  • Here is a run down on how to install a speaker assy from headset into your none audio setup helmet, whether it be a MX helmet or a basic street helmet if there is no channel for cutout for speakers to be inserted then this becomes very uncomfortable to wear and also down right annoying because the speakers tend to fall out and displace easily.
Here with this tutorial you will see that its not rocket science and with a little patience it can be done perfectly. what a great way to make your headset fit better !

I'd think you could do it without a dremel. At least with other foam like in equipment cases and such you can put cross hatch cuts creating a bunch of little squares that are easily pulled out.

I did similar by hand on my Bell MX9 MIPs. I used a tea spoon and lots of force. Wasn't the best job. Ive got a Dremel but I don't have the Flexi shaft so not sure it'll fit in my helmet easily.
Looks like a nice clean job. 👍

i’m trying to put a intercom in a bell mx9, did you find the ear speakers stick out too far? i don’t wanna do any pushing in of the foam

Without having this helmet I’d say I’m 99% you don’t have to use a dremel.. just remove the three nuts around the speaker space

They would be pressing too much against the ears. So very little tolerance between the side. But that could also be me having big ears hahahah
Cheers and thank for the feedback which. Also makes a good point and option too !
