- song Resonance has become the soundtrack for old video game consoles such as NES, Sega Mega Drive, SNES and others. This would be approximately how a song would sound in 1bit - 4bit - 8bit - 16bit - 64bit.
#resonance #home #8bit #sega #nes #remix
1bit is just a damn QR code
Always has been
but why does it resolve to a url?
As am I
😂😂😂
It would be crazy if you were able to translate it from this song into a link/qr code and then if you go to where this song directs you, it takes you to someone's upload (probably electric gems) of resonance - HOME
Dude 8 bit is insane. Would kill for a full version.
Well, I need someone to take care of my neighbour😏
@@finnattalp6190 its good, but this vid has a whole other vibe
Type in the search bar Home Resonance "8bit", you should get what you need
if press to exit makes a full version i would be happy for the first time
Maybe I'll contribute to the Patreon and will see what I can do
Edit: Contributed. Now we wait...
We need a full version of 8 bit!
there is actually already a Version of a 8 bit Remix! Its from "@PROJECT_SMASH" and is called "Home-Resonance (8bit remix)
Yet different
HOME - Resonance [8-BIT REMIX]

This sounds a lot better, but still it's different from this version.

The 4 bit version makes my brain light up
I like 4 bit too
what a beautiful way to put it
Fr it caught me after hearing the 1 bit
Same here. I couldn't explain it, so looked at it on a spectrum analyzer and it's not actually single notes but a major cord of three notes with the base five ocaves lower and the upper two repeated an octave higher. That gives it the warm sound.
@@troyl44maybe for an amoeba
16 bit goes hard
Sounds like the comedown of a trip on a hill looking down on the city while time flows by
@@jakefox3677 sonic stage
Sounds somewhat like Va11-Hall-A
Sounds like YMF262/ESFM FM synth
64 bit sounds like a pokemon mystery dungeon track
Glad I wasn't the only one that recognized this
I wouldn’t be surprised if a soundfont from Pokémon mystery dungeon was used
sounds like Super Mario *64* to me
nah it sounds like sm64 soundfont
"It is SUPER MARIO 64!"
4 bit is my favorite, but the sign that this whole video (1 bit excluded, let's just be real) is awesome is that comments are split between every version on which is people's favorite
its even more impressive that home was able to make something that sounds so good in so many different forms, whether in various bit versions, or remixes
@@somedude8504not as impressive as you’d think. This bit is an arpeggio over a baseline
1 bit is my favourite, and I'm not even joking
Holy shit. That 4 bit is perfect.
I agree
Sounds bad 8 bit much better
@@Qwert-rl4qe highly subjective.. 4 sounds better to me
Both are great imo
@@fleecefoxes6471 nuh uh, its 4 bit but it has like 3 tracks in total making it sound shallow. If it had more tracks, it would sound better.
the 8 and 64 is so beautiful
Did my boy 16 dirty with this comment
resonance is already perceived as a song that brings back feelings of nostalgia, and the 4bit version brings a tech-specific nostalgia in (like ringtones from flip phones), would love full versions of these
YEAH! I thought of a nokia ringtone!
64 bit genuinley sounds like a song from hotline miami
No it doesn't! But it does sounds good!
@@duppy404In reality sounds bro Hotline Miami in dialogues sometimes use chill musics
@@artursales259 Exactly, literally any of Beard's levels in Hotline Miami 2 have music like that. They're not even dialogue portions, the music is just more laid back.
@@FishDrinkLightGreen Thanks for the addition bro, I didn't remember that
@@duppy404you seem insufferable
That 64 bit with the Super Mario 64 sound font sounds so chill!
It's not Mario 64 sound font, it's literally just what 64 bit soundcards were able to do, so basically every games that used that same system
@@Nowkoreto This is definitely pulling from the Super Mario 64 soundfont. The 64 used short samples for it's instruments and sequenced them in realtime with it's CPU, but the SNES and NES could also do it, they just didn't have the space to do it with all instruments like many titles on the 64.
please learn the difference between its and it's
Bro the 4 bit audio is insane 😵💫
1 bit goes hard
Fr
The only person brave enough to say it
It tickles my brain cell.
0:05 the 4 bit track has dragged me back to this vid like 5 times now, might as well give myself a tiny shortcut to get there lol.
4 bit just feels the most…serene. Possibly the most nostalgic, but it just simply feels so calm snd desolate, but in a good way.
4bit feels like nokia ringtone
the change from 8bit to 16 bit is actually GOATED
They always skip 32 bit
Not much difference between 32 and 64 except a bit more clarity
but 32 is my favorite number
Nintendo did...
It goes 1 8 16 64 128 256 etc
32X FTW!
8 bit Resonance is the cool bother outta all of it siblings
4 bit so warm…
4 bit tickles my brain, 8 bit scratches it. I’m so in love with both of them.
Need a full version of each

8 bit is so good
this is a relaxing song to listen to while reading or drawing
For real, i am actually search a math formula and it works
I usually listen to it while just cruising around at night it's great for it
Craaaazzzy song to listen to on dmt tho 😮
Ima be real. 4 bit goes unreasonably hard in a very distinct calm way
I'm going to say this, even if it might sound a bit cheesy, but I genuinely love this track. It holds a special place for me and brings back nostalgic memories. The use of retro sounds adds a charming touch to the overall composition, creating a delightful reflection on life.
At the beginning of the track, it feels somewhat chaotic and eerie, capturing the essence of our early stages of existence. However, as the video progresses, you begin to uncover the true essence of the music. It's simple yet captivating, reminiscent of the innocence of our childhood.
As the video unfolds further, the complexity increases, and it becomes challenging to distinguish the individual components of the music, unlike before. This shift can be seen as a representation of our adolescent years, a time when life becomes more intricate and overwhelming.
Yet, as the video approaches its final moments, you realize the profound beauty that lies within, despite its complexity, distinctiveness, and the initial sense of being overwhelmed. It symbolizes the ultimate understanding of life-to embrace and enjoy it fully.
It's such a masterpiece, I'm only 25, and I heard this track for the first time when i was maybe 18, but every time since then this melody gives me such a strong feelings around nostalgia, chill and pure sadness, I barely can hold my tear.
That was trully poetic my man
@esotericoutcast641 So beatiful reflection my friend 🌙
It's so simple, yet so complex. True universal specificity.
The memories, yes. Spring 2k16 when i herd this song.

I would pay money for full versions.
even of the 1 bit?
I subscribed to the patreon and sent a message... hopefully full versions will be uploaded!
Every next version feels like listening to the original track for the first time again.
fun fact all music young people have probably encountered is 16bit

32 bit goes hard af
I think the others (besides 1) are the most interesting but 4 I think captures nostalgia the best which is kinda what the whole song is about I think.
I love the transition from 4bit to 8bit this is fire 🔥
Everything from 8-bot on is fire.
Broooo it'd be awesome if you could put the full versions of each on your Patreon, I'd definitely join just for these!!

8bit and the 16 bit version definitely slap! I'd hear both of those on repeat
8 bit started healing my soul 😢
We must have a full version of the 8-bit version; I know there are other versions out there but this one just hits different.
4 bits sounds like portal
Very impressed with all these!
Honored to say I worked with computers with 8 and 16bit onwards. Tech evolved on steroids thereafter.
4-bit is a whole chord progression. Amazing!!!
“ You take some chocolate and some lobsters and some eggs and some pie, then you mix it in your body, shit it all out ”

It speaks volumes about the song's quality when you can reduce it to 4 bit and it still sounds fantastic.

8 and 4 bit are genuinely peak, I would do anything for a full release

Huh, this image is nearly the same as my phone background. Just missing a line from the tip of the rock to the base of the tree, a dent between the two rightmost leaves and the others, and the sun having more dark lines.
holy crap this hits in 4 and 8
somebody that kind of understands what psg and fm is
I literally grew up with the bit *1986*. We’ve seen so much together 😢
8 bit is the sweet spot.
No one mentions the 1 bit, because it sounds like somebody's N64 got blown up and they tried playing music on it still
Shows a lack of effort. 1 Bit would be PC-Speaker type blips and beeps, the kinds present on early computer games like Maniac Mansion and Secret of Monkey Island. They never get it right

4 bit cozy
Damn, now that's just perfection
Just to get ahead of some misunderstandings, 16bit is plenty for representing a completely realistic sound. CDs use 16bit audio, basically all audio you hear will be 16bit.
The next usual step up is 24bit, which is mostly used in music production so that when mastering audio (down to 16bit) they have a bit more wiggle room for editing. 64bit is not a thing, maybe for science stuff but not for music. It's just wasted data resolution that humans can't hear.
Case and point, this very video uses 16bit audio. The 64bit is literally meaningless.
It's crazy how much better the 8bit version is compared to the 16 and 64!
It’s crazy how much you’re wrong
16 bit goes fucking nuts
16 Bit is where my heart is
