- Step by step installation of a Cardo Packtalk Edge into a Bell MX-9 off-road helmet. Took just over 20 minutes start to finish and works great with excellent sound clarity and fits the helmet great!
I utilized a second helmet kit as I already had a packtalk unit for my road helmet.

Thanks for making this
Hope it was helpful
@@SecondHalfofLifeIt was, thank you.
Thanks for video! I have the helmet and will most likely get the cardo too. This will help.
Great video. Nice to know the Edge fits the speaker cut outs before dropping $400 on it.
Hahaha great video man thanks 👍
Because it's a motocross helmet and is more open than a road helmet, it picks up a lot more wind noise, right? Or does it work well?
I would say it picks up a little more wind noise but honestly not too bad. I use the same cardo for both my Bell dirt bike helmet and my Arai road helmet and the arai is only slightly quieter but the bell still works great at least at dirt road speeds. I haven't tried it at 70 on a freeway as I don't ride my dirt bike on the road.
Awesome video! Good luck with your Parkinson's; May God bless you!
Ps, my sight is fcuked at close range. Even with glasses.... 🤣
I'm glad I found this. I just ordered my Packtalk Edge and have a very similar helmet in the Bell MX-9 ADV. I was wondering about which mic as well and with the lack of a solid mounting point for the "button" mic in the middle along with the large space between your mouth and the inside front of this helmet, it looks like the boom mic is the way to go. Any regrets going that route? This is really going to help me out installing mine. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. No regrets at all. The boom mic has worked great in this application. And there is plenty of space for it makes the wire routing easier as well.
