Hi Sarah and Andrew when my father was a young boy[your grandfather Andrew] when walking over the hills to the mine each morning a man walking in front of him was silhouetted against the skyline. He always thought the man looked like a bottle of sauce -brown H.P. The story is in the book I wrote called 'The Turn of the Wheel' which relates the life of your grandfather when he was young. Great video as usual.

It was fantastic to ketchup (🙂) with all your peregrinations searching out the wonderful curiosities and oddities along the highways & byways of Cornwall. Particularly enjoyed the atmospheric St Cohan church (hope it gets rescued), King St Doniert's stones and their beautiful setting, and the quirky Roger's Tower castle folly & its views. This is exactly why I love Cornwall ~ thank you! :)

Hi both, back in the 80's I swam through Merlins Cave with my Golden Retriever, His name was Bimbo (after the Jim Reeves song) back & forth for about 40 mins, I just followed him. It was the summer & the sea was very calm. A fab memory for me. I've been back to Tintagel many times. (we used to call it 'Tint & Gel' after the hair product that was sold for the 'New Romantic Pop trend :)'

Nice memories of your videos. I had just thrown out a Heinz tomato ketchup bottle when I sat down to watch this! 😄Something I didn't know about Cape Cornwall! And the lovely old ruined church. So sad it is in decline and you can no longer get access to it. Hope you went and had a hot chocolate after the visit to the Cape....gosh it looked cold❄. The rocks behind the Cape are a feature in the Poldark advertising pictures with Ross looking out to sea! Lovely video you guys x J x

Very interesting video again, never visited Cape Cornwall with its quirky chimney, no saucy jokes please Andrew 😅 I thought the outlying rock formation looked rather like Alfred Hitchcock taking a dip in the ocean 🌊 I remember most of these videos but the funniest 😂 was the hundred and then some steps 🫣 thank you 🙏 Sarah & Andrew for another entertaining edit 🥰🥀🤗

Thank you for this great display of many of Cornwall's lovely and interesting places! I am lucky to have visited most of these, and am looking forward to more trips to this beautiful and intriguiging area. Lucky you to see all the narcissi around King Doniert's Stone 🙂 When we were there late July 2022, there was not one single flower, but very nicely maintained grass 🙂Thank you again for making all this effort for us 🥰 Torunn.

A fun re-visit of some interesting places. Nice the Heinz company saved that lovely bit of coast from modern builders, though when it comes to ketchup, I prefer the 'upside down' squeeze bottle, lol. That church was so mysterious! I love old graveyards, and it was great to compare the site with you prior photos. We have ivy that looks like that...not sure how old it is, but our house has been here for 93 years. The Merry Maidens are great! I remember about the two Piper stones and AEthelstan, King of the Saxons. The older the history, the more it gives me chills! Always enjoy your adventures! Cheers from California!

Great video! I was going to ask What makes Cape Cornwall a cape? Google to the rescue ...
The term cape is the point of land where two bodies of water meet. Cape Cornwall is one of only two capes in the United Kingdom.
You learn something new every day! Thanks guys.

Andrew and Sarah. Lovely video thank you. Have been to some of those place including Cape Cornwall (did you get a picture of the plaque?). I loved the church at Merther, would like to go there, looks very interesting and peaceful. So sad it was abandoned just two months after the end of WW2. I wonder the reason why. Lovely to hear the sound over of the peel of bells. 💕

Thanks for the warning. When we were in St Ives the Tate was closed for the three says we were there, so we didn't even get a look at the art let alone have a meal with a sea view.😢

Hi Sarah and Andrew. I loved seeing your mixed video this week. It was great seeing all the odd things in one video. The stack did look like a tomato sauce bottle. I am glad Heinz brought the area and gave it to the National trust to keep those nasty developed hands of it so people can enjoy the natural beauty of Cape Cornwall.

Why do they prevent people going near a lovely old church when it could be renovated by someone? It seems they would rather like it to fall down into oblivion. I was also told never walk on a grave and, as a child would run and take a jump over a beautiful black gravestone that was laid in the way of a footpath in the churchyard where my family members are all buried. We seemingly had a large family at one time.
    Such a sad place.
