I found this music while my little brother was listening to it and he told me it was music related to Amiga music correct me if I'm wrong. I got hooked to the beat when I first listened to it.
@@sillyriver4486well, in a way. its a tracker song, which originates on the amiga, but this specific song was made in an ms-dos machine, with a lot more processing power than an amiga.

I remember this and Headlights by Dispatch when I used to play Payback 1 on my dad’s iPhone in elementary. Hard to believe I’m halfway through university rn…
This module file was initially not supposed to be released. Ten years after the release of the MP3 version, radix was kind enough to provide the original XM file. It was not optimized and contains lots of unused samples - hence the size.
I love your songs, especialy this song, pocketpeople, a shogun named paul, Pillow Dance, Locus Fruit, leoll, Papilio, and Rubik ^_^ , all realy good songs :D
hello guys i just dicovered this song earlier today and i gotta say, it absolutley blew me away. radix/rymdlego has some extreme talent and it really shows here. i know im a bit late for the party (25 years to be exact), but still, this has to be my favourite tracker song of all time.
Hey Radix. Could you upload a high-quality version of "Realize" from the "Replay - Fall Equals Winter" demo, please ? :3 The demo has a 128kbit but I was looking for either a .flac or 320kbit mp3. Thanks!
I downloaded the .XM file from ModArchive. I have to say, this is a strange little piece of music. The .XM has all sorts of unused samples in it and there are two samples that say things like, "Remember that I love you" and "I feel silly now, I'm gonna go". Weird.
great song! how did you manage to get the sound working in stereo in dosbox? When I play my old xm files or mod files it's not in stereo :( I tried all soundblaster settings in dosbox without any result.
Sound a bit like new age like for example "Deep Forrest" (search: Deep Forest 1992 (Sound Enhanced) High Quality) although mixed in with some synths (sounds a bit slow pop trance-y, just more relaxed and slower version, to me perhaps) which was also popular at the time ) Best I could find is: Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone Also the drums are a bit reminiscent of Boards of Canada. The chopped vocal is a bit similar to Casino Versus Japan's "Buried " song. Maybe he heard some of these at the time. All in all, hard to tell the genre, I think its a combination of/influenced by a few genres popular in the midish-late 90's. Its good song, very nostalgic, maybe it was even with its dreamy vibes and bittersweet simple melody: Hopeful and sad at the same time, digital and organic. Still better than 2024 lmao
Just spent a good 15 hours searching for this song, very happy to hear it again for the first time in probably over a decade.

Agreed.

I'm completely convinced I've listened to this 150+ times
oh, I didn't know that. Well the tune is more than ten years old now, I consider it public domain :)
Ah. Radix himself :).
Great job on "Yuki Satellites" !
Woahhh this is trippy. A comment from over ten bloody years ago and the only reply is from two weeks ago. We are making history.

Can't believe this music is over 23 years old. Fuck where IS THE TIME GOING?
This song brings back good memories from my childhood. Still love it just as much as I did back then.
Okay this is an amazing song but who made it? And where can I buy the album??

it's actually free on modarchive.org
This sounds really nice, but listening to it while reading these very old comments also makes me feel sad...💫🌠
This is charming tune, I had hard time believing it is actually from '99.
I also enjoy counting stars, emelie and purplepond. Great tracks.
OMG how did i missed this gem in my childhood ? It is Stellar ! Love the main chime theme.
still a banger in 2023
Yep
still a banger in 2024
Radix... one of the greatest tracker artists. Always loved "I realized" but your other tracks are priceless too!
That's amazing .. what an amazing effort back there in 90's to put everything togeather on the tracker program, really respect
they asked for permission to use the track about three years ago. I had simply forgotten. It is all good.
There was a Jontron ytpmv edit of this.... I can't find it anymore... :'(
It was so beautiful.
YES, this one was a classic. I had no idea it was still a tracked piece and not VSTs :o
Oh 90s, this track makes me almost teary.
I've always loved this track and seem to rediscover it every couple of years - awesome work!
even after 15 years still sound good to me. Do you still do some music? Any website or blog? Happy new year 2014
Hey man, yes I still make music. Check out www.mosaik.se

이 음악을 유튜브에서 듣게 되어서 감동입니다.
@anthony62490 The "remember that I love you" sample is definitely used at about 2:23 in the version of the XM on ModArchive.
I love thissong so much.
Shame payback is no longer on the appstore...
very nice! Thank you!
Awesome track, one of my all time favorites.
Absolutely amazing
Enough to make my 486 cry for more RAM.
How much RAM does it have and which 486 CPU is it exactly? I'm running a DX4-100 system with 40 MB RAM.
Alexander Feld DX2-66 with 16mbs ram. Impulse tracker can't load the song, as it runs out of memory with the samples.
Sadness
Time for a memory upgrade :)
AFAIK, some long samples can be right trimmed after the loop
I've had this and Counting Stars on every mp3 player i've ever owned since high school. Thank you for creating these timeless tunes

another pro would be "song rendered in real-time, not compressed by a codec or something", when you use the original module music of course.

Sounds like Trance combined with "Spaceman". I love this tune! But on which channel is the main melody programmed?
I play this along with Feng Shui Schematics. It saves me on the road and keeps me from speeding, lol. I dub Radix the master of Chiptune Chillhop.

@anthony62490 I guess the XM is sort of an extended version/beta version of the final mix that was released as FLAC/MP3. Or something.
Still hack to this, even today.
