Pondicherry Trip Part 1 - Matrimandir & Sri Aurobindo Ashram

The Matrimandir (Temple of the Mother) is an edifice of spiritual significance for practitioners of integral yoga, in the centre of Auroville established by the Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. It is called Soul of the City and is situated in a large open space called Peace.
There is no entry fee to see the Matrimandir from the View point. However there are vehicle parking fees, bus fees and other fees for entry into various parts of the facility. The entry timings are from 09:00 am to 5:30 pm and all days.

The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a spiritual community located in Pondicherry, in the Indian territory of Puducherry. Camera is not allowed inside.
Footwear has to be kept at the building opposite to the Ashram before entry and mobile phones have to be switched off completely. The entry timings are from 08:00 am -11:30 am and 02:00 pm to 06:00 pm on all days. There is no entry fee.
