- An EF-2 tornado left The Air Zoo Aerospace And Science Museum with over 100 artifacts and exhibits damaged. The president of the museum, Troy Thrash, joins FOX Weather to talk about how they are trying to preserve these pieces of history. Love the warning before posting. 😅 But,I'm happy to hear they are able to see a lot of the history. We need the truth about it so future generations can see and assess.
We had a private tour with one of the docents who was one of the Flying Tigers with Clair Chennault in China. He took us back where they were storing things while they were redoing things for the space exhibit. My husband and I were so exited to talk with this man who had lived it. He, of course, acted as if it was nothing. His picture was on the wall. It really was amazing. So sorry things got damaged. Hope they can still save things even though they got wet. The museum conservators are miracle workers.

There have been over 100 of late affecting 16 states. The 400 yrs r up.
I was worried about the Air Zoo getting hit, among other things. Naturally human life is the first concern, but history has a life too, of sorts, and preserving it is vitally important to people.
