Sorry mate it passed too long. But anyway it wouldn't make any sense to use my exact EQ settings unless you have the same guitar, the same pedals and the same amp! Use your ears!
Well while the Mooer has a slight volume loss, which results in a loss in the high end, the Hartman keeps the full volume, although it cuts the low end (to replicate the Mistress 1976)... I could make another video comparison with my current setup. Probably the difference would be more noticeable!
Mine definitely had volume drop but was only noticeable in live (loud) settings. Switched to an old ibanez FL99 and haven't looked back. Closest to the green mistress as I've found. Otherwise, I'd definitely go for a hartman
@@gilmouring it just arrived. It's a tiny little beast! edit: after playing some hours I find it "too flangy" for pink floyd sounds!! Very nasal sounding also. It seems I have to live with that. Sometimes I feel it sounds better in the filter mode. The Hartman is better, I think. But for the price, the mooer is very good. Most of my pedals are EHX and now, I respect them more! certainly, they are not easy to copy.
@@markoz777 consider there might be differences between yours and mine, since I had an early version of the Eleclady (now e-lady if I remember correctly). Anyway I think you should tweak a bit and find the sweet spots for the pedal. I guarantee that it's not "too flangy" because I still use it sometimes in my videos and it gets the job done! Of course the Hartman is on another level, much much better, more organic and overall better sounding... Anyways, as you said, for the price the Mooer is damn good! 😁
Hi Tony I know this video is from a while back but may I ask can you remember settings for the Mooer for Comfortably Numb and Mother at all please? I've been after that subtle flanger sound for years! Also were would you put the flanger in the FX chain ? I assume after distortion as show in the pic? Many thanks for any information that you can give:)) And brilliant video!
Hi, thank you! Yes the fx chain is as shown in the video. I usually set it with rate at 3 o'clock, range at 9 o'clock and colour at 10 o'clock. But consider that the same settings don't guarantee the same result, since other pedals and the amp affect the result. Good luck. Tony.
I went with the mooer as the Flanger is mostly used as a subtle effect, which I think the mooer does a good job. Plus, with pedalboard space at a premium, and effect that I might use for 3 songs in a gig, I don't want a big pedal taking up tons of room. Unless you are in a Floyd or Police cover band, the mooer does fine for most Flange effect songs. Nice Demo!
The Mobius seems incredible from what I've heard of it. It'd be a great deal for the price even just for the Uni-vibe and rotary speaker settings if they're good. Everything else is a bonus. Plus for flange + rotary or chorus+rotary the mooers paired with it would be a good option. Please let me know what you think of it. Never been happy with my Deluxe Electric Mistress so am thinking to sell it and a couple other things and go with the Mobius...
Yes. That's a good plan. Sooner or later I'll get one to...But I'd prefer to find a used one to save some money... Anyway today I got a new pedal...stay tuned! Demo coming this weekend!
I think it's safe to assume the Mooer Eleclady is a clone of the Hartman Flanger (non reticon model) and not the Deluxe Electric Mistress as reported by most. I've owned both and prefer the Mooer.
Could definitely be! Only Mooer can confirm or deny 😁 But one thing that would go with this theory is that the rate knob on the Mooer has a totally different behaviour from the one on the EHX! Much more similar to the Hartman!
Hi! Thank you! Yes I found a free tab, but it has some errors at the beginning. I can fix them for 3€ if you want. Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the tab. You're gonna need 3 pedals for that tone: Ram's Head Big Muff, Electric Mistress, Analog Delay (I'd say 330ms but I'm not sure). Cheers
Grazie mille! A presto
From one Tony to another, that's some really nice playing...... Got that Gilmore thing down. I just watched another of your videos, the one with this Vick Audio and the Caprid. Can I ask which one do you prefer? And by the way, I own that Hartman flanger, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the little Mooer pedal....
Hello there! Sorry for the late reply! Thank you so much! ********************************************* ##About the "Ram's head" challenge## I chose to keep the Wren&Cuff. But not because it sounds better than the Vick Audio: they're very close and both replicate an excellent Ram's Head sound. Anyway I also loved the replica of the enclosure and the "reverse" tone knob (like the original). I think this pedal will be more worthy in the future. Anyway I must say that I got a Caprid, because I was lucky: I found a used and it was about 100€ cheaper than a new one. Without that I really don't know if I would have ever tried one. ********************************************* ##Hartman vs Mooer## The mooer is really amazing. It sounds really authentic and it's incredibly cheap!!! I was lucky again. I thought "I must have it". But in the first place I found an auction on eBay by an Australian guy. I thought it was perfect, but the price raised quickly, and got soon to about 300€. I kept searching untill I found one I could afford. But same story, I would keep going with the Mooer smoothly...
Great Job. Thank you for Doing this 👍 The Mooer is Wonderful for Police and Pink Floyd Songs. My Recommendation for the slightly Volume Drop at the Elady: I use the tc Spark Mini Boost (with minimal raising the volume...by the way it is a great Pedal too) after the Mooer pedal. Works absolute fine 👍
Thank you Toni for your answer. I just viewed your Video about the EHX compressor. It s great and your guitar playing is fantastic. Now you are in my Abo List 😀. Wishing you all the best and many Greetings from Bavaria, Germany. Tom
Ciao Tony, bella demo complimenti.
Hey Tony ( greetings from NYC brother ) Have you heard about the New Retro-Sonic Flanger ? ( perhaps, another contender ) However . . . I did not fall in love with the Longamp Roxanne. I still love my Mooer E-Lady ?
Really? I love my Current Lover!! Which version of the Roxanne do you have? First one (the one with the original current lover board)? Didn't know about the Retrosonic!! It looks promising, but I have some doubts: - 12-18v power: one of the reasons I want to sell my Nova is it runs at 12v dc and needs a dedicated power supply. - Level control: seriously? we know a mix control would have been a better choice. - MN3207: the best flangers I tried have the MN3007 (which btw handles up to 15v if I remember correctly) I don't know. I think at this point an Alexander Neo Flanger would be a better choice, although personally I would use a half of its functions. What do you say?
For the price, the Mooer can't be beat. I have one and it's replaced my Boss BF-2 and MXR Micro Flangers. I do not know why the Hartman is so expensive, but people smarter than me must know. Excellent video.

The Hartman has a more mid-focused tone (hard to tell if it's boosting mids or cutting bass and treble without using one myself), while the Mooer is clearer. The effect is good on both, but the tone of the Mooer is more like an actual Electric Mistress.
Actually the audio quality is not the best...I should probably do another take. I can assure you that the Hartman is more like a Green Electric Mistress. The Mooer is a little darker, and it's more like the Deluxe Electric Mistress.
Great Demo ( and David Gilmour Tone ). Do you experience Any Volume Drop with the Mooer ? Any Tone Sucking ? Do you still like it ? I am thinking of Finally Buying One, but heard that it is made a little Flimsy & Fragile ? ( any input ) . Thanks.
The mooer has a minimal volume drop, but not as severe as the Mistress: you won't need to boost your signal when this pedal is engaged.
