Today, if you look at the advertisements for airlines, they "still" show women who look manufactured. Emirates Airlines has a practice of hiring "certain" types of women for their daytime flights. China Southern will only hire women with certain (Los Angeles Times). Both are statements are true, in fact.
Was recently on a flight from YYZ-HKG and back and for some reason, the uniform looked really big and ill-fitting on some of the flight attendants... but still a very nice uniform nevertheless.

Flight crew is fresh, friendly, and attentative. Too bad US carriers have bad service, tired, haggard, and rude crew.
The new uniform is atrocious. You show too much skin when the crew reaches up or bends down. They're not meat - this is extremely unfair for them.
