Justin, for your big green egg I've figured out a trick. I assume you use a chimney starter for the lump coal. Take the rack out and once you get the chimney starter going put it inside the grill and close the lid. As the coals heat up the grill also heats. When they are cherry red use welding gloves to dump the coals and put the rack in.. It will get you cooking faster.
We used to have chickens and after every big breakfast we would give them the left overs and they loved grits like the Quaker Oats mix grits

Love the mounts and hope the Chickens are getting better! Emmy is getting so big won't be long before she's bringing home the boys to meet Dad? The deer meat looks awesome but for some reason my wife will not eat any meat that is still pink and diffidently not red inside! After cooking it until all the juices are gone she says it too tough. It sucks living with a picky eater!
The Khaki campbell duck is an upright duck and have buff to medium brown body and rust color head. I raised the several years ago and they have an that has a larger yoke and have a richer taste than a chicken. I loved them.

Hey justin if you're having problems with vent gleet, dont give them bread. The yeast in the bread could make it worse or it could be the cause of it in the first place.

Look in to the Looftlighter! It’s a heat gun on steroids, starts the grill so much faster!!! Get the looftlighter, not any of the knockoffs or BGE brand. Read the reviews. It almost starts the grill too fast. I used to light the grill and prep the meat, now I need to prep the meat and then light the grill.
I have a Yoder smoker it can grill or smoke anything I’ve had it for a year and love it it’s kinda pricey but definitely well made
I have eaten Nigali and on the BBQ, it was great. If I recall, it was a very purple colored meat. Tasted pretty much like beef.

Use a plumbing torch to start your green egg. I’m up and going with map gas in 10 mins with mine.

I live north and my chickens lay about 9 a day but I have chickens guinea fowl and ducks in the same pen. It's a way far away for the chickens cause sometimes they lay two times a day but it might be the heat in Texas bro. I get guinea eggs every couple days and duck eggs maybe every other day

Actually if you just drop the on the ground and if broken they will devour that before anything else. Plus the egg shell is another delicacy that the chickens love. Try it next time and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

If you are looking for a pellet grill that is comparable quality to a BGE. I would highly recommend Green Mountain Grills they are much better than traeger and the other brands.
Why have the chickens if you can't eat their eggs? Is it just because of medicated feed or you mentioned respiratory sickness, I'm assuming you gave them antibiotics from that and you're just waiting on time to clear it out? That antibiotic shouldn't bother you unless you have some type of individual reaction to it. Just curious

I know all your buddies might use the T style pellet grill, but don't sell yourself short until you at least check out Rec Tec grills. I own two, and I guarantee you can't beat the warranty or the customer service. Go read the reviews or call them when you get close to choosing one.
