We were there for there for this song, it was not going to be in their set but some people asked for it even though it is a Journey song. They said it wasn't their song but they would try it anyway and I think they did a good job. They are a fun group to watch.
Unreal - I always thought Mickey would be an amazing Steve Perry or Brad Delp replacement - which is saying a lot as they were two of the best multi octave singers in the 70’s and 80’s.
Um yes, he is way better than Steve Perry his voice is held up so much better too... I love a handful of Journey songs but I'm about sick of them and I'm definitely sick of this one if I was Starship or Mickey Thomas I wouldn't have sunk this low.

I can't get beyond the mistake by the keyboardist at the 7th bar when he goes to the wrong chord. It's not an E in the 2nd position (-3) over the major third (G#), it's an Ab- 1st position less the parallel octave in the RH. Total bummer

The title of this video is misleading. This is not Starship; it's Starship featuring Mickey Thomas--a Mickey Thomas solo band. Starship, which ended in 1991, would never cover another band like Journey. Never!
Sad that todays artist have no talent and they are a fart in the wind compared to real talent . Side note . It’s hard to sing like Steve Perry the best ever. Mercury and Bobby Hatfield are at the top as well!!!
