I think you shouldn't be surprise of how goofy things can get in this show. Oda purposely gave Luffy a rubber power so it can add more goofiness on the dark theme. Especially in gear 5, Oda was able to go all out with his imaginations because he made Luffy's fight in gear 5 so goofy, that the fandom called it toon force, and we love Oda for that 😂❤

The coolest thing about Luffy’s fruit allowing him to make his imagination reality is that you can retroactively use it to explain some of Luffy’s abilities that didn’t really make sense. If you don’t think the explanation that gear 2 pumps blood through Luffy making him stronger makes sense, you can just say that Luffy imagined it would work so it did.
But does that mean he imagined the drawbacks of the gears too? his imagination works only in gear 5 and its limited to his body and its just metaphor for his cartoonish way of fighting that has no limits

So while the concept of being a Mammoth doesn't sound... great, you can achieve a Hybrid Form that retains the special properties of a mammoth but in a humanoid appearance. To keep it simple think of Zoan Fruits like a stat boost in your ATK, DEF, and SPD. And your Zoan body gets even stronger with training.

Enel is actually E-Ne-Ru, which is meant to be translated as Enel sine the U is usually silent when a pairing using it is the last letter, and Ener just dont sound right

I don't know why some people take the information so seriously. Especially since One Piece is partly a comedy. Queen, in addition to being a dinosaur, is also a cyborg. And he also sings and smokes a cigar. Launching the tail along with the neck does not seem so strange. When you watch this anime and you're halfway through or even before that, nothing surprises you. If someone doesn't know this anime then everything will surprise him.
Oda legitimately just makes stuff up for comedic effect. And I'm glad he does, because It's always funny when someone pulls some ridiculous BS out of their ass.
My guess for the Dinosaurs is that either the one piece world dinosaurs are like that or it is actually the shapeshifting aspect of the fruit added with the misconception from the users that granted them these wacky abilities like Kaku who thought up the idea to shrink his neck while in giraffe form then shooting it out for a more powerful attack.

It's weirdly more Phoenix than the actually Phoenix fruit. And with each time he is the Roaster, he is at his strongest level since he survived an explosion and didn't revert to the egg cycle.

A real unique skill of Zoans is their combat Prowess. Think about it: some of the strongest creatures use pure strength and instinct to live in the wild and so giving that build to powers to anyone, since the fruits goes for the peak version of the animal, it makes them tank hits better, run for a very long time and hit even harder.
Hell, going back to remember all the times Luffy was put through thw wringer, nearly killed and bounced back with some food: it makes Way more sense now a days.

They explained back in Alabasta or Enies Lobby that Dr Vegapunk found a way to make inanimate objects have devil fruit abilities, mainly zoan type. Vegapunk is the smartest character in One Piece.

If he dies,he transforms into a yolk,and if the yolj go back into the egg,he comes back to life as a chick,if he dies again,he repeats the same process but come back as a rooster. And if he dies again,he repeats the process and come back as an egg again. To kill him you would need to know about his fruits,and destroy that Yolk

Zoan type fruits are broken cos they make the user a lot tougher physically and when awakened, the user gets insanely high durability and regeneration. Mythical Zoans also have extra abilities. Like how Marco can heal from any attack and shoot blue flames.

The base ability of a Zoan is what makes eating any fruit of this sort interesting. You get a buff to strength, stamina, regenation and defense that scales with the animal in your hybrid form.
Let's say you eat a mice fruit. Your animal form might be weaker than a normal human, but the hybrid form is already a bit stronger than both forms.
This should already answer your question about the Mammoth fruit. Elephants are obviously stronger than a mice. So with the mammoth being one of its strongest forms. it gives you a much stronger hybrid form.
That's why in general, ancient Zoans are highly prized. Ancient creatures are usually stronger than modern ones. They adapted to inhospitable environments with massive predators.
Meanwhile Mythical Zoans are even better than most Logias as this also applies to them. Kaido might seem unstoppable in his dragon form, but his hybrid form is where his true strength lies.

So why Enel and Eneru? Enel is how its written but not how its pronounced. I dont speak Japanese but from what I understand L and R are often interchangeable, like how Zoro is Zolo in the official translation. Also Japanese words almost never end with a consonant, they end with a vowel. So the L changes to R (Ener) but you need a vowel at the end so it changes to Eneru.
No, the only reason Zoro is Zolo in the official translation is because the english publisher didn't want to get in trouble for using the name Zoro (you know because of the original Zorro) so they changed it when the official english translation started and they never changed it back.
