I have a few things that I would put over a lot of things on this list I would add visiting Lincoln State Park. ( Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home) There's an Old village, a lake with a beach camping, & hiking. If you're going to visit Holiday world. It's right down the road. It's worth it. And with the turkey run trip I would add tubing/ kayaking down the sugarcreek. As well as - - thunder over Louisville ( you watch from the banks of Indiana ) huge air and fireworks show every April. - Newport Hill climb Old fashioned cars/ motorcycles drive up a hill and are timed. Along with vendors and shopping. - Indiana Beach theme park. Monticello, Indiana. Cool! Laid-back old school boardwalk theme park. Lots of roller coasters the most picturesque Park I've been to. Very unique. Must see. - exotic feline rescue center point, Indiana get up close two Lions tigers, cougar other small cats and fox. ( All rescues) - there are other show caves in Indiana Wyandotte cave, square boon caverns, Indiana caverns, And Blue spring caverns. - spring Mill State Park. - French lick/westbaden. Lots to do in the area. The old hotel , casino, indoor go-karting indoor water park and there's an animal Safari close by as well. - for women covered bridge festival. ( Shopping & food )

I do not think you have spent very much time in Vancouver. #1 is Lynn Canyon. It is a huge park, lots of trails, and a suspension bridge. The park is free. I have been to Capiliano 1 time. That was enough.

You probably could have mentioned other things. One glaring omission was the Santa Clarita Master Chorale, the premier auditioned choral ensemble in this valley (now in its 25th year) under the direction of Allan Petker. This group performs several concerts a year, contributes to local school music educational experiences and rivals the ability and professionalism of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Also, there are theatre groups here that showcase local talent, including Mission Opera.

History is what most of New England in general has to offer. It's only boring to those who don't want to open their mind and face the past. A replica of the La Amistad is in Mystic Seaport. While a few of the choices are typical museums, they are each fascinating. The Native American museum is mind opening. Traveling on the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat is anything like a museum. The nature center at Hammonasset is cool. Walking the salt marsh trails in Rocky Neck State Park is peaceful. Our beaches are sheltered in Long Island Sound so the waves aren't intimidating and the rip tide not as ferocious as open waters. Our pizza is the best bar none and fresh seafood is mouth watering right of the boats. The Capitol building in Hartford is one of the best looking. And the Old State House has constitutional history. Yes we have high taxes but we also have a high standard of living. The roads aren't horrible. Don't let a few disgruntled trolls spoil your opinion of a small but mighty state until you see us for yourself. I've lived here for more than 60 years and wouldn't live anywhere else. If you want to go to any of these attractions it's a simple day trip.
