What a win by Carlsen. From a losing position to almost being out of time by move 40, he went to a drawing position, kept patience and clutched an amazing win in the end. The GOAT has proved one again why he is the greatest ever, unbelievable how he was able to go with move 133 exactly when it was the best move possible. Simply no words !

What’s amazing to me, is you have 2 GMs a WIM, with each other and computers to assist them in finding the best move.. Ian and Magnus sat on their own with just their own ‘mind palace’ to rely on. From such a wide selection of possibilities, still consistently choose that very move time after time. (Without the pressure of the clock ofc) Incredible.
Magnus did the sums and knew 3 pieces to 2 was a winner. Two rooks are heavy compared to a bishop that can't even touch half the board. The pawns were even and Nepo had doubled pawns, and his king was exposed, and Magnus had the knight as kings defender, so Magnus's pawns we're in better shape. Even a queen needs support and a bishop is not enough. The queen can check all day but can't do it alone. One piece has to hold down the king while the other comes in for the kill. The rooks can pick off pawns quite easily; that was the main challenge. He knew the queen bishop pair is not enough against 3. Basically 2 strong pieces to 1. After that determination he just played like Stockfish 3000 to bring it home. Congratulations Magnus.

In this opening of the chess disputed today, it reminds me of the Arab literature of the 6th century, with players considered the strongest, and a woman who was a slave and at the time had a lot of skill in chess. What can we understand over time and time, in generations of decades or in the circulation of chess from a century to centuries, that a game or considered as a sport chess is pure magic for those who experience and continue throughout their lives . GM Magnus Carsen and Equipe in an endgame, in this line today we must always anticipate the necessary moves, whether they are two or three moves ahead of the opponent. Gain a positional advantage by controlling space (domination) and time in your opponent's moves. Congratulations GM Carsen. 🙄🤔👏
Amazing how him and Ian just casually discuss the game afterwards, Ian must have been despairing inside at that point - I'm sorry he wasnt able to hold it together afterwards, a loss couldve inspired him to push harder but instead it left him in pieces, surely he'll win it one day, I hope so anyway
As someone who doesn't know chess very well, these long form games are much easier to watch. The speed matches are amazing to see but I can't follow what's going on hahah
Yeah, I predicted this kind of win for Magnus in Game 4, but that wasn't going to happen with Nepo playing the Petrov, either way a historical win for Magnus and for chess!
Felt like in the scramble leading up to the first time control, Nepo was too respectful of Carlsen. There were obvious moves which gave him a big advantage but he simply didn't believe a player like Magnus would allow him such opportunities, and he played more complicated moves which ended up with the game becoming even again.
Magnus was under a minute, so he wanted to complicated the position so that Magnus blunders before time control, but all he ended up doing was giving away his advantage. It rarely works to play on your opponents time and try to pressure them into a blunder, especially on Magnus who is the greatest at bullet chess.
That was totally brutal from Magnus, not a perfect middlegame but that finish was so relentless, it almost feels unfair using the increment to just keep the game going until your opponent slips up, really feel bad for Ian after that
Waaaaay out of what this video is about, but I have a question; Does anyboby know what the piano instrumental in the beginning is called, or at least who the composer is? I just found the music so beatiful and would LOVE to find out more about the masterpiece!!
Maybe a stupid question, but where are the players going when they stand up and walk away? Aren't they wasting time when they cannot see the move their opponent made?

As a fan, I tried to imitate your footsteps to sacrifice my queen & rook. but i lost
Incredible game. What a great time I just had.

Please upload boris gefand vs anand wwc all round full matches ..
I knew Magnus would win round 6. I just knew it. I even predicted it on r/chess
Yeah, I predicted this kind of win for Magnus in Game 4, but that wasn't going to happen with Nepo playing the Petrov, either way a historical win for Magnus and for chess!
GOAT won!
Shame we couldn't hear the players conversation at the end fully without commentary noise.

Huge respect for Nepo
Congratulations 👏 👏 👏 🥳
I knew Magnus will win this game. You will not beat Magnus' endgame.
Great magnus
Felt like in the scramble leading up to the first time control, Nepo was too respectful of Carlsen. There were obvious moves which gave him a big advantage but he simply didn't believe a player like Magnus would allow him such opportunities, and he played more complicated moves which ended up with the game becoming even again.
Magnus was under a minute, so he wanted to complicated the position so that Magnus blunders before time control, but all he ended up doing was giving away his advantage. It rarely works to play on your opponents time and try to pressure them into a blunder, especially on Magnus who is the greatest at bullet chess.
8 hours of a solid game of Chess, wow, congratulations Magnus Carlsen 🐐 for the win in Game 6! Great game and great comeback
That was totally brutal from Magnus, not a perfect middlegame but that finish was so relentless, it almost feels unfair using the increment to just keep the game going until your opponent slips up, really feel bad for Ian after that
love this game
Waaaaay out of what this video is about, but I have a question; Does anyboby know what the piano instrumental in the beginning is called, or at least who the composer is? I just found the music so beatiful and would LOVE to find out more about the masterpiece!!
Magnesium calcium is the best
Maybe a stupid question, but where are the players going when they stand up and walk away? Aren't they wasting time when they cannot see the move their opponent made?
