I never buy new rather refurbished units. I have purchased a P3 P4 P4A and Mavic. All refurbished all with full new DJI warranty at a 40% savings. Not one complaint on any of these purchases and each came with new stickers and factory foam cases.
Do you think I could buy a m2 zoom?
Great tips. When I bought my Mavic pro on ebay I was kind of nervous but it went smooth.

I have purchased a refurb Mavic Pro from DJI last year and it looked like a brand new drone out of the box and I haven't had any issues with it. I've sold a few used drones on ebay, but haven't purchased any yet. Good video, I like how you compared buying a used drone to a used car.

The milage isn't always a true indicator. I have had a MP1, and Zoom and they all used the same DJI Go app so the milage is combined between the 2 drones. So I have very little flight time and usage on the zoom but a ton on the MP!. Over 34 hours of flight time. It shows the same thing for my Zoom when I really probably only have 6 to 8 hours of flight time on that drone.

I bought my Phantom 4 refurbished from DJI directly. According to their customer service refurbished is that it was returned within 7 days and all warranties and DJI care cover refurbished as it would a brand new so I got my Phantom 4 for 1/2 the price as a new one.
Good subject, wise words. DJI refurb is the best, but as you say I think a to face is the next best, especially showing the flight records. I’ve sold a Spark and a Mavic Air, but I look after stuff and both had remaining DJI warranty left .
For many used is their only option, all you said is a great help if only they come across you video 1st 👍

you know when buying a used phone, you can check the IMEI if its stolen or not and it gives lots of info about the phone. Is there some wat to check the drone if it's stolen or maybe a flyaway drone? Is there a website to check?
I bought a used P4 on Amazon. It had marks on the landing gear and the controller. Haven't had any issues. But this is some good info.

Similar to an auto purchase when the vehicle leaves the lot and physically touches the Street, it is now a Used Car.
Drones are the same. When it is Unboxed, it is declared Used even though never activated nor flown. The retailer can not resell it As New, per law, and must be relabled as Refurbished or Preowned. I purchased my first Phantom Refurbished from DJI through its Amazon store. The only problem was linking a non compatible smart (Android, argh) device.

This particular post is really helpful for me as I am looking to sell my Spark - especially the flight record part. Question: is it possible to reset the Spark to factory default so that I am no longer associated with that drone after it is off my hands?

Hey man. I saw a phantom 4 on amazon below $700 and all P4 prices are $700 above. Can u pls make a video of that.
1st tip should have been "Buy Dobo's Drone" HAHAHA. I am with you on not buying a used drone unless I know the seller. New drones come with that off the shelf warranty that used ones only come with a verbal "Well it worked the last time I flew it"

@@billykyle I haven’t picked it up because I’m hesitant because he won’t fly it for a test flight for me. He’s saying because of COVID he just want to do the transaction and leave so I’m hesitant in purchasing. I have never flown or even seem a Mavic Pro but always wanted one so I really don’t know anything. I could be tricked and there might be something wrong with the gimble or focusing problem? Just not trying to lose 450 like that. lol. I asked him how many hours are on it and he said he would get me back. I’ll update you tomorrow if I do get it. Thanks

Buy at your own risk. If you can afford to lose the money you spent, without going ballistic if it turns out to be a lemon, don't buy it.
