Yo Kyle, keep in mind that you don't need to feel pressured to have to react to One Piece and can watch it on your own. Yes, you might be losing a potential source of significant and consistent content for your channel, but, in the end, it's all about you enjoying things the way that you want to. I'd say that One Piece is definitely worth checking out even on your own time because it is such a cultural icon.

In the video you see two snake women who each became a different KIND of snake, and one of the mythical fruits he mentioned was a model of Chopper's human-human fruit. True, but it does cause a bit of fuckery with the Lore. For example, Haki. Before the Time Skip, Haki didn't exist. Oda had the idea about some of it's powers, but never flushed it out. It's not till after the Time Skip when Haki was not only flushed out, but became so common, it literally made no sense for it to not exist before the Time Skip. Most specifically, during the War with Whitebeard. With all the 'Rules' and 'Lore' we have now, in the latest episodes, the War should have gone a much, MUCH more different way. There is also the Mochi Mochi issue. Oda created a Logia type, before realizing 'Oh shit, it breaks the rules I set!' and literally edited the comic live on the next release to make it a 'Special' Fruit. Or better yet a 'Plothole' Fruit, since it should not exist at all, at least not in that form. There is also the issue with other Lore stuff. Such as, WHY did Shanks lose his arm? He knows Haki, he is literally one of the top 4 most powerful beings to exist on the planet. He knows Emperor's Haki. And yet, he loses his arm.... It makes no sense. It did in the very beginning when Haki didn't exist and there was barely any kinda super powers. But now? In today's lore? Looking back, Shank's losing his arm is a massive Plothole. There is also the Fire and Lava plothole. Ace is a Lugia, unless the Lava guy, can never remember his name, used Haki, he should NEVER be able to touch Ace, at all, period, as defined by the rules set by Lugias. Only Natural Weaknesses work against them like Haki. Overriding is just a plothole to explain why Ace died. So Oda not only creates Plotholes in creating abilities that violate his own set rules, and has to label them as 'Special'/'Exceptions', he also has to create new unrealistic rules that didn't exist, to explain away plotholes he created. The guy is amazing at world building. No denying that. The world of One Piece, the characters, plotlines, and lore is indepth and amazing. But he is not a perfect being or god. He has made a LOT of Mistakes. So many, it would probably be better if he scrapped One Piece all together when he finally ends the series, labeling it as a 'Rough Draft', and taking the characters, rules, and ideals and recreating the series with all the rules and lore set from the very beginning, and not made up as he goes, creating plotholes.
@@Jirodyne first haki wasn't always depicted as turning black, before the time skip during paramount war it was at least said white beard and marco used haki in some scenes. And in sbs's it was reveal oda first planned arnement haki to not have a telling visual change. Also we don't know if shank's lost his arm on purpose. So it's still open for reason and answers. I will agree with how power scaling made some parts kinda weird/maybe plothole in retrospect.

@@Jirodyne the only plothole in shanks losing his arm is the fact that he didn't use armament haki to protect it. he DID use conqueror's in the scene, causing the sea king to run away. he only used it after losing his arm though, which can simply be explained by him being too focused on luffy due to panic.
The video is wrong on one aspect, just so you know: Being in the ocean doesn't COMPLETELY negate the powers. Just severely weakens them. Case in point, Luffy could still fight underwater in Fishmen Island's ocean, but he was severely weakened in his fighting.
The orignal video was made a while ago and got lot’s of things wrong. There are 9 ancient zoans and 7 mythical zoans revealed so far. Artificial devil fruits don’t cause the user to grow black horns, rather the horns are used to classify the different beast pirate factions since kaido has an entire army of devil fruit users and the artifical zoans have their own classifications. There are also 2 more awakened paramecia users. And the guy didn’t mention that devil fruits seem to reincarnate to a nearby fruit, possibly the nearest fruit of the same type, when the user dies. Also to make this comment even longer we now know that haki not only counters logias, but can be used to resist even paramecia abilities with willpower. Almost like being an anti devil fruit
I'd look up Grand Line Review's Devil Fruits Explained video. In terms of eating a Devil Fruit myself, the short answer is it depends. Long answer: we know what certain specific fruits look like and have a good idea of what Logias look like. It's not so much searching for a specific fruit, but rather avoiding a select few of them.
To answer your question, Thriller bark is a floating island full of Zombies who can walk talk and fight. They can only be defeated by putting salt in their mouths to release shadows which are their souls. These zombies were created by a warlord named Geko Moria who stole shadows from people who fell for his trap and put them into modified bodies turning them into zombies with that person's personalities and abilities. The people who lost their shadows can be vaporized in sunlight unless they get their shadows back. The straw-hats fell for the trap and had to fight the warlords crew.
13:43 Honestly, I'd only eat a Devil Fruit if I found one that I could identify as potentially giving me the power of flight without a need for wings. I enjoy swimming a bit too much, and anything happening to any wings I got could be absolutely crippling, especially if it happened over water. On that note, it would also depend on whether or not I could get my hands on something that would deploy an emergency flotation device on contact with water, just as some extra insurance against a grim watery grave.
@@awesomesauce94 Not necessarily, I'd be willing to work with just about any fruit that met that criteria. For instance, both Ace and Smoker could fly due to the nature of their fruits. Flight doesn't have to be the focus, just one of the benefits.
What you can do with a devil fruit depends on the user's creativity, that's how Luffy has so many attacks. In terms of weirdness, the yami-yami no mi is of the strangest devil fruits. Despite being a logia, the user isn't intangable to regular attacks, but it can also cancel the powers of other devil fruits by touching the user, like haki, but is not using haki.
Haki Can't nullify devil fruit's ability but only let user to touch real body of logia user meanwhile yami yami no mi can Completely nullify the devil fruit's ability and user can run out of haki but can't run out of devil fruit's ability.

It was still an amazing reaction and seeing your delight at learning everything was a lot of fun~ The in-depth studies over this show is incredible. Theory videos go wild. I'm partially on the fence about you reacting to more general One Piece videos, in some ways because the writing, creativity and world building are some of the best features of the series and you're definitely on the border of nullifying those benefits through Spoilers. Though the comedy of the series and great story moments could probably still make it largely enjoyable. As such I'd recommend potentially watching the movies (either broken up or highly edited) until you are ready for the series itself. (They are not cannon but still give off a lot of what One Piece is) I really do want to warn you, the company behind the series is very protective of One Piece and Dragonball (potentially worse than Sony) and it is really a risky/difficult series for covering/reacting to on TH-cam, reactors end up heavily obscuring the screen except for subtitles, taking reactions purely to Patreon, only showing themselves, etc. And people who primarily cover the series often show very few images, incredibly short clips and mainly just talk. (This is a part of why I recommend reading the series or watching it on your own then returning with your thoughts) ("Totally Not Mark" had 153 videos taken down by them and he was just reviewing, drawing and talking about the series, he finally got the videos back but only after having TH-cam block them in Japan for him)
Yea I think at this point since everything is being spoiled reacting to the actual series would be a waste of time, but being clued in and discovering the world seems enjoyable for all, but i imagine it would be super boring to watch 1000+ episodes when you already know whats going to happen

So stuff that got clarified since this video came out: 1) artificial zoans don't give you black horns, those horns are just part of the uniform that one pirate crew uses. 2) Artificial zoans are a lottery. Sometimes you end up with crab claws for hands, others you end up with a giraffe neck and head coming off of your ass (yes, that actually happened... kinda) and that giraffe has sentience of its own appart of the user. 3) there's a terrible and spoilerific thing that happens if you eat an artificial zoan and it doesn't give you an animal for a bodypart.
To answer your question, Blackbeard's original Devil Fruit, the Yami Yami no Mi, is known as the Dark Dark Fruit in English. His power is to create and control darkness itself, which is what was covering one of his hands in the video. Without getting into everything and spoiling too much, it's not just generic ordinary darkness. It seems to have power over gravity as well.

If you're gonna react to videos about Information about the world if One Piece, I'd recommend doing videos from a channel called The Grandline Review. His videos are typically only about 10 minutes long, and his channel is practically an encyclopedia for the series. I think he even had a series of videos where he goes into depth about what devil fruits can do what, and covers about one fruit per video. Edit: I didn't realize the channel from this video did the same thing though.
Oh if you want an encyclopedia, just go to the library that is Tekking101. The knowledge he can pull off the top of his head is crazy. Granted, his stuff also tends to run longer.
If your still wondering what kind of One Piece content you wanna watch after this, I suggest a channel called GrandLineReview. He's very entertaining and has done a ton ranking devil fruits from worst to best. There's one video specifically from him that I hope you react to and that's his documentary video on the arc, Dressrosa. It's a great video that goes indepth on the experience, response and flaws with the most "notorious" arc of the whole series. The video is quite long, just barely passing the one hour mark, but if you ever have the time to do it I highly recommend it.
One of, if not the biggest factors in a devil fruit's power and potential is the creativity of the user themselves. Zoan users typically use the "hybrid" form in combat and the "fruit animal" form when transportation is the primary concern. Bird Zoan users being one example. Logia and Paramecia types have to understand their powers and create various special attacks. Luffy's rubber body protects him from normal bullets and cannonballs, returning them to sender. He can also stretch his body to attack enemies who would be out of reach for most people.
The current arcs main antagonist kaido, is the thierd user of a mythical zohan fruit and as you may have guessed hes the giant fuck of dragon that was in the last few openings, his ftuit grants unrivaled strength, flight, some control over weather (it seems that way but could just be coincedence) and allows him to fire huge beams of fire out of his mouth hes abselutely rediculously overpowered and probably will be the peak of shire physical strength in the series for quite a while, in his introduction he threw himself of a flying island and fell over 3000 meters only to get right back up and complaining about a mild headache.
It´s funny how zoans turned from pretty weak to really OP and Logia, from OP invinicible to a massive liability through Haki. Smoker turned from a menace to Cannon fodder.
Please watch the Haki video. It’s basically a set of 3 ability that people can obtain naturally without a devil fruit. Tho there is a special one called conquerors Haki which only a select few people are born with so generally people only have 1 or 2 of them
A slight correction. Spooky stated that if an animal would eat a zoan of their species they would gain no powers. The author had stated that if an animal were to eat the zoan fruit of their animal they would become enlightened. Effectively they would become a better version of themselves. There is even a human who ate the human-human fruit. However that was the mythic version of it, so I don't know how good of an example he is. Granted the author has also stated there could be as many as 108 devil fruits, but he said that early on. Not counting the artificial devil fruits I think we might of passed that by now. Its been a while since I checked the list.
There's an ongoing theory, that Blackbeard has multiple personalities/souls and that's why he was able to use 2 devil fruit abilities. In a flashback he was called a 'they' and he had a notiacable attitude change. People got a weird feeling around him. He's also not the first one piece character like this. There is guy who change's personalities by day and night. I'd like to think that eating a devil fruit is like selling your soul to the devil and that's why Blackbeard could use multiple powers. He has more than one soul to sell.

For example OP brontosaurus could expel their own tail and neck as if it was a snake for an attack, and Pterodons could stretch the crest they have behind their heads to use it like a whip/spear. This has become the canon of the One Piece world in the last few months.

Since this video more devil fruits have been shown. One notable case is all the ancient variants of the dragon dragon fruit (aka dinosaurs). You see in the west the dinosaurs ( terrible lizard) are seen as reptiles, but eastern nations see them as dragons, Koryu is Japanese for dinosaur and means terrible dragon. So all dinosaur devil fruits are ancient variants of the dragon dragon fruit.

It comes close, but I’d personally have to give that honer to bleach. They have sentient swords with different powers that can transform. Each sword has its own name and look, as well as personality. They are like devil fruits-but with actual personalities and character traits-specially the main character’s sword: sanguetsu.

Just to clarify the blues comment at the start, the world of one piece is divided up into 6 major sections, the Red Line; a continent that forms a ring round the world north south that is so tall its considered impassible, the Grand Line; a sea full of bazzar phenomenon which wraps around the world east weast, which is bordered by the calm belts areas of ocean with no wind or currents inhabitanted by sea kings, and the 4 Blues; North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, and West Blue; 4 great oceans made by the division of the red and grand lines.

Look at what Malefor, Cynder and Spyro became when exposed to Dark Aether/Nether, it changed their entire bodies drastically and consumed them, Spyro having the most noticeable changes.

Super weird timing; since a recommended video about stuff in the most recent chapter made me start thinking about devil fruit this morning. If I found a devil fruit I'd personally hold onto it and try to find any information on which one it is, only eating it in a last ditch situation kind of thing before that. Unless it turned out to be one I wanted. My username should probably tell you exactly what sort of fruit I'd be looking for incidentally. I really love the Cloud Foxes in the series and would particularly love to be able to turn into one of those. I don't have any specific video recommendations, but I'd definitely suggest some sort of haki guide since that came up in this one a lot and that's a pretty interesting subject too. It's basically the series' other major power system besides the devil fruits.
If I'd Eaten Any Unknown Devil Fruit In One Piece Then I Would've Eaten The "Gust Gust Fruit" (Toppu Toppu No Mi) Cause With It's Abilities You Can Fly, Teleport, Turn Into And Control Wind At Will. One important thing that was told wrong i nthis video: eating a Zoan fruit of your own type of creature like eating the human fruit as a human does not do "nothing", the author of one piece oda himself explained in a Q&A that it would make you a "purer" form of yourself, so like becoming a purer human, what this exactly means is yet to be explained though :D

Warning post might contain SPOILERS!!! 2Spooky is awesome but i might suggest checking out tekking101 hes called a one piece encyclopedia for a reason. also as far as 2 people eating 1 fruit this was shown when Ace ate the flair flair fruit, him and the other guy stranded on the island both took a bite but since ace took the first bite he got the powers and the other guy just got a bad tasting fruit. also you might enjoy One Piece DND with Rustage2 on youtube, hes been running a campaign for a little over 2 years with Brigs, Lost Paws, 2Spooky and Tekking101. As far as Chopper and his devil fruit...hes a bit of a unique example, Chopper is NOT human, he is a reindeer who ate the standard model Human Human fruit...a fruit that is only really useful if eaten by anything other than a human since a human eating the human human fruit wouldnt get any animal or hybrid form. Wano ark is dino fruit central. as for the artificial fruits, a couple corrections since we learned more in wano. the black horns arnt due to the fruit they ate its part of their costume. when he mentions them only being able to transform parts of their body into an animal...the catch to that is they cant change the body part back, they are just stuck that way for life in adition to this if you end up manifesting the head of an animal then it will have its own sentience and could act without you wanting it to or potentialy attack the user like with Holdem when his lion nut shot him every time it gets irritated with Holdem. there are also major risks with eating these fruits, only 1 out of 10 people get any ability all others just get the standard fruit weaknesses as well as loosing the ability to express any emotion besides elation...meaning they can never express sadness, grief, sympathy or any other emotion, all they can do is laugh. Vega Punk on the other hand made an almost perfect replica, only reason he considered it a failure was because the color of the creature wasnt the same.
Just to clarify, there are a LOT of reasons that you don't want an artificial zoan that have kind of outdated this video. For one, they are SUPER hard to grow, like, unless you have abilities that lend themselves to gardening, you will not grow one. For two, only 1 out of 10 fruits is a success. The other nine have...a really bad side effect, as well as the weaknesses, so no powers and a curse. Also, and here's the big one, the transfoatipn is COMPLETELY RANDOM AND IRREVERSIBLE. You have no idea what you will get or where it'll come out. You could get an ellephant trunk for a dick or a whole fully sentient gorilla growing out of your back, and you cannot change back. Heck, for the ones where you get the headof something, the head is a seperate bring and could actively hate you
I suggest that you watch the East Blue saga of One Piece own your own (roughly 40-ish episode) and then start reacting to it afterwards. Since the East Blue saga will be boring for most that had watched reaction repeatedly...
As far as other one piece content you might find interesting without having to just start going through 1000 + chapters/episodes, I'd actually recomend checking out the Build the Roster video for a theoretical One Piece fighting game (Link here: th-cam.com/video/iYwBrszX3dA/w-d-xo.html ). It's a 1 hour video, but it starts with some more generalized discussion of Dragonball Fighter Z and a One piece game makes more sense as a follow-up, plus it's got some very clear and logical break points to split up any reaction.

That's why it's so unique, other Shonen power systems are typically esthetically appealing in the most flashy way and then there's One Piece where a person has the power to turn himself into a fucking jacket 😂😂 It's amazing!
True, but it does cause a bit of fuckery with the Lore. For example, Haki. Before the Time Skip, Haki didn't exist. Oda had the idea about some of it's powers, but never flushed it out. It's not till after the Time Skip when Haki was not only flushed out, but became so common, it literally made no sense for it to not exist before the Time Skip. Most specifically, during the War with Whitebeard. With all the 'Rules' and 'Lore' we have now, in the latest episodes, the War should have gone a much, MUCH more different way.
There is also the Mochi Mochi issue. Oda created a Logia type, before realizing 'Oh shit, it breaks the rules I set!' and literally edited the comic live on the next release to make it a 'Special' Fruit. Or better yet a 'Plothole' Fruit, since it should not exist at all, at least not in that form.
There is also the issue with other Lore stuff. Such as, WHY did Shanks lose his arm? He knows Haki, he is literally one of the top 4 most powerful beings to exist on the planet. He knows Emperor's Haki. And yet, he loses his arm.... It makes no sense. It did in the very beginning when Haki didn't exist and there was barely any kinda super powers. But now? In today's lore? Looking back, Shank's losing his arm is a massive Plothole.
There is also the Fire and Lava plothole. Ace is a Lugia, unless the Lava guy, can never remember his name, used Haki, he should NEVER be able to touch Ace, at all, period, as defined by the rules set by Lugias. Only Natural Weaknesses work against them like Haki. Overriding is just a plothole to explain why Ace died.
So Oda not only creates Plotholes in creating abilities that violate his own set rules, and has to label them as 'Special'/'Exceptions', he also has to create new unrealistic rules that didn't exist, to explain away plotholes he created.
The guy is amazing at world building. No denying that. The world of One Piece, the characters, plotlines, and lore is indepth and amazing. But he is not a perfect being or god. He has made a LOT of Mistakes. So many, it would probably be better if he scrapped One Piece all together when he finally ends the series, labeling it as a 'Rough Draft', and taking the characters, rules, and ideals and recreating the series with all the rules and lore set from the very beginning, and not made up as he goes, creating plotholes.

And in sbs's it was reveal oda first planned arnement haki to not have a telling visual change.
Also we don't know if shank's lost his arm on purpose.

@@Jirodyne the only plothole in shanks losing his arm is the fact that he didn't use armament haki to protect it. he DID use conqueror's in the scene, causing the sea king to run away. he only used it after losing his arm though, which can simply be explained by him being too focused on luffy due to panic.
The video is wrong on one aspect, just so you know: Being in the ocean doesn't COMPLETELY negate the powers. Just severely weakens them. Case in point, Luffy could still fight underwater in Fishmen Island's ocean, but he was severely weakened in his fighting.
The orignal video was made a while ago and got lot’s of things wrong. There are 9 ancient zoans and 7 mythical zoans revealed so far. Artificial devil fruits don’t cause the user to grow black horns, rather the horns are used to classify the different beast pirate factions since kaido has an entire army of devil fruit users and the artifical zoans have their own classifications. There are also 2 more awakened paramecia users. And the guy didn’t mention that devil fruits seem to reincarnate to a nearby fruit, possibly the nearest fruit of the same type, when the user dies. Also to make this comment even longer we now know that haki not only counters logias, but can be used to resist even paramecia abilities with willpower. Almost like being an anti devil fruit

In terms of eating a Devil Fruit myself, the short answer is it depends. Long answer: we know what certain specific fruits look like and have a good idea of what Logias look like. It's not so much searching for a specific fruit, but rather avoiding a select few of them.

To answer your question, Thriller bark is a floating island full of Zombies who can walk talk and fight. They can only be defeated by putting salt in their mouths to release shadows which are their souls.
These zombies were created by a warlord named Geko Moria who stole shadows from people who fell for his trap and put them into modified bodies turning them into zombies with that person's personalities and abilities.
The people who lost their shadows can be vaporized in sunlight unless they get their shadows back. The straw-hats fell for the trap and had to fight the warlords crew.
13:43 Honestly, I'd only eat a Devil Fruit if I found one that I could identify as potentially giving me the power of flight without a need for wings. I enjoy swimming a bit too much, and anything happening to any wings I got could be absolutely crippling, especially if it happened over water. On that note, it would also depend on whether or not I could get my hands on something that would deploy an emergency flotation device on contact with water, just as some extra insurance against a grim watery grave.

What you can do with a devil fruit depends on the user's creativity, that's how Luffy has so many attacks.
In terms of weirdness, the yami-yami no mi is of the strangest devil fruits. Despite being a logia, the user isn't intangable to regular attacks, but it can also cancel the powers of other devil fruits by touching the user, like haki, but is not using haki.
Haki Can't nullify devil fruit's ability but only let user to touch real body of logia user meanwhile yami yami no mi can Completely nullify the devil fruit's ability and user can run out of haki but can't run out of devil fruit's ability.
I think comparing Yami-Yami to sea stone makes more sense than haki since haki doesn’t nullify a df/logis user but sea stone does.

I'm partially on the fence about you reacting to more general One Piece videos, in some ways because the writing, creativity and world building are some of the best features of the series and you're definitely on the border of nullifying those benefits through Spoilers. Though the comedy of the series and great story moments could probably still make it largely enjoyable.
As such I'd recommend potentially watching the movies (either broken up or highly edited) until you are ready for the series itself. (They are not cannon but still give off a lot of what One Piece is)
I really do want to warn you, the company behind the series is very protective of One Piece and Dragonball (potentially worse than Sony) and it is really a risky/difficult series for covering/reacting to on TH-cam, reactors end up heavily obscuring the screen except for subtitles, taking reactions purely to Patreon, only showing themselves, etc. And people who primarily cover the series often show very few images, incredibly short clips and mainly just talk. (This is a part of why I recommend reading the series or watching it on your own then returning with your thoughts) ("Totally Not Mark" had 153 videos taken down by them and he was just reviewing, drawing and talking about the series, he finally got the videos back but only after having TH-cam block them in Japan for him)
Yea I think at this point since everything is being spoiled reacting to the actual series would be a waste of time, but being clued in and discovering the world seems enjoyable for all, but i imagine it would be super boring to watch 1000+ episodes when you already know whats going to happen

So stuff that got clarified since this video came out: 1) artificial zoans don't give you black horns, those horns are just part of the uniform that one pirate crew uses.
2) Artificial zoans are a lottery. Sometimes you end up with crab claws for hands, others you end up with a giraffe neck and head coming off of your ass (yes, that actually happened... kinda) and that giraffe has sentience of its own appart of the user.
3) there's a terrible and spoilerific thing that happens if you eat an artificial zoan and it doesn't give you an animal for a bodypart.
To answer your question, Blackbeard's original Devil Fruit, the Yami Yami no Mi, is known as the Dark Dark Fruit in English. His power is to create and control darkness itself, which is what was covering one of his hands in the video. Without getting into everything and spoiling too much, it's not just generic ordinary darkness. It seems to have power over gravity as well.

If you're gonna react to videos about Information about the world if One Piece, I'd recommend doing videos from a channel called The Grandline Review. His videos are typically only about 10 minutes long, and his channel is practically an encyclopedia for the series. I think he even had a series of videos where he goes into depth about what devil fruits can do what, and covers about one fruit per video.
Edit: I didn't realize the channel from this video did the same thing though.
Oh if you want an encyclopedia, just go to the library that is Tekking101. The knowledge he can pull off the top of his head is crazy. Granted, his stuff also tends to run longer.
If your still wondering what kind of One Piece content you wanna watch after this, I suggest a channel called GrandLineReview. He's very entertaining and has done a ton ranking devil fruits from worst to best. There's one video specifically from him that I hope you react to and that's his documentary video on the arc, Dressrosa. It's a great video that goes indepth on the experience, response and flaws with the most "notorious" arc of the whole series. The video is quite long, just barely passing the one hour mark, but if you ever have the time to do it I highly recommend it.
One of, if not the biggest factors in a devil fruit's power and potential is the creativity of the user themselves. Zoan users typically use the "hybrid" form in combat and the "fruit animal" form when transportation is the primary concern. Bird Zoan users being one example. Logia and Paramecia types have to understand their powers and create various special attacks. Luffy's rubber body protects him from normal bullets and cannonballs, returning them to sender. He can also stretch his body to attack enemies who would be out of reach for most people.

The current arcs main antagonist kaido, is the thierd user of a mythical zohan fruit and as you may have guessed hes the giant fuck of dragon that was in the last few openings, his ftuit grants unrivaled strength, flight, some control over weather (it seems that way but could just be coincedence) and allows him to fire huge beams of fire out of his mouth hes abselutely rediculously overpowered and probably will be the peak of shire physical strength in the series for quite a while, in his introduction he threw himself of a flying island and fell over 3000 meters only to get right back up and complaining about a mild headache.
Black beard found out his darkness fruit allowed him to steal devil fruit powers.
It´s funny how zoans turned from pretty weak to really OP and Logia, from OP invinicible to a massive liability through Haki. Smoker turned from a menace to Cannon fodder.
Please watch the Haki video. It’s basically a set of 3 ability that people can obtain naturally without a devil fruit. Tho there is a special one called conquerors Haki which only a select few people are born with so generally people only have 1 or 2 of them
A slight correction. Spooky stated that if an animal would eat a zoan of their species they would gain no powers. The author had stated that if an animal were to eat the zoan fruit of their animal they would become enlightened. Effectively they would become a better version of themselves. There is even a human who ate the human-human fruit. However that was the mythic version of it, so I don't know how good of an example he is.
Granted the author has also stated there could be as many as 108 devil fruits, but he said that early on. Not counting the artificial devil fruits I think we might of passed that by now. Its been a while since I checked the list.

There's an ongoing theory, that Blackbeard has multiple personalities/souls and that's why he was able to use 2 devil fruit abilities. In a flashback he was called a 'they' and he had a notiacable attitude change. People got a weird feeling around him. He's also not the first one piece character like this. There is guy who change's personalities by day and night. I'd like to think that eating a devil fruit is like selling your soul to the devil and that's why Blackbeard could use multiple powers. He has more than one soul to sell.

Since this video more devil fruits have been shown. One notable case is all the ancient variants of the dragon dragon fruit (aka dinosaurs). You see in the west the dinosaurs ( terrible lizard) are seen as reptiles, but eastern nations see them as dragons, Koryu is Japanese for dinosaur and means terrible dragon. So all dinosaur devil fruits are ancient variants of the dragon dragon fruit.

Devil Fruits is one of the most interesting things in One Piece, and by far, one of the most interesting power systems in Manga/Anime.
It comes close, but I’d personally have to give that honer to bleach. They have sentient swords with different powers that can transform. Each sword has its own name and look, as well as personality. They are like devil fruits-but with actual personalities and character traits-specially the main character’s sword: sanguetsu.

Just to clarify the blues comment at the start, the world of one piece is divided up into 6 major sections, the Red Line; a continent that forms a ring round the world north south that is so tall its considered impassible, the Grand Line; a sea full of bazzar phenomenon which wraps around the world east weast, which is bordered by the calm belts areas of ocean with no wind or currents inhabitanted by sea kings, and the 4 Blues; North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, and West Blue; 4 great oceans made by the division of the red and grand lines.
I would suggest checking out Swagkage's series explaining different Naruto abilities. He has a playlist that orders them. They're very well made videos.

I feel like it would not be fun as it sounds, I know demonic & dark forces and they always have huge risks, you want an example? Look at what Malefor, Cynder and Spyro became when exposed to Dark Aether/Nether, it changed their entire bodies drastically and consumed them, Spyro having the most noticeable changes.

Super weird timing; since a recommended video about stuff in the most recent chapter made me start thinking about devil fruit this morning.
If I found a devil fruit I'd personally hold onto it and try to find any information on which one it is, only eating it in a last ditch situation kind of thing before that. Unless it turned out to be one I wanted. My username should probably tell you exactly what sort of fruit I'd be looking for incidentally. I really love the Cloud Foxes in the series and would particularly love to be able to turn into one of those.
I don't have any specific video recommendations, but I'd definitely suggest some sort of haki guide since that came up in this one a lot and that's a pretty interesting subject too. It's basically the series' other major power system besides the devil fruits.

One important thing that was told wrong i nthis video: eating a Zoan fruit of your own type of creature like eating the human fruit as a human does not do "nothing", the author of one piece oda himself explained in a Q&A that it would make you a "purer" form of yourself, so like becoming a purer human, what this exactly means is yet to be explained though :D

2Spooky is awesome but i might suggest checking out tekking101 hes called a one piece encyclopedia for a reason. also as far as 2 people eating 1 fruit this was shown when Ace ate the flair flair fruit, him and the other guy stranded on the island both took a bite but since ace took the first bite he got the powers and the other guy just got a bad tasting fruit. also you might enjoy One Piece DND with Rustage2 on youtube, hes been running a campaign for a little over 2 years with Brigs, Lost Paws, 2Spooky and Tekking101. As far as Chopper and his devil fruit...hes a bit of a unique example, Chopper is NOT human, he is a reindeer who ate the standard model Human Human fruit...a fruit that is only really useful if eaten by anything other than a human since a human eating the human human fruit wouldnt get any animal or hybrid form.
Wano ark is dino fruit central. as for the artificial fruits, a couple corrections since we learned more in wano. the black horns arnt due to the fruit they ate its part of their costume. when he mentions them only being able to transform parts of their body into an animal...the catch to that is they cant change the body part back, they are just stuck that way for life in adition to this if you end up manifesting the head of an animal then it will have its own sentience and could act without you wanting it to or potentialy attack the user like with Holdem when his lion nut shot him every time it gets irritated with Holdem. there are also major risks with eating these fruits, only 1 out of 10 people get any ability all others just get the standard fruit weaknesses as well as loosing the ability to express any emotion besides elation...meaning they can never express sadness, grief, sympathy or any other emotion, all they can do is laugh. Vega Punk on the other hand made an almost perfect replica, only reason he considered it a failure was because the color of the creature wasnt the same.

Just to clarify, there are a LOT of reasons that you don't want an artificial zoan that have kind of outdated this video. For one, they are SUPER hard to grow, like, unless you have abilities that lend themselves to gardening, you will not grow one. For two, only 1 out of 10 fruits is a success. The other nine have...a really bad side effect, as well as the weaknesses, so no powers and a curse. Also, and here's the big one, the transfoatipn is COMPLETELY RANDOM AND IRREVERSIBLE. You have no idea what you will get or where it'll come out. You could get an ellephant trunk for a dick or a whole fully sentient gorilla growing out of your back, and you cannot change back. Heck, for the ones where you get the headof something, the head is a seperate bring and could actively hate you
Personally, i would focus much more on studying and experimenting Devil Fruits, rather than just eat them outright.
I, personally, would be really, really, pissed off for that yummy spoiler anyone wanting to start One Piece just got shoved down their throat

As far as other one piece content you might find interesting without having to just start going through 1000 + chapters/episodes, I'd actually recomend checking out the Build the Roster video for a theoretical One Piece fighting game (Link here: th-cam.com/video/iYwBrszX3dA/w-d-xo.html ). It's a 1 hour video, but it starts with some more generalized discussion of Dragonball Fighter Z and a One piece game makes more sense as a follow-up, plus it's got some very clear and logical break points to split up any reaction.
Kyle i know that you are going to make another channel for one piece specifically but just to let you man is one piece is currently over 1000 episodes long now so if you want to try to catch up I suggest watching more than one episode instead
