Congratulations! I had mine delivered a few weeks ago. Just wanted to say that weird gap in the case is apparently storage for your steam deck charger. Clever. Keep up the good work 👍

As someone that has consumed thousands and thousands of hours of ASMR for nearly a decade I have to say that your whispering is some of the best I've been fortunate enough to listen to over that time

@@AmiciCherno okay. Well, ASMR preference is subjective. I wasn't saying this to be fact. Just my opinion after tons and tons of time spent watching ASMR. I'm not really sure the point of your comment. A better way to have stated your preference would be, "Tanya ASMR has some really good whispering content too. You should check it out."
@@amysticmind2645 I'm not really sure what the point of your comment was in the first place but I didn't say anything about it, like the fact of why you would say that you've "consumed thousands and thousands of hours of ASMR for nearly a decade" as if trying to fill out an imaginary resumé to validate that your opinion supposedly holds more meaning than another's even though you've literally just stated to me that you had already known that the "best" of anything in ASMR is 100% subjective.

Have had my Steam deck for like 4 months now and I just absolutely love it. Best portable gaming device ever easily. It's a cute (well, depending on your hands ig) yet super powerful thing that can do basically anything and with style.
Btw worth saying that even if Valve hasn't verified a game yet, or even if they say it's all out unsupported, it's actually fairly likely that it will work. Every game I've tried, most of which are "unsupported" actually work flawlessly.
Thats so cool! I want one at some point but I probably won't be able to for a while so its neat to see it!

I love this video! I also have a steam deck and I love playing the sims on it and once you configure how you want the controls, it works very nice💗 it’s such an awesome device.
It is! And so far the games I've been playing haven't even needed much control configuring so I'm super pleased :)

@@simazek1993 o I mean like when you buy a new pc and you have to re download the game , but you don’t have to do that with steam deck because you can stream straight from pc if that makes sense

Not only is it a great handheld, but that low latencey sold me. Ill try and get the 64Gb model with a 256Gb SD card
So the trackpads are based on the steam controller, and that one was able to play strategy games by basically simulating a mouse-track-pad you find on a laptop for example. Maybe the Steam Deck can switch to a mouse cursor pad for Dorfromantik for example? Edit: Ah during the end you even show that in desktop mode you have a cursor to control.

JubileeWispers: Just got my Steamdeck and I'm going to make all of you sleep with it!
This is the only portable console gadget I've ever wanted to save up for. I just wish they'd let us install our own extra storage, they really gouge you with the jump from 256 to 512. (The 64 to 256 upgrade is relatively reasonable, since you go from eMMC to NVMe.)
Edit: Oh, there IS an expandable memory slot! Awesome. I feel a lot better about one's options, because even with 512GB I wouldn't be able to get much of my Steam library on there.

@@denzel697 I mean I got like 1000 games on Steam which sounds like a lot but for an average Steam user it's not that crazy really. Obviously don't need or even want all of them installed at the same time though, so the 512GB model with two 512GB SD cards (one for emulation, one for native games) has been more than enough for me.

When i was living in the US nothing really warrant me getting a steam deck since i rarely traveled and i already own a gaming Pc but since i moved to China over a year ago for work i wasn't able to bring my pc with me and even if i could I'm afraid the different voltage might destroy it so now I'm looking into getting a steam deck since i miss playing some of my games

Some of the games I've dreamed of being ported to the switch are literally playable on the deck like test drive unlimted 1 and Metro Exodus ray tracing edition (RT is a total game changer in that game) can even run on the steam deck. Plus portable DOOM Eternal in 60 fps? I want one

I got my steam deck today. It says the L2 button is pressed all the way when it's not pressed at all and the steam and ... buttons don't do their intended functions they do whatever they feel like lol. Good times.
Now I wish I could afford a steam deck 😂

The difference between the deck and PC is noticeable when streaming to the deck, but it's very very minimal and more than optimal for use of the deck in its usual settings.
Why would you stream on a handheld?

I am not a gamer in the slightest so this is probably going to sound like a dumb question, but is this basically a better version of a Nintendo switch?
Not a dumb question at all, Emma! I would say yes, let me explain why. I also have a Nintendo Switch (which I love and have used a lot since I got it a few years ago) but the big downside is it can ONLY play Nintendo titles and games that have been put on the Nintendo game store. It's pretty limited as Nintendo is pretty picky about what they allow on there. The Steam Deck is basically a portable computer, which is capable of playing ANY game from your Steam library as WELL as doing things any computer could do, like run an emulator, which means you could play those Nintendo titles on this TOO! I did a quick google search (so no idea how accurate this is) which told me there are roughly 4,400 games you can play on the Switch and there are over 50,000 games on Steam alone. Plus you could also play all those Switch games or any games not on Steam, like your childhood favorites. So, long story short, Nintendo Switch = limited gaming library vs Steam Deck = practically endless gaming library. I hope this helps!!

valve took the strap out of the cases on new models

Looks nice although doesnt the reflective screen gets kind of annoying at some point?
It looks suuuper noticeable in this video because of the lighting but in reality it's no more noticeable than looking at your phone screen or a tablet. I've since gotten to check out the top tier version with the etched glass screen and the screen is definitely very nice to look at (better than mine) but I still don't have a problem with my version, if that makes sense.

All the Steam Deck now needs is a Streaming App so you can stream to a streaming platform while playing. :D
Is the Steam Deck actually good for a main and only gaming device?
@@jjk5693 for singleplayer yes, if you are comfortable playing on a handheld device, for multiplayer you have to check if your favourite games are already supported. if you want to connect it to a big screen you need a dock, but there are many cheap third party docks now that can connect steam deck to a monitor directly.
I think you would enjoy playing cities skylines. It is really chill and envolves creativity
