This is my english version of a channel about Georgia in general and Batumi exactly. During this long 1 hour video I went through the whole city, detailfuly describing every part of a city. It is situated on the Black Sea, so attracts many expats and people who never knew before even about Georgia.
You will find out how much rent and food cost average in Batumi, will see how does new blocks look like (does it correlate with your perception of advertisements). I'll slightly describe the prices per square meter, and detailed reviews of the buildings you can find out on my channel. This is not commercial and I strictly recommend a qualified real estate agent before you buy from builders. But generally if you are fluent in laws and situation enough, you can do everything yourself. But I insist not to huurry up, being pleased wiith low prices!!!!
I like this place and love living here, so you need to know that my review is positive. I show things I don't like too, but I digust hype, so you wont find any scandals in my video. Sorry, but not interested)))
If something in this video is not clear, or need to be added, you can ask you question in comments, or write me in whatsapp (not during the night, please)

USEFUL LINKS ON GEORGIA on the channel:
    1. Building companies who give a DISCOUNT to channel subscribers for buying apartments and houses and whose contacts I am not afraid to give:

    Contact Lena (sales director): +995 557 22 33 84
    b) Guru Holding - $2000 for apartments. Видео: clck.ru/39dkUU without real estate agent
    Contact Iness (head of sales department): +995 558 30 03 00
    c) Batumi Investemnt - 5% of the price when buying without a realtor. clck.ru/3A42RP Garden Inn, Royal residence botanico, Lemon Garden.
    Contact Dzhanno (Director): +995 577 75 25 26
    2. Free ads for the sale of apartments on the channel (read the rules of placement)

So spacious in the old town. I love the old buildings, the trees everywhere. Not hoards of people pushing and shoving. What a laid-back, lovely place. I'm an Aussie who currently lives in the UK but am looking to move again. Batumi might just be worth a closer look. I'll need some space and a garden because after seeing all the homeless dogs I'll want to take them all home with me.

The black frame tours are great, but if there was a way to hear from the folks who do the upgrades & see apartments that have been converted with pricing discussions, my guess is that could be popular too. Alex, I’ve been in Batumi for 3 weeks now, and I’m really impressed. The city and it’s people will grow on you after awhile. I’ve been staying in the Orbi City complex where it’s one huge construction zone inside and around the complex. But I’m convinced that everything will look nice and shiny in a few years. I’m also impressed with old Batumi with it’s beautiful architecture and restored old buildings. It’s much nicer than what you showed on video. The sea front promenade is also very nice near the port and cable car building. There are many dilapidated housing blocks and unclean areas with persistent poverty, so most people are packed into those blocks while shiny new high rises remain empty for most of the year until the tourist season. There’s only around 5 occupants on my entire floor at Orbi City, but I don’t mind peace and quiet during the off season. People are generally nice and helpful in Batumi. The only criticism I have is the limited shopping options and higher cost of goods. I’ve noticed some clothing, grocery and deli products costs more than in the US. However, housing and transportation is very affordable. A bus ride only costs .12 cents! The other thing is the weather. It’s a little cloudy and chillier this time of year, but it really doesn’t get any colder than Southern California. Since Americans can stay in Georgia for a year, I wouldn’t mind owning an apartment to use in the off season. I’m not looking to invest, but just having a second home in Batumi would be enough for me.

I plan on traveling to Turkey & Georgia from Namibia next month. Batumi is one of my stops, and I’m sure it will be a cultural shock. Seems like an interesting town with a lot of variety. I like the new area along the coast. The old town has a little bit of character, but it can do without the graffiti. Seems like middle Batumi has a mix of old & new. Some buildings are definitely run down, but poor people and locals have to live somewhere. The newer buildings can be a turn off when residents hang their clothes over the rails of apartment balconies. They don’t even do that in Namibia.

Hello. What do you think of the Alliance Palace building? Is 60000 dollars too much for a 33 m2 room there to buy? Thanks

First and once more, this video is great. But one suggestion. At min 13+ you share the food. Honestly, your choice was very poor. I m sure there were options that would visually show a richer picture of the Georgian food you praise so much, than the bland dim sun and the unimpressive thick pizza with an egg on top. Even if it is exactly the food you like, keep in mind you are making a video and in video the visual thing matters.
