Sunshine Nogueira I agree. I came from a family of academics. I chose a different path. Not practical they say. It was a hard journey but I've never regretted it. I made a lot of mistakes but they were mine and I learned. I know people who have a lot of $ but hated their jobs and aren't happy. I always hear them say, "I've always wanted to be...or I wish.." Here I am still doing what I love and surrounded by like minded individuals who are friends and teachers.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.
The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an extra-income earning chance, like investments.
I agree with you, Covid taught us the importance of having a plan "B" income. You are not safe with just one paying job, when nobody knows what will happen next. Look at what happened to so many of us when the pandemic started. OMG, It wasn't good at all. I believe we all can relate to this?
Ever since I stopped my former job, I have been surviving through my investment , am so glad I invested. I have been able to raise money from my investment and trading to start up my own firm.

Be careful not to jump into trading without any proper training because it can be very detrimental. Many folks jump into trading only to suffer great loss at the very beginning. Do not try to imitate a professional traders, better still ask questions. Get the services of a professional stock expert or a licensed broker.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 2 months ago about self development. Now I have 177 subs and almost 80 hours of watch time. Joined the Navy at 18 with 7k in the bank. I did janitorial and smoked a lot of pot in high school. Left the Navy after months with 32k in the bank. Invested 29k in the S&P in late 90. Started working at UPS, Exide Battery and did concrete on Saturdays. Invested 2k a month every month into it, Cashed out 250k from the S&P and invested with my Financial advisor Nancy Jane Gluck. Cashed out and Semi retired at 31. Took a year off. Traveled. Came home and started working part time for the insurance, entertainment and pocket change. Work isn't work when you don't have to work. Becoming wealthy can be done in few years. It feels like 60hr work weeks. Feel the pain of discipline early or feel the pain of regret later. I wish everyone well!
