8 Things You Must Never Do to Your German Shepherd
The German shorthaired pointer is the same dog but American. The German wired haired pointer is Germany's dog.
Nonsense about being 'not for first time dog owners'.
So another words this is a domesticated dog
Trim the eyebrows so that they're not covering the dogs eyes so he can see properly
Be sure to trim the fur and hair that's covering their eyes how annoying maybe they can see properly
They are the best breed in my opinion. I lives bouvs they are amazing dogs and will protect you no matter what! I have 2 and they are the sweetest dogs in the world. They are also not very challenging dog breeds they are as challenging ad most dogs are and they do need to be socialized but you will have no regrets with this dog breed
Great dogs
My little black broken coated Patterdale will be four soon. I had her neutered just after her second birthday, and she came to me at fifteen months as a rescue case. When I first got her she was beyond annoying, but I have been round Terriers of various types for six decades and now she is loving, sociable, has a riot playing with her dog friends. She remains reticent round most people, and especially children. She warms to people very slowly, but when she does she is delightful. I don't think this reticence is a bad thing. She would never be an easy dog to catch and steal. And if someone did, they would have an escape artist of amazing speed and determination on their hands. She is a little chatterbox, vocalising gently far more than I have ever known in any other dog and is so loyal that if I call her in she comes joyfully to me rather than chase prey or running towards potentially dangerous unfriendly dogs. That can only come from positive re-inforcement. Not treats [I call that bribery] but vocal encouragement and tickles and play. There is only one downside. She is so attached to me by now that though I can leave her in the car while I go into to a shop, she hates staying at home or even with known friends. It is as if she panics and becomes quite manic to come and find me. I am having some metalwork taken out of my leg next week, and though only day surgery, I imagine it will be a trial for my friend [who gave to to me in stead of taking her to a rescue kennel] for the long day it will be. So one downside, which does not worry me, and in all other respects the best dog I ever had the privilege to care for. But getting so well socialised as a young adult [rather than from weaning], and shaving the complete lack of training from her first home has a taken the patience of a minor saint. Initially stubborn, she now does everything she knows how to be good. But only for me. If I am not there she is a real pain in the posterior. Best wishes from George th-cam.com/video/KAjdRWhkIGA/w-d-xo.html
Elkhounds* *shows many photos of a NOT a elkhounds
On # 17 Scotty, once you let one own you, your heart can't be without one. Very keen, alert to both ground and aerial movements by people, animals, birds. Always protective of home, car, fishing or camping spot. If not raised with kids, they should not be subjected to small, active kids. The fast movements and loud play noises if kids seem to bring out the Scotty police. The biggest heart of any dog - afraid of nothing no matter size. My little guy has a regular standoff with the wild elk who live outside our fenced yard. Would be dangerous to let any Scotty loose where wildlife is common. They have no perception of their size compared to a bull moose. Go all out regardless. I work hard to make sure I keep my guys safe from themselves. Can't imagine life without a Scotty - loves of my life❤
Obviously an AI generated video. Talk to someone who has owned one or two. Also saw Wire Fox Terrier and a Yorkie. Then the nuclear explosion during WWI. I hate these AI videos. I hope the makers of it get jack squat for payment.
There is no bad we have two and they were great dogs but they have gone to doggy heaven miss them very very much. Gone but not forgotten.
Toi Manu Pictures of Dogs do not correspond to the breed
Bouviers are literally known for not being heavy shedders. There’s classed as a hypoallergenic breed. Not sure where you’ve got that one from.
Most of what they talk about is true but much of the behavior issues can be solved with training. My current schip sat at my grandkids bassinet and baby sat. She would not let other dogs near. She wasnt agressabout it just nedged them back.
Definitely not borders
Im on my second kokoni. Shes a rescue and very small and thin. But her personality is already showing on day 1
Rottweilers are a really great breed. They are very loyal and loving
Whe are one our six bouvier. The bouvier is more intelligent then every other bread. The are further in the evolution. They can think for themselves and take action on there own. And the are allways right. The bouvier has won WW 1. And the bouvier Bit Hitler. Hitler tried to kill them all. And he livespan is much higher. Up to 18 years.
Had one once......it was enough....
These dogs are a handful....
Theres plenty in northern cyprus shelters ready to rehome as alot of people dont know the value of these beautiful babys 😔🙏
My kokoni called Sissi lived 17 years with us. Its true about bad breath and teeth. Unfortunately we never brushed her teeth. I miss her
My first little guy had retinal atrophy leading to blindness, hypoglycemia (really scary at first), and a collapsed trachea due to an abusive first owner. Please use a harness instead of a leash!!! And please, please PLEASE remember to brush their teeth very often and have regular dental checkups! They are wonderful dogs, but you must be prepared devote quality time to them. Thank you.
They are great watchdogs, but do not, repeat, do not, leave them alone for long periods of time.
Yes, they do "get" some commands the very first time! Be consistent with the way you present the command. They are very bright and they can become disinterested. Be consistent with the reward, too!
They keep those beautiful coats, except seasonally. You'll see those silk-like strands of fine hair flying through the air...but it's all part of owning one of the wonderful creatures.
A couple of chihuahuas in the vid. Sorry, when you've raised two AKC papillons, you know.
My Staffi German Shepherd mix looks like an oversized Labrador and is such a beautiful boy. He inherited the best of Mom and Dad and he is super intelligent. I love him more than anything.
I had a Pitbull German Shepherd mix growing up. Her name was Mischief and she was the smartest dog. I took her everywhere with me and she was extremely well behaved and friendly. She lived for 16.5 years. I miss you Mischief.
I have a genetically long haired pitbull Very Rare. look up "rusty the hairy pitbull" if you want to see his cutiepieness.
Is that a border terrier ffs
BOXERS SO MUCH BETTER
They shed a lot? Do you even google your crap? Why would go out of your way to spread BS like this??!!
What's your AI bulshit
I have a 16 year old westie that is still going strong. I in human years is the same age as him and health wise he is doing better than me. Iam afraid of either of going to heaven love article 😮😢😊
Their beautiful
Yes, German Shepherds - the velcro woofers. Bred to herd & protect sheep from wolves, protect the shepherd & to guard, guide & protect children.
I have a jindo, all is true, however mine avoids water, rain and wouldn't be standing in a body of water. He's on watch 24/7, as he's territorial. I love him ❤️.
Mine caught a bird in flight right in front of me in my garden. Could not believe the speed and reaction time.
Cotton de tulear house training
I've got a bull paterdale cross lakeland terrier he's fearless with rats his character is funny he sits like a meerkat
I think you confused some facts with the shih-tzu
My Chin lived to be 19! She passed last month. Oh how she is missed!! What a precious dog indeed!
They also go blind when they are older.
Besten Hunde, SOP.OCD ❤️🔥👑🫰⚔️🇷🇸⚔️🇩🇪⚔️STOLZER BESITZER
The white and tan dogs at the beginning look like border terriers not Patterdales.
Next time use photos of Curly coated retriever not Irish water spaniel ...
They shed a lot? I thought they were considered hypoallergenic? I know no dog is completely hypo but that usually means they shed less.
My childhood dog and then my parents and sister have bred them. Love, love, love them their loyalty, energy and bravery make them wonderful companions. I understand they are a breed under threat in the UK which is so sad as they are such characters.
