simplified top plate and I quite like the iso dial on the back design. I really wish Leica would have made the m11 bp limited edition and a p version like the m10-r, also make the lens brass instead of aluminum so we can see those beautiful patina once well used.
It's good to have a choice. More reason to buy or sell. I'll be selling my old M11 and Noctilux. Keep the new glossy versions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
That’s the set up to get. Amazing combination peter well done
You're right - it's a great combination for sure.
finally sold my M10 and went for the M11 BP, it's beautiful!
Nice
Man that hot shoe cover would drive me nuts
I'm sure there is an after market gloss black paint hot shoe cover somewhere. Anyone know?

Thanks. More portraits are in the pipeline. Always interest to review other peoples recommended lens (loan and return after review).
Congrats with the new setup, what material is the gloss black battery cover?

Difficult decision. I've decided to keep both
