An Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center of Global Affairs and non-resident Senior Fellow at Washington’s Atlantic Council, Khan is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism and the University of Michigan, as well as Pakistan’s only Shorenstein Fellow for Harvard University’s John F. Oh my god the imagery after 31:00 is pure HIT movie material. I can almost imagine the whole scene. Loved it.
Man proposes, God disposes. Lull before the storm is a fact and an expectation of the people of Pakistan. Hatred against the military leadership is at an all time high. Any adventurism against the only popular leader could trigger serious insurgency in ethnically diverse Pakistan.
It's never happened my man. The Pakistani nation is such a unique one, they're always laid back and ready to be controlled...I don't know what the reason is but I've observed that there's something wrong with this region of the world. Whoever has ever lived here, they get in this weird state of being laid back and relaxed about the majority of things that matter in life. Thinking of conducting some kind of research on it, there's something in the air which probably makes us all super beghairat.

@@hunter62207 well in these kind of things, we need to talk numbers to be accurate but I'm sure we both lack that kind of research. So, according to my knowledge, the provincial struggles that are going on are small scale (talking comparatively, with reference to our total population) and they're caused by really personal stimuli hence they have limited demands and are easily manageable or at least controllable enough to be postponed for later by those in power. None of them are truly organised (comparing them to struggles/protests in other countries of the world). So all in all, we're pretty much a chill nation mate, every day everyone goes out to work and comes back home, we see a bunch of people protesting and we're pissed because of the traffic jam. We see the news every day, how the country is going downhill and how there's almost no hope for any betterment but life goes on...no one truly gives a F, sadly.
For a nation that's not laid back, you don't even need to capture their most popular leader, it just takes the murder of one activist (Mahsa Amini), for them to rally the roads and protest in the true sense. This is just one example, there are many others that are better suited to explain my point but I'm too tired to write them down at this point.
