Jason, Your influence extends far beyond what you know. I have been following you from the beginning. I am 71 years old, and now, because of your excellent videos and the way you present them, I have decided to make my first trip to India. I may not have your energy, your knowledge, your daring or your tenacity, but within my limits, I think I will have a great time exploring some of the great sites in India. No, it's not because there are quite a few more picturesque than Puducherry. Udaipur, Munnar, Shillong, Dharmashala, Goa, Vishakapatnam, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Leh etc are fee of the cities which are better than Puducherry.

Your video is very interesting, but you have shown only the touristic part of the city that is 5/100 . Puducherry is exclusively a tamilian town and the black town after the "Grand Canal” is the other face of Puducherry, the real city . It is very popular , overcrowded , with intensif traffic and not at all clean !

Gandhi is not father of India he was loyal servant of the colonisers. in the both World Wars he told Indians to fight for the British. because of him about 200000 Indians lost life and more went missing. for him fighting violent war for the British is Indians duty but fighting for independence violently is wrong. whenever there were serious freedom movement in ind Gandhi told everyone to give up arms and do non violent movement. because of Netaji's INA and World War 2 when India got its freedom the distorted history written by the British which includes giving all the credit to Gandhi was made the official history and still it is taught in the the schools and colleges.
please read 'the collected works of Mahatma Gandhi' where you will find all his writings. you will know the reality of the man.

Hi Jason: Nice video of Pondicherry. You should get a longer term visa so you can travel to all parts of the country. The priest outside on the street was blessing the new vehicles (two wheelers), I think. Indians do a car puja (for cars or any new vehicle) so that the owner gets to enjoy the new vehicle without any accidents.

I think I’m going to look into the longer term visa for next time. 30 days just isn’t enough.
