In my opinion one of the finest interpreters of Hendrix songs, alongside Randy Hansen and Popa Chubby. And I mean interpretation (in their own style), not just a cover.
Perhaps once a generation or longer. Someone comes along with the technical ability, feel, soul, and God, given talent to pull off something like this. I stand in awe.
Simply amazing. I would normally say the solo is too long or too fast with the musicality taking a back seat to display of virtuosity but I can't stop listening to this, it's so beautifully musical. Huge kudos to the bass player, dude is so cool and filling up space perfectly. It's just 3 guys up there yet it's so full. 10/10

Not even close to Roy Buchanan 's version. Roy is the master, this guy is an amateur in comparison. Roy's band is better also. Look up Roy Buchanan/ Hey Joe/ Austin Texas.
Well Jimmy is more respected now than he was when he was playing. Rory was regularly voted the greatest at the time. No doubt he changed everything and a he had an immense talent. No one with any sense could say otherwise--he could play bass, rhythm and lead at the same time for goodness sake. But that doesn't mean you have to like everything he did. The band were awful. He would take off and they would get lost or do their own thing and it would sound a mess. They never finished together, and then there was all the nonsense playing with the teeth, behind the head etc, and playing hi means you don't always give a good performance- and it's really difficult to find a copy of him and the band playing well and together. So, no. Jimmy said, 'The blues is easy to play but hard to feel' or something similar and that says it all because really it's all about the feel here. Technically, he was probably miles better than anyone else and he wrote some really good stuff but the music he produced and the performances weren't always that good in my opinion.
No it's ignorance. Hey Joe, Little Wing, Red House, etc., Hendrix was having a conversation with the guitar. Pretty much any guitarist who covers these classics, clearly aims to one-up Hendrix on technical ability and in doing so, lose the emotion of the song. Kingfish puts on a fabulous show. I saw him open for Buddy Guy. Kingfish's vibrato is out of this world. His vibrato reminds me of Freddie King.
