Thank you Tiffany, your instructions are the clearest and easiest to follow of all the tutorials As a newby to crocheting I appreciate how clearly you demonstrate your patterns I am inspired to make this lovely blanket
I’ve just ordered the wool to do this blanket. I’ve been searching for weeks for the right pattern and this is perfect. As a beginner I also love your channel as you explain everything so well and I find it easy to convert to uk terms, thank you 🙏🏻 😘🇬🇧 x
How exciting Barbs! I'm so excited you found this pattern and are getting yarn to make it! I'm so glad that you find my videos easy to follow and convert to UK Terms. Can't wait for you to get started!!
I really enjoy watching your tutorials. It makes me laugh how many times you say perfect. I cannot imagine anyone wanting that big of a tassel on anything. It just seems like it would be a nuisance. I am going to try the pattern but I’m definitely not going to make those big tassels. Thank you.
I love your tutorials, your so sweet. Your slow & easy to understand. I’m very new and watched others who don’t explain if they have chained and or skipped any stitches. So a job well done and much appreciated from a newbie. Thanks so much :)
Yes, Tiffany, I have sent some of your TH-cam videos to friends of mine who have shown an interest. I do not think I could have gotten into crocheting without learning from you. I needed to see and understand. You have a talent when I comes to training beginners! Thank you!
@@CrochetWithTiffany Hi Tiffany, I live in the Netherlands and the yarn you use is not available here. I bought another type, same color, but I am having trouble to do the first row after the chain. Hi Tiffany, my name is Bob, and my grandmother used to knit and crochet while we watched football on Sundays. Eventually, I got interested, and she taught me the basics. That was many years ago, and I'm now in a nursing home because of a chronic degenerative bone disease, and with so much time on my hands, I decided I'd like to crochet again. This is the first project I'm going to try, and I'm planning on using a beautiful, purple, 80/20% merino/synthetic blend. Instead of the tassles, which I know will just get pulled off sooner rather than later, I thought I would do a substantial border in a complementary color, a rich blue/grean teal. I'd like the border to be about 1.5 to 3 inches wide and with a simple stitch that will give me a flat border. Any suggestions as to stitches, and how do I estimate the amount of yarn I will need?

New to your channel. Good tutorial, especially your camera work. I am glad you demonstrated the stitchwork with the lighter colored yarn. Had trouble appreciating the stitchwork in the finished blanket due to the dark color. Will definitely give this a try for a baby blanket (especially good as it doesn't have holes). Thank you:)
I love these patterns without holes/large spaces in the blanket! I didn’t realize for the longest time that there were so many different ways to crochet! I love this blanket!!
The blanket is beautiful and seems easy to make. However, making tassels does not look like fun. 🤪 i might make the blanket without the tassels. Thank you for an excellent tutorial for us beginners. 😀👍🏻💜. Oh, but wait! I saw the pic with the cream blanket and different colored tassels - so pretty! Might try the tassels after all. 😂
Hi Lynzey! I'm so excited for you to make this blanket! I actually re-made a tassel video with a much easy way of making tassels if you wanted to check it out. Might make it a lot easier! 😊🧡🧶 studio.th-cam.com/users/videoiBVSPI89cyw/edit
Thanks Tiffany, for sharing this pattern!! Every video you make is outstanding & you always make the patterns easy to understand!! I am so excited to try this one!! Thx again!! 💗
I’ve bought 6 skiens of gold & 6 skiens of black. I bought Loops & Threads impeccable with 285 yards. I usually take the #4 gold & #4 black and mix them to gather to make a blanket. What else can I do to use both colors to make him a baseball blanket. I want to make it big enough that he can use for a long time but not to heavy
Hi Patty! I love this question! Making a blanket for your grandson can be extremely simple. They don’t generally care what stitch you used or how complicated the pattern was, they just care that the blanket was the right colors. To keep the blanket on the light side I would keep it a simple Double Crochet stitch for the whole blanket. If you wanted to bump it up a little do a Double Crochet Back Loop Only Stitch. But keep it simple. What you want to do is grab a piece of paper and a pencil. If you have colored pencils or crayons in black and gold that would be awesome but not necessary. Then I want you to draw a rectangle representing the blanket, and start coloring different possible patterns you could make with the black and gold colors. Bold stripes, thin stripes, half and half, different size stripe pattern. Play around until you find the pattern you like the best and then go for it. Totally beats just starting the project and then having to take it apart. Have fun! So excited for you!
I found this video a few months ago and after finishing the other planned projects am starting on this one. How did you finish so that it would be flat at the top? It looks like once you start the pattern the top becomes wavy. Did you add a row of single crochet at the end or do something else? It is lovely. Thank you so much for sharing!
Ok cool. I don’t think the pattern really identifies how to end the blanket. It’s really your choice if you want to end with a row of single crochet or just end with a row of the pattern. 😊❤️🧶
Another question. Instead of the tassels I would like to do a boarder. Any suggestions of how and direct me a tutorial??? I'm working the pattern right now and I love how easy its coming along. Big thank you again
Actually I was thinking the same thing! That I would love to see this blanket with a border. Haha I am still in the process of finishing up this blanket myself but as soon as I am done I will go ahead and make a tutorial for a border on it for you! 😉😊 Thanks so much for asking!
Hi Jayne! I do believe that the pattern will show up with a thicker yarn as long as the yarn is smooth and not textured. Give it a go and let me know how it turns out! 😊🧡🧶
@@jaynedudley6653 With a thicker yarn, you might have to make a smaller chain. I have had to do that (or vice versa) in other patterns that I have made. Just a thought
Hi Tiffany, I really love your teaching style and choice of content tutorials. I look forward to all of your episodes. I think this blanket would be a great choice for my older brother. He's due for a new afghan gift next spring. I know I have plenty of time to check out yarn, but I am home bound and can't run out to the stores. Because you know yarn types, I hope I could ask for some thoughts or suggestions on using a nice #4 'Heather' yarn solid (that offers a bit of sheen and color depth.). My own opinion is that would be a lovely option for this easy repeat, and a little more eye appealing to him. I read in comments below that you might create a unique border for this blanket instead of tassels, so I will ask as well. But most important and no rush to respond, any thoughts on a couple of yarn brand heather types that would give me that extra something at the finish line? many thanks!!
Hi Priscilla! I really think you will like the Caron Simply Soft brand if you are looking for a size 4 AND a yarn with a nice sheen. I did actually make a border to go around this blanket if you would like to check it out. th-cam.com/video/hh--kBeJaoI/w-d-xo.html
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thank you Tiffany for checking right back to me. I appreciate the yarn and border suggestion (sorry I had overlooked it) and will keep them in mind as I do my search. (also enjoyed viewing your chat video and new studio set up today.)
This is such a beautiful and easy pattern. I have been searching for a baby blanket pattern and would like to use this pattern. Are there guides to modify a full-size to a baby blanket. I have just subscribed and look forward to “working with you” on future projects.
Hi L Osegueda! Welcome to my channel! I am so glad you found me. Yes, you can adjust the size of this blanket. I figured out that the multiple chain count requirement is 5 +1. Good luck on your next blanket project! Have fun! 😊🧶🧡
Hi Dashee211! Wow! I am excited for you to make this blanket in the Queen Size. The Average dimensions for a Queen Size Blanket are 90 inches wide by 90 inches long. The Approximate Foundation Row for this blanket to be turned into a Queen Size is 315 chains. Phew! Have fun making this blanket. It should be a nice relaxing project. 😊🧶🧡

Just found you on TH-cam... Really love your style of your videos... Just a quick question... How well will the tassels was up... Is there anyway of strengthening the tassels... I always worry with pompoms too so I tend to avoid making them for this reason... Will be checking out your other videos for more inspiration...💗💗💗
Hi Sammie! I ended up finding a better way to make tassels and I made a video tutorial about it 😄. It’s totally up to you if you would like to keep the tassels or not use them. I’ve heard either way (tassels/no tassels) look nice. 😊❤️🧶
I absolutely love your channel! I love watching you and learning from you. I have a quick question. I am having a difficult time not pulling on my work. I tend to pull up and to the right. I have tried to relax over and over and I always seem to still pull up and to the right. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can alleviate this issue? My finished projects are always lop sided. Help....Thank you in advance.

Hi Rebecca! Haha I hear ya with the tassels. I did make a tutorial putting the Leaf Stitch Border around this blanket if you would like to check it out. Really you could use any border on this blanket and it will look great. You can take a peak at all the blanket border tutorials I have or find another one you like even better! Best of luck! 😊❤️🧶
Good morning, I'm new to your channel and while watching your tutorial it reminded me of a video tutorial that I watched yesterday. The vid was teaching the (modified back-loop double crochet) and I'm wondering if it may alter this pattern or reinforce it. So, basically instead of using the back loop only, you would add the horizontal back stitch or bar to the BLDC, as well. So go into the back loop and the back stitch and proceed to finish DC as usual. I hope this helps.
Hi Deborah55! Interesting thought! I think that would be cool to try. Yes it would change the way the blanket looked but it doesn't sound like it would alter any stitch count so go for it. If you do try it let me know how it turns out. 😊🧶💖
I’m just completing your beautiful blanket. I would like to do a trim/border around it instead of tassels. Can you recommend a border ? Thank you for a great tutorial.
Hi Deborah! I am so excited you made this blanket! I agree with you. I like the border idea more than tassels. I did actually make a border around this blanket in a tutorial. Here is the tutorial blanket border that I did : th-cam.com/video/hh--kBeJaoI/w-d-xo.html But feel free to check out my Blanket Border Playlist which holds all of my Blanket Border Tutorials if you would like to try out a different border for your blanket: th-cam.com/play/PL6HRmAfbRXTVC_Bn1stvl_8WpRVZajNic.html

I have some crushed velvet wool from Aldi so I might try this pattern what do you think if you don't mind me asking for your opinion? I am new to your channel love from the Uk Angel Blessings
Hmm, to be honest I’m not sure how this pattern would look with crushed velvet wool yarn. It could either be really pretty or the velvet texture could hide the details of the stitch. Try it out! Then let me know how it turned out. I’m super curious now 😄❤️🧶
Tiffany I have a question . . . Do you think this blanket would work with 3 different solid colors? Also would count be by 5 if you were wanting to bake it a bit bigger for a twin bed?
Hi Karen! I think this blanket could look very pretty with different colors. And Yes, this blanket is worked in a multiple of 5 + 1(1being the turning chain). 😊 oh wow! Have fun making a Twin size blanket!
Thank you for answering. Will be making a twin size blanket for my middle granddaughter after first of year. I’m making Christmas gifts for 10 grandkids & a break needed lol. I like the look, it being easy and quick and no stitching together. Thank you!
Make a swatch. She said on the very beginning that solid is preferred as the pattern won't stand out as well. But I can see this in blocks of different colors looking good.
Hi North Bound Gypsy! Actually I'm not sure what this stitch is called. It's more of a pattern than a stitch. I found this pattern at Yarnspirations.com under Crocheted Tasseled Throw Blanket if you would like to check it out. Thanks for asking!
Tiffany I have just read a comment about a queen size blanket and you quoted 315 stitches. Does that include the xtra one. Pattern is down in 5 stitches per pattern, but, on the first row you started the single crochet in the second loop. On the 315 chain, if you start on the second chain from hook, that would be 314 on the first row which is not divisible by 5 per different stitch.
Hi Marie! Great question and I love how you worked that out. No, that quote of 315 does not include the extra turning chain. That would need to be added in order to meet that multiple of 5 requirement. Thank you so much for pointing that out. Great catch!

Thank you!! Great Christmas Gift!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for breaking down yarn yardage!
You're Welcome! 😊🧡🧶
I need to crochet my 6 year old grandson a throw of his baseball team it’s gold& black. I’m very much fairly new at crocheting & loom knitting.
This is beautiful! Definitely going to be my first attempt at a full size blanket ❤️
I found this video a few months ago and after finishing the other planned projects am starting on this one. How did you finish so that it would be flat at the top? It looks like once you start the pattern the top becomes wavy. Did you add a row of single crochet at the end or do something else? It is lovely. Thank you so much for sharing!
I think that I have figured it out. This is worked in rows of two and they are opposite or each other. That makes a straight edge.
You're a doll ❤️🌹
I love this blanket and was wondering if I could use a thicker yarn and larger hook? Would the pattern work up the same? Thanks
Hi Jayne! I do believe that the pattern will show up with a thicker yarn as long as the yarn is smooth and not textured. Give it a go and let me know how it turns out! 😊🧡🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thanks so much!
@@jaynedudley6653 With a thicker yarn, you might have to make a smaller chain. I have had to do that (or vice versa) in other patterns that I have made. Just a thought
Tiffany this is quite lovely! I'm going to try a wide/long scarf using this pattern. Thank you for sharing this! ❤️
Hi Kay! Oh I love that idea! Please take a picture when you are done and post it in my Facebook Group "I'm Hooked For Hope" I would love to see it!
Très beau, et explications très claires, merci very much
Hi Tiffany, I really love your teaching style and choice of content tutorials.
Very good instructor for all patterns. It did not give a link to print pattern fir this episode. Please advise.
Hi Betty! Thank you so much! Oh no! Here you go: www.yarnspirations.com/caron-crochet-tasseled-throw/CAC0501-001883M.html
Have fun! 😊🧶🧡
It’s easy to modify I would assume .. Just make sure you use even numbers.
thanks i am new i wait you make a Drangon for my Big kid
You hold your yarn in your left hand exactly like me!! =)
Oh I love it! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊😉🧡🧶
Hi I love this pattern! How many stitches do I need to start with to make a queen size blanket? Thanks
Hooked For Hope By Tiffany Hansen Lol thank you for responding and for the info! I’ll let you when I’ve finished it. Gonna take a while. I’m working on a Queen size seamless Granny right now.
Beautiful Tutorial, became your newest subscriber
Awesome, thank you!
@@CrochetWithTiffany You're welcome
Live the blanket with no tassels or perhaps smaller tassels.
Hi Cindyl! Hmm, this is interesting. Are you able to email me a picture of your work so that I can get a visual of what you are referring too. I just want to get the most information I can before I offer any kind of help. My email is Hookedforhope@gmail.com.
Thanks for reaching out and thank you so much for watching my videos! 😊🧡🧶
@@CrochetWithTiffany thank you, I will get that to you today. I have been working on a basket with 3 strands of medium 4 acrylic, I will send you a pic. Thank you so much for your help.
So fantastic!
Tiffany, LOVE this pattern but I am making it for a child. What kinda of a border would be good for that. Tassels probably not a good idea. Thanks 😊
@@CrochetWithTiffany I downloaded the pattern. Why does it look different than what you did in the video?
Thankyou Beautiful
V beautifull pattern
Hello Tiffany the blanket is fantastic just love it i would like to know the name of tne glue can it be used on silky thread.thank you JoyceA
Nice
Pretty!
Very pretty
Thank you so much!
very nice
Awesome pattern. Where did you get your hooks? I like the color. Thanks.
Hi there! I'm flattered you like the crochet hooks I am using. I love working with them. Here is a link to the crochet hook I use in case you would like to order some for yourself: amzn.to/3h0wurb
Gracias, hermosa.
What is this stitch called? Beautiful blanket.
