    Great flanger demo! Excellent playing as well! Especially love the way you showed the dial in different positions while playing, really smart idea!

    Came here for the flanger, left blown away by the playing. Great demo! My ElecLady will be arriving soon, can't wait to shoot some Gilmour tones 🖤🎸

    Hey, Mike Hermans videos are so helpful. Somehow he displays incredible musicianship without stealing attention from the gear he is demonstrating. A class act and a great player. Bravo

    i'm so pleased with this pedal! the tone of this little effect is amazing. it's versatile, you can get a phaser sound and a chorus type sound. i use it with an EHX octavix, fender blues jr. and les paul jr. for a nice warm tasty tone. yes, its made in china but the price is right, no need to spend big bucks for a flanger.

    I bought one. It does a remarkable job of emulating the old Electric Mistress heard all over Floyd and Zep records from around 1975-6 onwards.

    Thank god; a demo that isn’t all soul-less bluesy riffing. Thank you. It’s just easier to think about the p dal when the playing is musical!

    Excellent playing and I must say I’ve been extremely happy with the pedal, what an excellent little piece of kit and takes up hardly any room!

    It is official: Prymaxevintage's demos are the best on the net. Better than PGS. You can really hear the pedals in a musical context, the playing is great and the sound quality is top.

    The single strum from the intro to Trying to Be Cool by Phoenix... I think that sound is here!

  • @donnyjames7775

    I just got this one. It has more "movement" and swirl than my 34 year old Boss BF-2 and MXR Micro Flanger. I am finally hearing the flange sounds I was searching for. Robin Trower's Caravan to Midnight mostly. I do not notice a volume drop like others have said, maybe I am missing it. So far it seems to be an excellent value and quality seems very good as well.

    • @allthingsclassicrock
      @allthingsclassicrock 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just picked one of these up so I can emulate the Trower tones heard on that album! Particularly “Sail On” I love that song and tone.

    • @alanjamesh.zamorano1677
      @alanjamesh.zamorano1677 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings from another fellow Trower fan. I'm also considering this pedal due to some of Trower's guitar sounds. Particularly from the 1987 Passion album, it sounds to me like he was using a Flanger in a swirling setting, sounds a bit like a chorus but thicker. From Caravan to Midnight my favorite is I'm Out To Get You, specially those long held chords he plays right before the solo. I knew he wasn't using just his good ol' Uni Vibe to achieve those liquid swirling sounds. Now I know that a Flanger was the secret in addition to the Uni.

    yes Mike Hermans is a great player.....he makes the best product demos on the web, his backing tracks which he creates from scratch and arranges I believe are high quality stereo recordings....which I hate when people on youtube record mono noisy recordings and talk all the way through with hardly any playing....Mike doesn't talk, puts all the info you'd ever need about the product at the bottom and just really plays wonderfully!

KILLER rendition of Chick's Space Circus / Childrens Song motif - but you didn't go into the subsequent part of Spce Circus that echos the old Tony Williams Lifetime song! :-) Lovin the Billy Connors esque phrasing mixed up w tasty country riffs! play on brother. btw - great sounding flanger! looking forward to your CD.

    I just bought my son a Bugera V22 22 watts of all tube EL84 with one 12 for $349 couldn't believe how great it sounds....I have a Budda Superdrive 30 watt with 4 EL84's ....it flippen screams...I'm really curious about the Bugera TRIREC 100-Watt 3-Channel Valve Amp Head all hand wired for $799.....Lee Ritenour is recording with a Bugera and George Benson that's what made me look at the Amp Company owned by Behringer but I'm not a fan of them, but the price made me get one....lol

    Couldn't agree more. Shocking to think of the profits all these boutique pedal companies make on what is essentially a PCB board in a metal box with a couple of knobs on top.

  • @mojorisen74
    @mojorisen74 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hate to say it but I just got one and the pot stopped working. It's stuck in one spot no matter where you turn it. If you press it gently to the right it will work but only if you hold it there. Cheap plastic potentiometer, other than that the build quality is good. I opened it and it has a stacked circuit board. The only way you can change the pot out is to unsolder everything else. I'm taking mine back. I probably won't get another one unfortunately. It's a shame, I did an A/B test with my electric mistress and it was practically identical. It even had the volume drop.

    • @mojorisen74
      @mojorisen74 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I ended up replacing the pot with a higher quality steel pot. It works fine now but it was very difficult to remove and replace.

    one more reason why prymaxevintage demos are better than PGS, GMD, etc.
    Miking technique, pv demos sound awesome, rich like how it would actually sound live while pgs sounds like crap and gmd sounds like it has a 500hz high pass filter.

    seriously...these made in china pedals are now exceeding $100 AUD or $70 USD...these are still cheap quality made with cheap quality components and no battery compartment and they are charging more than some Boss pedals made in Taiwan..should last you as long as the warranty (12 months) and then you can throw them away.. happy buying !

      It's 2017. You should stop using batteries anyway.
      And the "cheap quality components" are the same ones over 90% of builders are using, including your favorite "boutique" builder.

      Ted,
      I disagree with your statement. These pedals devastate anything by BOSS. True bypass, clean signal and I have had some of mine for years already, gigging heavily. If you are playing all the time batteries are useless. I have been buying my MOOER pedals for about $50 US.
