Bryan Ferry is an incredibly class act.
He, and the band, richly deserve their success.

I am amazed that Ferry spent more time thanking all the musicians and technical people who helped them, rather than patting himself and his band on the back.
Then again, he IS a gentleman.

Apparently, when he and his son were on the British Airways flight to Kenya when the hijacker got into the cockpit and forced the plane into a dive, his son said something like, "Fucking hell, we're all going to die", and Bryan Ferry allegedly replied, "Stop swearing". That's cool under pressure.

Roxy Music offered up a cool, suave and often romantic sound. The band was comprised of truly great musicians who worked hard to achieve their unique sound. Many thanks, Brian Ferry and bandmates! Many thanks to WMMS (Cleveland, OH) and in particular, Kid Leo, for playing a LOT of Roxy's music back in the 1970s.

out of all the UK born bands that Ive ever seen or listened to, Roxy Music became "gentleman statesmen" without even trying...Ive heard the Stones music in every sort of place from bathhouses to hospital lounges. Ive heard The Who's music everywhere from amusement parks to the music you hear on your phone as you're waiting for a sales rep from Amazon to pick up...but Roxy Music was the band you heard 'on the box', when you went to the very "with it" pool party somewhere in Palm Springs or Hollywood Hills. They were always too cool for us common folk.
