      Just be aware they are tuned to 1280 and 1258. Outside of this range you will have issues, along with issues with cheap 200mW VTX and those antennas. And.... a dipole is lighter and more easily fitted into a much smaller model, say a Dart 250g for example rather than this, which even V2 is pretty big. Fine ina larger model though, Matt

      @RagTheNutsOff  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Alex, sadly due to the legality of actually powering such a module on in the UK, thats not something I could do. But it would be fair to assume that it would be fine 5 fields away, below the hedge line. with clovers or 20 miles away with a dipole. Loads of vids on TH-cam that can demonstrate this for you. Matt

    • @alerx94
      @alerx94 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience not bad, you just have to give the proper separation between the vtx and the CF receiver also you need to put some separation between the CF transmitter and the video receiver.
      Or you can just put a notch filter, though the quality is good.

      @@RagTheNutsOff I went ~1mi on 5.8Ghz and thought it was terrible, immediately ordered these Matek 1G3 VTXs.. (turned out I'd left the 5.8vtx on 25mw smh.. but still, never looked back).. I got some weird artefacts with the stock antennas (used on both ends, I also have the 1G3 VRX goggles module), the image seemed dull, and occasionally had some bizzare sparkles on bright edges in the image. As soon as I swapped for some decent TrueRC 1.3 antennas, it cleared right up, and not a smidge of static yet at similar distances, need to push it out there further now.

      Harmonics can reduce range on 2.4ghz, everyone I know uses 459 or 868Mhz on the model. Others still seem to be ok on 2.4ghz.

    • @alphapapa77
      @alphapapa77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could see where there could be an issue but there is also a basic rule of thumb to not use control frequencies higher than the VTX frequency or you will lose control before you lose the image.

    • @t413com
      @t413com 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest issue is with GPS signals, actually. Make sure it's as far from your unit as it can be and expect much longer fix times. Also some video cameras get EMI issues with 1.3 like the Caddx Loris.
