Nice explanation Ramon of a typical thermistor circuit. The only thing that might be a little misleading is the voltmeter you drew across the pullup resistor implies that the PCM is looking at the voltage drop across this resistor. The PCM is looking at the voltage drop across the thermistor which means you just need to show the voltmeter across it. You just need to show one of the voltmeter leads referenced to ground. Also, this analog voltage being measured by the PCM across the thermistor is fed to an A/D converter where the CPU can use its binary value. Good work and have a happy holidays!

Please help I have a 2009 Toyota Camry and I changed the thermostat because it was blowing cold. It gave me heat for maybe half hour and begin to go back to cold. My check engine came on for the coolant sensor. I replaced that and it seems as if the car is running worse. Any suggestions?

Does p118 cause the car to stall when starting? I need to step on gas to start . I’m thinking it’s my injectors or fuel pump but the check engine light comes on p118.

    I have the p0117 and a p0128.
The car is running cold all the time. Could this be the thermostat stuck open or the ect?

this is the best explanation I've seen so far, but can someone explain to me why my ect has 3 prongs instead of 2?

EA. jam you have an open circuit. Open sensor open signal wire or open ground wire. You need to test it as I explain in this video. Thank you

@@kyhomegarage3430 i did all the testing . And at the end . I found out that the pins in the plug are loose and too wide . So i tightened them up and all worked great .
