Bio: Wajahat S. Khan is an Emmy-nominated journalist and author reporting on Indo-Pacific security and focusing on the Af-Pak conflict. An Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center of Global Affairs and non-resident Senior Fellow at Washington’s Atlantic Council, Khan is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism and the University of Michigan, as well as Pakistan’s only Shorenstein Fellow for Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has reported from 16 countries covering conflict, diplomacy, and media for digital, cable and network news. During the final years of U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, Khan was bureau chief in Kabul and Islamabad for NBC News, and embedded with over a hundred NATO, Afghan, Indian and Pakistani military and paramilitary units as he covered South Asia for leading US, British, Indian, Japanese and Pakistani networks and publications since the beginning of the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. Recently, he served as the Digital Editor at Nikkei Asia, where he launched Nikkei’s first podcast series, and edited a popular weekend newsletter at the Eurasia Group. He frequently dabbles in cricket, and is the author of the 2019 Amazon / Harper Collins non-fiction bestseller, “Game Changer: Being Shahid Afridi.” He lives between New York City, London and Karachi.
I'm retired and have lol of time to listen to my great leader Imran Khan. About one month before his arrest, what all he said that how Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan proved true word by word. His all the prophies regarding role of Asim Munir, judiciary and intelligence agencies have come true. That's why all the time, I say that Imran Khan is a God gifted man.
No doubt about that. But it was necessary for Imran khan what establishement is doing to him. He should be taught his lesson. He was so naive before, he did not know how evil they can be. He accepted establishment terms everytime. Now he knows how to stand against them. He will be back stronger, wiser and determined. I hope he doesnt cut a deal in near future. I believe his true struggle for pakistan started after he ousted, otherwise he was only a politician. He kept corrupt people around him to remain in power or get the power. But He transfomed from a politician to a leader after he was ousted. Lets hope he remains the same, which is highly unlikely. But I hope he comes back clean. Wait a little more, let the system do its thing. Do not lose hope, take this shit a little longer. Things will change. I believe in Imran Khan.

This is one of the best vlogs I have seen from you. Excellent job in your analysis of the children growing up in Pakistan seeing this type of fascism and at some point they will take a strong stance. The royal mindset of Sharifs, Zardaris, Establishment, their excessive sense of self-importance, superiority, inflated ego, and sheer arrogance is unbelievable. They have convinced themselves that all Pakistanis are stupid and that we are merely “bher and “bakriya” (sheeps and goats) as quoted by Imran Khan in his speeches. I remember my mother used to tell us “Allah ko Aajizee pasand hai” (Allah likes humility). The sheer arrogance of these people will be the cause of their destruction, it is a matter of time.

I don’t usually watch your vlogs, but today, I did and found your explanation of politics and the establishment, especially in your interactions with the so-called Royals, very impressive. It made me understand why Imran Khan failed, because of the non-cooperating establishment , and why they are willing to support a fugitive. I’m concerned about the future for Pakistanis and why Imran Khan is dedicating himself to people who won’t support those risking their lives for them. It doesn’t look promising, as the army tolerates some Generals’ brutality, and the other part of the establishment seems more interested in making money. It’s quite disheartening.
