    Christ... In times of peace, it's pretty hard to get any more dystopian than a school-issued bullet proof plate as a "welcome to high school" gift and a nursery rhyme detailing what to do during a mass shooting... That's the kind of stuff you only see in post-apocalyptic movies!

      The elites don't see it as failing. They need those indoctrination camps called schools to keep up their facade and lies. School shootings doesn't bother them in the slightest, another way for population control and to instill fear so that we look to them for the answer. Smh, these school shootings are becoming more and more common place and that makes no sense for a race that's supposed to be improving, seems more like the poor are in a state of intellectual and mental regression, from all of the brainwashing. We don't need to turn to the gov for help, with today's tech everyone can homeschool their child and give them a 100% better education than the public schools can.

      Honestly though, you should be afraid for your life anywhere and everywhere. And while I do agree that the number of school shootings is intolerable and has to be efficiently put to an end, I don't see how school is anymore of an exception for being a danger zone. You can get got (shot, attacked, kidnapped, raped, etc) any public and even private place. Schools are just more effective for shooters cause of high civilian count and high media attention.

      It's all security theater. If they really wanted to be ready, the school should take 5-10 students from each class and train them how to shoot as part of defense line for their class. Anything that tries to go inside their class during "Pressure Time" dies in a volley.

    • @user8745
      @user8745 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hakuraita ok but would those students have to carry guns to school? If they don’t have guns on them then teaching them how to shot wouldn’t make a difference. And 5-10 students all shooting at a shooter would make it very likely for some friendly fire.

      It's easy to blame an inanimate object for how a person uses it. Some of these kids are picked on and bullied and the schools just kick them out when they act up instead of finding out why they do so. If you want change, the system providing the education must change. Mental health is just as important as making sure guns stay out of the hands of maniacs.

How about a law that requires gun owners to register their weapons? A law that requires gun owners to keep their weapons locked when not in use? A safety that scans the fingerprint of the rightful owner? A law that slows down re-loading mechanisms of non-military weapons? A tag that makes high-capacity weapons easy to screen for?

      Robust Titan
      I would like to encourage you in this direction. The world needs more people who feel the urge to fix what’s broken, who want to make changes for the good of all, who are passionate about other people. When I was in high school, I knew a guy who was elected mayor of his small town when he was 18 years old. Start local, see how it goes, work your way up. While you’re in college, get involved with a candidate or a ballot measure that reflects your values and put some of your time into making phone calls or knocking on doors or passing out literature. Spend time at the campaign headquarters as a volunteer. This will give you the opportunity to find out if you really want that to be your path, and to make some connections and contacts if it is. And if it turns out that you don’t want to take that road, you’ve still done some good and can keep contributing in a smaller way.
      Good luck to you, Robust Titan!

    • @randymiller3918

      There is only one interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. It is to allow the citizens the right to keep weapons capable of fighting government if needed.

    • @jasonstormsong4940
      @jasonstormsong4940 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Randy Miller An amendment that was made with only the weapons of that era in mind, much like the electoral college, the 2nd amendment most likely needs tweaking.

    • @randymiller3918
      @randymiller3918 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it was made knowing that governments turn tyrannical. It is based on the idea that each person is free to do as they please as long as they do not take the freedoms of others. What tweaks would you want to the 2nd? And the electoral college was put in place for a reason. It is because we are a republic and they knew that absolute democracy is mob rule and tyranny. They knew that the majority, if allowed, would always vote to take from the minority.

    • @randymiller3918
      @randymiller3918 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, the "weapon of the time" argument is nonsense. Does that mean freedom of speech was only for pen and paper? They knew there would be advancements in weapons. They even said that it was OK for a private citizen to own a cannon to protect their ships. The puckle gun could fire rapidly and they knew of its existence.

    • @randymiller3918
      @randymiller3918 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can afford those things sure. Except nukes. I do not think governments should have nukes. Se that is the thing. One of the 1st principles of logic is that of consistency. If you say that one person is allowed to do something then you must say it is OK for all people. If you are asking for different rules for different people you are asking for tyranny.

      It really depends where the shooter is in relation to you. They usually won't go through the effort of kicking down locked doors, unless they're looking for a specific target. So running away down a hallway instead of hiding in a locked room probably would be more dangerous if you're too close to the shooter and not close enough to the exit.
      Tldr: don't settle on one strategy, adjust accordingly.

      I'm a college educator. Our college has a 3 step plan: 1) get out, but only if possible (the last thing you want is to run directly into a shooter), 2) lockdown if you can't get out, and 3) attack if a shooter gets to you and your class (understanding some will be hurt, but that 20 fighting 1 has a better chance than asking to be spared).

Democrats have lost their way they really have one thing I can say about the Republican Party as diluted as people think they might be, they stand for something. it might be the wrong thing on a moral level but at least they stand for something. I mean I'm a registered independent I will always be a registered independent because I have no allegiance to either party. Because honestly neither side has does not believe in the people anymore they care about is what lines their pockets do I admit that there are some people in Congress who actually are for the people? yes I am not denying that. We have reached a point where people need to come up for ways to protect the kids in schools from shooters is just wrong...it should be a place of study and fun..not a place of fear. The kids that were getting the bullet proof plates is like being told "here there will be a shooting this year so better have it ready" and it's something kids don't need to worry about...smh

I suggest you watch a refute by a youtuber named shaun on the matter,the natives suffered inhumane things. and europeans were boinling each other to death for believing in a different sect of christianity and burning witches,don't act all high and mighty,all sivilisations have gone through dark times,doesn't make what the europeans did any less inhumane (and I know they're not the only ones who've done cruel things,but don't try to justify it)

      Idk half of what you're talking about. Germ theory wasn't known then. People believed sickness was spread by evil spirits. Disease killed most natives before they even saw Europeans. Entire villages went extinct. Disease traveled faster than people. That's where the phrase manifest destiny comes. Europeans were discovering beautiful fertile empty land but the original inhabitants died years prior. They would often find abandoned villages.

    As a kid I remember fire drills . In Ohio we had a drill ( can't remember if it was earthquake or some cold war drill) where you were supposed to hide underneath your desk!! And now we are resorting to this!!!!

      Lol... Childish Gambino's song should have been titled "This is 'Murica" instead. America is the "land of the free and the home of the brave." Cowardly moves like that don't deserve an A.

    I remember the columbine shooting when I stayed with friends in Louisiana and how scared there kids where to go to school after that.
    Now it is normal it seams and a part of life. I’m so glad we don’t live in the states. My daughter and son in law don’t have to be stressed when there children are at school and here children can enjoy there school time without looking over there shoulder thinking not if but when they are going to be the victim of a school shooting.
