I have just got a liver female Flattie. She is my second one. Everything you mention is correct. It is a fabulous dog breed to live with. Full of life, mischievous, lovable pooches, very elegant too! After 20 days with me she is performing quite well as to basic behavior etc which is an absolute must and requires constant attention. I am planning to book a professional training course for her before long

Why have used labrador pictures.

Just aquired my fourth Flatcoat male pup.
Nothing agaist Labrdors but why do you keep showing pictures of Labradors throughout the vidieo, flatcoats are not robots.
They do prefer to hunt by wind scent but can do both, one of the original bird dogs akin to a setter or pointer. My old dog Brock could do both, set, point and hit the ground to flush.
Bet you didn't know that they make a good sheep dog either. I know one.
They do make excellent pets for an outgoing, growing family but you failed to empthasise that a flatcoat should not be left at home on its own as they find it extremly mind destroying.
So much more to the Peter Pan of dogs, than just another robotic retriever.
I am afraid its a thumbs down from me this time for the Labrador comparing. What if anything of the Labrador went into some , soon left lol.
You didnt show a flatcoat in the water but we all know that they get their swimming abillities from the New Foundland more of them in them.
A flatcoat shouldn't get hip displacements if it is brought up right but not surprising you overlooked this fact when showing labradors.ie, at eighteen months you can be trialing or
whatever with a Lab. At twenty four months I have barely had my flatcoat off the lead except for heel work and swimming, lots of swimming lol.
Differant frame altogethr than a labrador.
Oh by the way you dont need to bribe a Flatcoat with treats when training all he/she looks for is a well done and praise, lots of it. Never seen an overweight flatcoat.
Far more than just another robot.
