What is outstanding about your vlogs Rebecca? That’s easy to answer, they are full of natural warmth and charm, diverse in nature and full of info! Heart melting moment from mum, “ I’m out with my daughter, what more could I want” absolutely priceless!❤️ You could feel that!! You’re a joy to your family and a joy to us too! J&M XX

Loved it! We played the Sheffield Fiesta Club many moons ago. The City Centre was SO different then. Loved the art centre! Thank you, we loved watching this one! 🌲
Can't believe how quiet the Christmas market was , Becky. The Christmas market here in sunny Manchester seems to be busy every day. Loved your walk around Sheffield . Used rto visit Sheffield regularly when I lived in Barnsley over 40 years ago. It looks a bit different now ! Your mum seems like such a lovely person. Her naming all the flowers reminded me of my mum who used to do the same whenever we saw a garden. Great vlog thanks for posting.
I went to the market in Manchester with Mark and Edward but didn't vlog it, we had a fab time it was so different to Sheffield, it was absolutely buzzing! X
Loved your visit to Sheffield Becky. I love a department store as it's like being a kid again and having a treat. I'm glad your mam A.K.A. Monty enjoyed her day.😊
Hi Becky nice to see you and your lovely mum out and about that turkey dinner was megga! Ioving the build up to Christmas John in stow on the wold Cotswolds x
Like you I recently discovered those wonderful courtyards. I went to the Christmas market at the weekend and it was a lot busier. Thanks for another great vlog 👍
Ahhh really enjoyed seeing you with your lovely mum....I haven't been to Sheffield for a long tome. But you showed me new areas ...its also nice Atkinsons store , still love shops like that. When I was young I would visit Walshes for tea, (silver service) no longer going 😢, models would go about modelling garments. Wonderful times ❤
Yes did enjoy your trip round Sheffield which I've never visited. Thanks for explaining about it's regeneration, hope more people come to the market after dark.
Lovely video Becky. Great to see mum again. I must check out that Atkinsons store. I only live down the road in Doncaster so not far to travel! We had three stores like that here but all gone now. Keep safe and well and a Happy Christmas to you and your family.
Lovely trip out with your mum.She really knows her gardening. Hope mum and dad are coming over at christmas 🎄 Have you got all of Edwards presents 🎁 l agree Christmas has an American feel with candy canes and fancy cookies and Christmas Eve boxes -too near to the big day.Good to see different ideas in some shops art work along side special drinks and food.Very quiet, but easier to get around 🎉🎉🎉🎉
She is so smart when it comes to gardening! I'm a little behind with shopping this year but slowly getting there, I do have a house full of family at Christmas which were all looking forward to. X
As a Sheffielder, now living ‘down south’ the City centre looks well worth a visit, Atkinsons was always my favourite department store, - especially now it’s a Barber stockist ! Such a shame that John Lewis quit the City. A very enjoyable, well filmed and presented video. I have subscribed. 👍🦉
Thank you for taking us around the shops what a shame all the independent shopping stores have gone around my area I use to love looking around them and the personal touch the staff gave just like are you being served . It's Lovely spending time with your mum 🌹🐈Xxxx

I hope the hipsters won't begrudge me this bit of nostalgia. But I miss Sainsbury's being inside Atkinsons and going up that escalator and getting a whiff of the lovely in-store bakery on the way up. 👍

Another great vlog Becky . I live in Sheffield and when I am in the town centre I do like to nip in Atkinson's for a coffee and a look round and I am early fortys . Great to see you and your mum out shopping. That bar that you said you visited I know you said the service was not good but how was the drinks ? I use to go to the hair dresses toni and guy at the end of the street .xx
New subscriber here, Sheffield has changed in the 20 years I’ve been here, some parts like Leah Yard I’ve never seen😂 Moved from Cambridge as more entertainment venues, sport available at the time, love Meadowhall although that’s changed, as mobility not as good now, safer to move around, thanks for showing town areas❤
Lived in Sheffield, from the age of 7 (18981), up till 3 years ago.... Sheffield isnt what it used to be, but i guess nowhere is nowadays... The Sheffield market looks so sad nowadays.... The big wheel doesnt even had a view anymore 🤷 Whats gong on ? Yeah, not for me any more.... Downer...😔
Thanks Becks! Like mother, like daughter - both kind and gentle! Enough of the buttering up! The UK is getting to be more like America with Santa and Reindeer statues on some house-roofs! Sheffield only on the up and not the up-and-up? For a minute there I thought you said: ‘f••• a duck!’ She’s been around James, again! Talking of James, where is he spending Christmas? In Benidorm, watching the girls on the mechanical bulls? I used to go to the roof-top bars in NYC - the martini prices were ridiculous! I once went to the largest carousel in the world in Wisconsin but they would not let me take a ride!
Lovely vlog I enjoyed it so much. I haven't been in Atkinsons for years and I believe I was with my Mum at the time. Sheffield has changed so much. I don't think we have an Atkinsons here in Nottinghamshire. Mind you even if we did I'm not well enough to go to it. Hugs xx
Fabulous video. Mum and daughter shopping, love it. So glad to see the regeneration, can you tell me what street the Henry Leah stamping shops are on, I would love to go there when we next visit. Happy Christmas Rebecca to you and your mum and all your family.🎄
Nice seeing your mum out and about with you , I think people sadly don't go out shopping much these day, they either don't have much money or they shop on line ,thank you for a walk around Sheffield xx
Thanks Becky - yet another interesting 'guided tour'. Just one thing... I played the 'art store bit' a couple of times and still don't understand what the two large objects on the floor are... I even turned the volume up but still no comprehension. 🙄
Ah sorry it was a little muffled, they were forms which would have molten metal poured in then stamped (I don't know the exact technical details 😆 but that's the gist of it) x
HOHOHO Becky , Santa here . I've got a lovely Brand new Lear Jet with extended fuel tanks and a Jet Pilot License course to go on . All you got to do is come to the North Pole to get it .its a bit chilly at the moment but iam sure it won't bother you that much ( hehehehe) .Joking aside my fellow Aviator , Nice Vlog and showing positivity about Sheffield for a Change . Merry Xmas to you . 😊
Great to see someone actually having something nice to say about Sheffield. Too many negative people pulling the city centre apart and jumping on the "blame the council for everything" bandwagon. The regeneration of town will take a while but it will get there. There's been some fantastic improvements. From the front of Midland Station, all the way up to Tudor Square, The Peace and Winter Gardens, Cambridge Street. There is one small thing that annoys me though and it is clearly visible on your vlog, it's chewing gum! Even the new paved areas are already covered in it! Why can't people just wrap it up and stick it in a bin? Anyway, rant over! 😁 Let's keep the Sheffield good vibes going and try to out shout the moaners! ❤
@@xyxox2229 Why are you being negative, she didn't ask you to watch the vlog. If you struggle financial, so do millions of others and those blessed with money will enjoy spending it, that's life.
Hi Beckie, Your mother is right, M&S has become so miserable. No saucer no biscuits and every small space they can find they squeeze in another table and chairs. They don't encourage you to stay any length of time now. I first noticed this when my wife and I visited York 2 years ago and I was shocked when I found that in M&S at home in Edinburgh not long from York. It's all money now! Not the customers. I do avoid M&S cafes nowadays. 😒😒😒
Glad you like it but once the Christmas market has gone it will go back to being dead The centre has no retail, it's just a residential housing estate Even crystal peaks has more retail
Oh that's a bit harsh we have some fab areas in Sheffield and yes some not so good but that true of any city 😔 a few months ago I would have agreed the City was rubbish but after going there last week it really seems like it is changing and it feels much nicer now! And there are so many people trying really hard to make their small business thrive, yeah there's still lots to do but it feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now! WAWAW 😃
Sheffield City Centre is continually on the way downhill, it's absolutely awful. It's terrible for seniors and people with mobility issues who aren't able to go all the way round to Arundel Gate to get their bus, where they would've been able to get one outside the Town Hall. The Council has driven a lot of people away from using the City Centre. Saturday afternoons used to be heaving from Castle Market to the Moor now it's dead most of the time. And who knows when damn Fargate will ever be done. 🤔💯
I think most cities are struggling now with so many retail parks and malls. It seems meadowhall has taken a lot of the bigger stores. It's looking really good in the centre. There's still a lot more building to do. I moved away for 20 years but I'm impressed how it's looking even if it's not the bustling but old looking place it used to be. They definitely need entice the big stores back to the centre.
Meadowhall has definitely added to the demise of Sheffield and probably Rotherham. It's a shame there isn't room for both like Manchester which still thrives with the Trafford centre x
Another great video Becky. Always interesting ❤❤ Great to see your Mum again 👍🤩

The market was a bit disappointing, it would have been so much better in the evening after a few mulled wines 😆
@BeckandBeyond agree Becky ... U been too York market or Leeds one brilliant x
Not a patch on Barnsley.
Its not great that many new units remain empty. Council got no idea when it comes to incentivising business to uptake.
