Phones now shoot better videos than these point and shoot cameras. But. the b500 has a better sensor, zooming capabilities and the videos and the auto focus is really good for dance or any videos.

Videos shot using nikom b500 are pretty good. You have to zoom in to our face and then focus. The blur will not be as good as a dslr but it's a decent camera.
Obviously sx540 hs , it has full manual control like DSLR, more focal length and better image processor. It has the same Digic 6 processor as in expensive Canon EOS 80D.

I bought the camera from a local shop and the price was same 15k for all colours. The demand for a particular colour is high so thr cost is high on online. Look colour doesn't matter it's how you click a photo. So go for the lesser priced body colour.

If you want to use a camera for professional purpose like travel photography or wedding photography then buy a dslr camera. As you mentioned that you will hardly use it 5 times a year. I will recommend Nikon b500. Still it's upto you if you can afford a 40 thousand rupees camera, you can buy a dslr.

There is a flash on and off button somewhere beside the arrow keys. If you are clicking a photo in automatic mode, then the flash will be turned on automatically.

Unfortunately there is no microphone input option. You have to record audio with an external microphone like zoom h1.
