I believe the reason for the 3.5 audio cable to listen to music from phone instead of using BT is to try save phone battery as much as we could because BT does draw some power from the phone when it is on.
super helpful - the "quick start" Sena provides is useless - it doesn't even match what's in the box, because it shows a mic attached to the clamp which mine wasn't - so it was good you show how to use the detached boom mic. They also don't show how to orient the speakers - you do. Thanks!!!
Nice video, I like how you mounted the boom mic on the inside. On our old helmets we had them mounted on the outside, definitely gonna try the inside mounting on our new helmets. Thanks😃👍
Hey, which is the better bike for someone 6'2 and 230lbs + for commuting to work and some highway and freeway riding, Kawasaki Vulcan S or the Yamaha Bolt R-Spec?
I'd say test ride both and see which you like best. That's always the best thing to do. I am 5'7", so the Vulcan could be a bit small for you, but they do have a different seat for taller people. I can't comment on the Bolt R spec because I have not ridden it unfortunately. Hope that helped in some way!
@@jenniferstrasheim I'm glad I could help! And glad you're coming to Sturgis - as I'm typing this, I'm getting up at a hotel in Iowa, ready for day 3 of my ride to Sturgis. See you there! If you see me walking around in my motoblade shirt come say hi 😃
I receive the Sena SMH10R as a birthday gift. I have a modular helmet which flips up. Would I be better off using the boom or the regular adhesive microphone. Any advice is appreciated.
My best guess will be the boom mic. I plan on getting a modular helmet soon, but I don't have one yet. Wish I could give you better info, maybe someone else can chime in here too. Thanks for watching, and when you install it, I'd love to know which setup you choose and how well it works!
All the SENA's have good audio quality. However, for top video quality I would personally stick with GoPro or Garmin (a dedicated video camera system). If your videos are more for yourself and you don't think you'll be publishing them on TH-cam, then the Sena with built in camera will work just fine. Just my opinion there. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Waterproof rated for rain, but don't submerge it in a sink or tub (or a pond or a lake, of course, that might be the least of your concerns at that point).
TH-cam scales it automatically based on video popularity. I hadn't even checked this video in a while. Yeah, I need to go in and mess with that, sorry.
Clear and Well spoken, no Unnecessary gibberish. Like the tone of your voice too !
Good job!
Thank you!
Far, far more helpful than the SENA video. I appreciate it!
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Perfect! I was worried this was going to be a thing, but it's painfully simple! Thanks, brother!

Alot better than other tutorials
@@Mflores559 thank you!

Hadn't thought about that - Good idea! Thanks for watching!
Appreciate this, i just bought this headset thought it was going to be a pain in the butt to install, but you have put me at ease thanks 👍🏾.
Glad I could help! Hope you like the new headset! 😎✌🏻
Best how too video I've seen , gonna order myself and lady a set of duals now made it looks simple and professional

Thanks for the great video. The install was a lot easier with this information.
Easier than the software update for the Sena headset, I might ad.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Good vid mate, liking this new motoblade version. A new year a new place a new bike so everything new. Can’t wait.
@Briggs Cory its a worthless bot....

Happy Birthday 🎉🎊
Is th wired connection to go to your gopro?
Can be wired to GoPro I believe. Can be plugged into mp3 as well. Never utilized it because I use Bluetooth for everything.
Very well explained...thumbs up..
Thanks! I appreciate that!
Nice install vid! Very helpful!
Thanks!
Awesome job man!
Thanks!
the curly cable is for the 8 track! ;)
If I can fit it on my bike 🤣

Good and nice work, are those headset are waterproof???
I think they are "water resistant" so fine in rain, but they shouldn't be completely submerged underwater.
I beleave using the sticky velcro help so you dont hear any rattling
@@Mflores559 it may, but I’ve never had any rattling in the helmets I’ve installed this headset on. The bracket is very sturdy and secure.

Can we use that while charging?
I honestly don't know. I haven't tried it yet. Maybe someone else can get in here with an answer.
Thank you!!!

Really it does not come with clear instructions and I was at a loss lol, your video made it possible for me to be ready for Sturgis!!!

@@MOTOBLADE Thanks again for a fine video and the advice. I will definitely let you know what set up I went with. Your video will be a great help.
Thanks, great video. Does this unit work with open face with visor helmets, like the red one you have on the table?
Thinking of getting Sena 10C evo on my Shoei RF1200
It has camera and Bluetooth combined.
What’s your opinion?

MOTOBLADE , yes it’s only for my self . Thank you very much! Stay healthy and ride safely!
Is it water proof like what if it rains???
Waterproof rated for rain, but don't submerge it in a sink or tub (or a pond or a lake, of course, that might be the least of your concerns at that point).
I think that AUX cable attaches to your gopro.
👍🏻👍🏻
The wires is for when the Sena is dead so you can still listen while riding right?
I assume that's what it is for, to be honest I have never used it because the battery life usually lasts me 2 weeks or more riding everyday.
Are those speakers magnetic?
You could put a magnet in the helmet to hold them because they have a metal frame, but by themselves no, they are not magnetic.
any idea on how to install a 12v outlet on a 19 chieftain?
I think the 2019 has a 12v outlet in the bottom rear of one of the saddlebags like the 18 does. In mine it's in the bottom rear of the right side bag.
oh ok my bike is coming in next week and then they want a few days to built it it would have been nice to have one upfront@@MOTOBLADE
For the folks with an old school iPod or something :P

@@MOTOBLADE I didn’t know that. Sorry for my rude comment.
