What stood out for me this week was how BBC, CNN and aljazeera managed to not broadcast the 3 days BRICS summit where 60 heads of countries had gathered. That stood out for me. Just two days ago, the three stations broadcasted all day, the meeting of Joe Biden and president of south Korea and that of Japan. The whole day, they told us of the meeting of three people and failed to tell us of the entire world that was meeting in South Africa. That opened a new perspective for me about the west and western media, it was a new low.

Yes, what they accomplish? Nothing, sure the increased it membership and no trade agreements in fact. On the other America created NAFTA current America has put in 6 oil and gas pipelines into Mexico with another 3 oil and gas pipeline being built as we speak. But the American media will not talk about it. Right now America, Canada, and Mexico is 1/3 of entire world economy and CNBC will not tell you what is happening. But with BRICS nothing is happening many of the original BRICS members are now feuding with one another.

    • @mandarinandthetenrings2201

In fact, China has no oil and gas pipelines that is operation from Russia. India as no plans for any oil and gas pipelines from any country. And China shut down the BRICS bank where they said they will be no BRICS currency.

It just a photo op where countries don't do anything. Now the do pat themselves on the back and say they are going to challenge the G7 countries, but really do nothing to challenge them.

@@mandarinandthetenrings2201 , I don think BRICS is there to challenge the G7, I think they just want to sit and discuss matters that affect the global south and solve issues that affect the global south. China has been building a lot of infrastructure in the global south, almost singlehandedly industrializing the global south. With the BRICS bank, they are making strides to solve the financial issues for global south countries that do not meet the standards of the world bank and the IMF. There is many more things to talk about on the BRICS front,

Well it's time for the BRICS- New World Order to come up with a default reserve currency or simply go back to gold as the reserve. It will be too chaotic for each country to trade in their respective currencies with the daily change in exchange rates.

BRICS seeks to create a new currency, considering gold's historical role as a store of value and medium of exchange. However, the functionality and acceptance of a gold-backed currency in the current global financial system are uncertain. Creating a new currency requires careful consideration of economic, political, and logistical factors.

    • @usieey
      @usieey ปีที่แล้ว +3

The discussions and proposals surrounding BRICS nations' potential use of gold are intriguing. People choose to buy gold for various reasons, such as its historical role as a store of value and medium of exchange, its potential as a hedge against inflation or currency devaluation, and its relative scarcity compared to other commodities. Gold also offers diversification benefits to investment portfolios due to its low correlation with stocks and bonds. However, investing in gold carries risks and may not be suitable for everyone. Investors should carefully evaluate their objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situation before deciding.

No, they haven't. China has, sure, but China's also in the position of benefiting from the usurpation of America's hegemony and it's inevitable leading role in (increasingly) reshaping global power relations. The rest of the BRICS, both the actual BRICS and these new admittees, have been structurally and systemically destabilized and underinvested in for the purpose of explicitly leaving them underdeveloped and beholden to America's asymmetrical military-industrial, security, and corporate apparatuses. The fact the BRICS is expanding is specifically so as to ensure these countries have a greater than zero chance of actually industrializing, modernizing, and escaping the shackle's of American and European imperialism, and actually becoming fully developed, fully industrialized countries (except, y'know, without "Westernization" being a prerequisite that places itself before the cart of industrialization).
The three decades to come will see these countries truly emerge -- out from under America's heel and boot.

BRICS currency is to replace the free printing Fiat money, i.e. USD, UK pounds, Euro, Yen, Yuan, Rupee, etc. as the global trade currency. It will be based on each country's commodity, proven reserves and products. It may be based on 1 gram of gold, say Gold Gram, GG, upon issuance by the BRICS main counsel in a digital form. There will be representatives of BRICS counsel in each member country. Then the local government will provide bases of commodities, reserves, products, produces, etc. physically tradable items, in a digital networks which connect the BRICS counsel, local major companies / business, and government. So each member country will be tagged as owning X amount of GG on the day it join the BRICS trade networks. Daily changes, computing and verification's will be done through the digital networks.
GG will ONLY be used in global trades, local currency still being used by the people locally. If the local printer created too much local Fiat money, but only have limited amount of certified GG, then it chokes itself by NOT be able to export or import. 🧐🤔🤨😉😎

Good question Nick: "can BRICS reshape world's political and economic architecture ?".
I am afraid that first BRICS has to demonstrate that it can STIMULATE trade between members, second; that trading can be effected without the use (directly or indirectly) of US dollars.
If these two premises are fulfilled, I think that it is certainly possible.
For start, it is clear that member's political systems are not an issue at all, and this is, perhaps, the BEST OMEN...
If BRICS does not work, something else will be invented because this is a GLOBAL IRREVERSIBLE TREND, a BRICK or a BRICKLESS world is solidly evolving towards MULTIPOLARITY, the best proof is Guterres getting nervous and complaining at the utter irrelevance of the New York based UN LOL.

I think this is just another propaganda China and Russia love doing to make themselves look important. Which currency are they going to use? Will the Saudi Arabia and UAE agree to devalue their currency or maintain their currency like the way UK did?
When it comes to environmental protection, every country has to do their part. Let's stop blaming others for our wrong decision.
In conclusion, BRICS is formed to blame others for their problems, not provide solutions.
