@@lakelimbo Story is about a battle mech that got banned during a futuristic war that had the capacity to immobilize human targets by messing with their brains. Those who survive, are forever altered, and live for combat and war.
@@redield21 i think this song makes me wanna play in multiplayer Cooperative mode in Doomsday Engine JDoom Resource pack with model Abbspack Replacement models like items and weapons with/without hud replacements
Was just going through some of my old music library and came across my collection of Skaven tracks. LMS is exactly where I first listened to him, and remember playing a number of matches listening to this track. Makes me get all nostalgic. lol
That's a pretty wild story attached to the theme. A battle mech capable of forcefully re-wiring enemy soldiers' brains to immobilize them, then shoot them dead. And those who survived, get off on warfare after that.
6:34 This sounds like this would be the 'pinch' variant of the track. Like, for example, how Sonic Advance 2 had variations of the boss themes when you were down to the last few hits against Eggman.
The fact that it's originally a 929kb tracker song gives me chills.
Peter was my personal inspiration. I even sent him couple of my songs and got his feedback. :) Nice to hear it now in 2024 )
Skaven is a top tier composer. My favorite work of his is for Bejeweled 2. This track, I have never heard before, and is badass!
"Hidden patterns" are included at the end of the song. Starting 5:37
The boy was a musical genius.
A MUSICAL GENIUS!!
and still is
One of Skavens best songs...
Hot DAMN I love those signature bass sounds from that era.
Holy shit this tune is awesome. With every his song I listen to my respect for Skaven grows.
Despite being another epoch, this tune doesn't lose their strength and a bunch of MOD tunes too
Skaven = Peter Hajba = cool finnish guy.
Nurgle = Warp cannom
Simply stunning ;)
It's really sad knowing the actual story.
But the guitar is just too good to not listen to this
story?
@@lakelimbo It's in the beginning before the song loads

I'm wondering if Syrsa was inspired by Skaven also. Some awesome exotic mix of ambient, rock and techno, like it.
Quite a Frank Klepacki - Command & Conquer vibe.
Definitely! I am surprised not many recognize that similarity in style.
I just came here to say this. Very strong feelings in that vein.
@@heimdall2061 Same here!
OMG i loved this song for years even use it in my youtube channel weapon animation video! Amazing!
Cool :) I really like this track. When I played Unreal Tournament this track was included in The City][ addon map :) Regards
Hands down the best forking beat and timing of beat, techno and other crap complete flawless performance
Wish Skaven actually did something with the pattern at 7:46, it sounds sick!
Amazing track! Sounds like red alert :)
awesome
wow!
That story is amazing.
Probably the best song out of Doom 3: Last Man Standing.
XmXFLUXmX2 lol i was thinking on lms when i was listened this
Battletoads vibes as well in places...

Your forces are under attack.
BATTLECRUSER OPERATIONAL
I love that about tracker music, especially with Unreal & UT99's music!
it's epic!
This sounds like it would fit the C&C terbium sun OST's really good.
Para ser del '98 es algo genial, y de Skaven, uff, mucho mejor
Quite the change at order 15 (2:55). All hell breaks lose.
Like grabbing the quad damage powerup in Quake and just letting loose.
Sounds kinda like Unreal.

Great song! However, I can't stop laughing at the repeated "Doodoo" at the beginning... 😅
Didn't hear doodoo 🤔
@@jyothishkumar3098It's not a sound, look at the scrolling text
This tune reminds of Battletoads... Just sounds like something David Wise would write for Battletoads.

Better than average to good composers who use expensive VSTs to do their thing.
KKND ?
Holy shits that sounds like a kmfdm song
7:46 name?
Poor guy stubbed his toe during this
