more recs that they missed: - Epicenter - Grossman's Noshery - Goblin Bros - Sea Thai Bistro - the rural cemetery - Arlene Francis Center (live shows) - The California (live shows) - The Lost Church (live shows) - Fogbelt - The Barlow (a shopping/dining district that is a short drive away in the town of Sebastopol)
I moved to Santa Rosa in 1966; moved away in 2004 only because I could no longer afford it. I loved all of Sonoma County---the best place I've ever lived! That even includes Disneyland, when I lived 4 miles away from there...went to school in Anaheim BEFORE Disney when it was beautiful Orange Groves. There are far more places of interest than only 14!
Boring? SANTA ROSA??? Nope. After 40 years living in nearby Sebastopol I moved away because it was no longer affordable for me. Even a short trip to visit is still a delight!
also every August, the county fair
(and other events at the fairgrounds throughout the year)
