- This is a neat documentary on Cryonics taken from a show called Modern Marvels Deep Freeze. This is only the cryonics section of the show, there was another segment where they un-froze organs and used them with no problems.
Future technology would likely be able to bring some of these people back to life, but where is the guarantee that these pods or even the company will be around and working 100+ years from now? What happens if the company shuts down?
Nothing has a guarantee , but if there is even a chance it can work.. A chance in a million , might as well give it a shot.

I love Modern Marvels. Too bad they haven't made any new episodes.
How can we be sure they're going to not discard our bodies frozen after long, because surely in for a long time frozen bodies can corrupt causing irreversible injuries, and with no chance of resuscitation, Am i wrong ?

That's what I want to know. If it makes all the neural pathways in your brain dead ends, then even if they regenerate your brain with nanotechnology, you might not be you, or you would but you wouldn't remember anything.

It will never be possible to bring any of these people back. I do believe that Nanotechnology will be possible in the far future but only to treat a person who is alive not to resurrect the dead and that is what all those people in those dewars are dead and they will never be back. I feel so sorry for the families that have hopes they will see there loved ones again. Alcor should be ashamed of themselves. I've come to the conclusion that there no closer to bringing someone back than they were 30 years ago. Do the right thing Alcor just stop .
